This study was conducted to understand the relationship between the heat conduction and the tracking and erosion of insulating materials due to outdoor pollution. Silicon Carbide was surface-modified under a silicon base, and the modified SiC nanoparticles were dispersed in a silicone resin for dispersibility and interfacial reinforcement to prepare SiR/Nano SiC composites. The characteristics of heat conduction according to the change of SiC filling content were studied. Leakage current and erosion depth and amount of erosion according to the change of filling content 0, 1, 3, 5, 7, wt% were obtained from the tracking and erosion properties. In addition, it was found that the interrelationship of how the tracking and erosion properties were influenced by the heat conduction had a significant effect.

기존의 여러 산업공정에서 사용되고 있는 여과시스템들은 각 공정의 적용분야와 적용소재 등에 따라 다양하게 활용되어왔다. 본 연구에서는 현재 산업용 디스플레이 소재로 많이 사용하고 있는 글라스를 불산계 에칭제로 처리할 때 발생하는 글라스 슬러지 입자를 효율적으로 제거하는 여과시스템에 대하여 연구하였다. 본 연구의 과정에서 생성된 글라스 슬러지의 입자들은 그 크기가 작게는 1㎛이하에서부터 크게는 수백㎛에 이르기까지 다양하게 분포하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그중에서 일부 무거운 입자들은 중력침강되나, 미세한 입자들의 경우에는 공정상에서 유체와 같이 부유하면서, 깨끗한 글라스의 표면에 부착하여 제품의 품질을 떨어뜨리는 원인이 될 수 있다. 이러한 원인을 제거하기 위해서 효율적인 여과시스템의 개발이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서 개발한 여과시스템은 기존의 흡입원통형 여과시스템을 글라스에칭 공정에 맞게 변형하여 적용하였으며, 그 결과 유체와 같이 흐르는 입자들 중에서 수십㎛로부터 수백㎛ 크기의 입자들을 포집할 수 있었고, 평균 98%의 포집효율을 얻을 수 있었다. Various filtering-systems have been applied according to each process such as environmental process, erasion process and separation process etc. In this study, a new filtering system is introduced glass etching process for TFT-LCD module in glass slimming process. Glass sludge is produced by chemical etching process of glass. So, we study how to capture the sludge efficiently. We find out the range of sludge particles from below 1㎛ to above 100㎛. large-sized particles precipitate and small-sized particles flow with liquid. They cause various defects on the surface of glass. We need to develop the system of filter to remove the defects on the glass after slimming process. This filtering system of drum type is applied in this glass etching process. As a result, the filtering system can capture the medium and large sized particles and the capturing efficiency was about 98%.

In this study, a new wet etching method and the solution for thinning the glass with the thickness below 100 μm were investigated. For the preparation of etching solution with low hydrofluoric acid, it was effective to use NH(4)HF(2) as a main ingredient with addition of sulfuric acid. Flexibility of the etched glass was greatly improved at below 100 μm thickness. To confirm the possibility as flexible display substrate, the ultra thin grass with 50 μm thickness was coated with ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) transparent electrode and its electrical conductivity was investigated.

Eosinophilic cholecystitis is a rare disease characterized by transmural leukocyte infiltration composed of more than 90% eosinophils. Eosinophilic cholecystitis is clinically indistinguishable from ordinary cholecystitis, and as a rule it leads to cholecystectomy. We report a case of idiopathic eosinophilic cholecystitis treated with steroids. A 75-year-old woman presented with a classic history of acute cholecystitis and a peripheral eosinophilia of 41.8%. There was no evidence of allergy or parasitic infestation. An abdominal ultrasonography and computed tomography (CT) scan showed an edematous, thickened gallbladder wall, but no gallstones. There was no evidence of eosinophilic infiltration in other organs. Cholecystectomy was not performed because the patient refused surgical management. However, fever, abdominal pain, and peripheral eosinophilia persisted despite antibiotic and conservative therapy. Therefore, we attempted treatment with prednisolone. A week later, the symptoms disappeared and the peripheral eosinophilia normalized.
Density Functional Theory(DFT) 방법을 사용한 Glycine 분자와 H₂O 분자 상호작용의 Ab Initio 계산연구

Density functional theory(DFT) has been used to optimize the complex of glycine-H₂O). The optimized geometries and stabilization energies in the glycine-H₂O complex have been obtained by ab initio calculations at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) level. Six glycine-H₂O) complexes are tried to optimize geometries and to calculate stabilization energies. The stabilization energies of glycine with internal hydrogen bond show tH₂O the carboxyl group of glycine is a favorable position in the first step of hydration process. The stabilization energies of glycine-H₂O) complexes are calculated in the 5.18kcaVmol - 11.17kca/mol range at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) calculations.

Study Design : We classified adult isthmic spondylolisthesis based on the findings of postmyelographic CT scanning. Objectives : To propose a new classification that could be used as a useful guideline when evaluating the patient with adult isthmic spondylolisthesis. Summary of Literature Review : Morphologic changes of the spinal canal and its neural contents in the adult patient with isthmic spondylolisthesis and their relations to radiological variables have not been well described i n literature. Materials and Methods : 32 adult patients with one level isthmic spondylolisthesis underwent myelography followed by CT scanning. Based on these findings, we classified each patient with four morphologic criteria; 1. dural station I or II by the location of dural sac, 2. non-compression or compression type by the existence of lateral compression of dural sac. 3. root station I or II by the location of nerve root, 4. hook or smooth type by the shape of spinal canal. Subsequent statistical analyses to assess the relationships between our newly developed classification and clinical variables were tested by SPSS software. Results : Dural station correlated positively with percent slip(rpb=0.39; p=0.026). Patient age was closely related to the lateral compression(rpb=0.54, p<0.01) which consequently decreased transverse diameter of dural sac(rpb=-0.68, p<0.01). Both dural station and lateral compression were important in the prediction of the extent of the dural involvement. Root station of the smooth type correlated positively with percent slip(rpb=0.47; p=0.038), while that of the hook type did not. Consequently, nerve root of the hook type entered neural foramen under the pedicle, whereas that of the smooth type entered at various locations depending on the degrees of percent slip. Depth of lateral recess was significantly less in the hook type than in the smooth type(p<0.01). Stretching of the nerve root, produced by posterior migration of the nerve root, was observed only in the smooth type. Conclusions : We strongly recommend the use of our classification because it is easy to apply and has a high correlation with radiological variables.
외상성 주관절 변형과 동반된 지연성 척골 신경마비의 치료

Thirty-five patients with tardy ulnar nerve palsy caused by cubitus valgus (33 cases) and varus (2 cases) deformities were retrospectively studied. All patients had a history of old fracture on the distal humerus during childhood. The mean interval between the previous fractures and the onset of ulnar neuropathy was 19 years. The severity of nerve palsy was classified as McGowan's grade I in 24 patients, grade II in 8 patients, and grade III in 3 patient.. The mean carrying angle was average 29 degrees in 33 cases with cubitus valgus and it was decreased to average 11 degrees postoperatively, hut the angle was average -23 degrees preoperatively in 2 cases with cubitus varus and it was corrected to average 9 degrees postoperatively. The cause of palsy was analysed by mechanical stretching in 11 cases, compression by a fibrous band between the two heads of flexor carpi ulnaris in 8 cases, and diffuse fibrous adhesion around the ulnar tunnel in 5 cases, All patients was treated with supracondylar closing wedge osteotomy accompanied with anterior ulnar nerve transposition in l3 patients, corrective osteotomy only in 12 patients, and anterior ulnar nerve transposition only in 10 patients. Their end results were analysed as good in 24 cases, fair in 8 cases, and poor in 3 cases within average 6 months after the operations (4 to 13 months). The poor results was obtained in 3 cases out of 9 cases with corrective osteotomy group (33.3%). Conclusively, a tardy ulnar nerve palsy caused by post-traumatic elbow deformities should be corrected with anterior ulnar nerve transposition with or without corrective closing wedge osteotomy hut not by corrective osteotomy only, because of compressive neuropathy by diffuse fibrous adhesion or bands of two heads of FCU around the ulnar tunnel in elbow.
