Clear cell tumor of the lung is a rare and very unusual benign pulmonary tumor. As clear cell tumor of the lung contains abundant cytoplasmic glycogen, this tumor is called “sugar tumor”. We report a case of sugar tumor in a 64-yr-old man presenting as a round pulmonary nodule. On dynamic computed tomography (CT) scans, the solitary pulmonary nodule showed early wash-in enhancement with an early washout pattern like a lung malignancy. The patient underwent wedge resection for the tumor. Pathologic examination, including immunohistochemical studies, revealed that the nodule was a benign clear cell tumor, so-called “sugar tumor”. Because only a small number of cases have been reported previously, clinical aspects, radiological characteristics on dynamic contrast-enhanced CT, and differential diagnosis of the tumor are not well established. Herein we present a clear cell tumor of the lung and discuss the clinical, radiological, and pathological features of the tumor.
펄스 와전류(Pulsed eddy current)를 이용한 도시철도차량의 Under Frame Side Sill 부식 평가

Under frame side sill of rolling stock structure is designed for preventing corrosion in order to meet mechanical requirements. However during long operation time more than 20 years, there are corrosion in the under frame side sill caused by environmental effect, vibration and etc. So, detection and evaluation of the corrosion in the under frame nondestructive is one of important issues to extend their life time. Most of nondestructive methods are not easy to apply for detecting corrosion in the under frame side sill, since the under frame side sill consist of there layered with different material (stainless steel - stainless steel - mild steel) and each layer is connected by spot weld and plug weld. Fortunately, pulsed eddy current method claimed that it can be measured not only thickness change but also corrosion under their insulation layers. So, in this study, we have investigated performance of pulsed eddy current testing method by measuring thickness variation of fabricate of mock-up specimens. The investigation results obtained from mock-up specimens and the corrosion evaluation results of the aged rolling stocks will be presented.

Liquefied natural gas has the unique distinction of being the only flammable or hazardous material. Inspection effectiveness may be introduced into the probability of failure calculation by using Bayesian analysis or more directly by modifying the model for the independent variables, the distribution function and parameters, such as mean and coefficient of variation, changed based on the NDE method and coverage used during an inspection. Available failure data from the LNG industry are often statistically unreliable. Therefore, we need to improve more accurate information data. NDE reliability matrix is to apply optimization method of the NDE method. Reliability matrix is composed with combinations of environment reliability and inspection reliability. Environment parameters consist of inspector qualification and experience, test condition and inspection reliability parameters are composed of the inspection method and process method, such as UT, ET, RT and s/n ratio, signal processing method, etc. Finally, this paper purposes that the Reliability matrix is a powerful tool for risk assessment of not only the LNG industry but also in other industry.
