The purpose of this study is to determine the ageing mechanism of Mica/Epoxy composite material for large generator stator windings in order to estimate remaining life of generator. X-ray analysis is performed to investigate the position and structure of mica crystal in insulation materials. The phase change of aged and sound specimen under each atmosphere isn't observed. Surface analysis of insulation materials by optical microscope also show that the sound and aged specimen, sliding phenomenon by shear and thermal stress is observed both interface between mica and epoxy.
포도종실 추출물이 Methylcellulose 필름 성질에 미치는 영향

The film with methylcellulose(MC) and grape seed extract(GSE) were prepared by casting their aqueous solution at 80℃ and drying at 23℃ for 48 hrs. Effect of grape seed extract(GSE) on the barrier permeabilities and the thermomechanical property of methylcellulose(MC) film was studied. The barrier permeabilities and the thermomechanical property of MC film containing various contents of GSE were evaluated in terms of water vapor, oxygen permeabilities, and dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA). The rate of water vapor permeability of MC film decreased with GSE contnets in the MC films. Also, the rate of oxygen permeability also decreased with GSE contents indicating higher oxygen barrier property of MC film. The results showed that GSE had a good miscibility with MC and acted as a plasticizer for MC film resuling in lowering the glass transition temperature of the film.

We report the case of a 23-year-old woman who developed bowenoid papulosis of the vulva and subsequent periungual Bowen`s disease. She had a history of a long standing periungual wart on her right thumb before the outbreak of periungual Bowen`s disease. By HPV DNA chip, human papillomavirus (HPV) 11, 18 and 31 were identified from the periungual lesions, and HPV 11, 18 and 33 from the vulvar lesion. This case supports the theory of anogenital-digital spread of HPV, and proposes that the periungual wart may change into Bowen`s disease by mucosal HPVs. To the best of our knowledge, this case is important as the first Korean case of periungual Bowen`s disease concurrent with bowenoid papulosis of the vulva. (Ann Dermatol 23(4) 493 ~496, 2011)
Dermoscopic Approach to a Small Round to Oval Hairless Patch on the Scalp

Background: Various kinds of alopecia can show smallround or oval hairless patch. Dermoscopy could be a simple,useful tool for making a correct diagnosis. Objective: Theaim of this study is to investigate clinical usefulness ofdermoscopy for diseases with small round or oval hairlesspatch on the scalp. Methods: Dermoscopic examination wasperformed for 148 patients with small round or oval hairlesspatch using DermLiteⓡ II pro. The type and its patientnumber of alopecia investigated in the study were as below:alopecia areata (n=81), trichotillomania (n=24), tinea captis(n=13), traction alopecia (n=12), lichen planopilaris (n=8), discoid lupus erythematosus (n=7), congenital triangularalopecia (n=2) and pseudopelade of Brocq (n=1). Thesignificance of dermoscopic findings for each disease wereevaluated. Results: Characteristic dermoscopic findings ofalopecia areata were tapering hairs and yellow dots. Thoseof trichotillomania and traction alopecia were broken hairs. Dermoscopic findings of tinea capitis included bent hairs,perifollicular white macules and greasy scales. Discoid lupuserythematosus and lichen planopilaris were characterizedby dermoscopic findings of lack of follicular ostia. Furthermore,keratin plugs were frequently seen in discoidlupus erythematosus whereas perifollicular hyperkeratosisand erythema were frequently seen in lichen planopilaris. Conclusion: Dermoscopic examination for small round oroval hairless patch showed characteristic findings for eachdisease. Based on these results, we propose dermoscopicalgorithm for small round or oval hairless patch on the scalp.
