A compliant mechanism is a mechanism that produces its motion by the flexibility of some or all of its members when the input forces are applied. Whereas the topology optimization based on homogenization and SIMP parameterization has been successfully applied for compliant mechanism design, an ESO approach has not been considered yet for the optimization of these types of systems. This work presents a modified version of the evolutionary structural optimization (ESO) Procedure for its application in topology optimization of compliant mechanisms, It will be shown that an additive version of this method must be adopted in order to achieve the optimum design, since the traditional ESO method's element removal technique is not efficient in this case. The methodology is based on a mutual energy concept for formulation of flexibility and the ESO method. A multi-objective optimization problem is formulated as an application of compliant mechanism design. The procedure has tested in several numerical applications and benchmark examples to illustrate and validate the approach.

There, is increasing evidence suggesting that passive smoking increases the risk of lung cancer and other disease. though the potential health effects of exposure to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) is a controversial subject. Since smoking in restaurant is prevalent in Korea. The concern on passive smoking exposure of non smoking service workers has been. requested. ETS exposure of non smoking service workers at restaurant was assessed because they have spent their times in restaurant indoors. The purpose of this study was feasibility of nitrogen dioxide(NO_(2))as exposure marker of ETS. The results of the study were as follows: 1. Average NO_(2), concentrations in indoor and outdoor at restaurants were 57.01ppb(±12.4) and 54.29ppb(±9.54), respectively. Comparing office-workers, service-workers at restaurants were exposured highly. 2. The personal NO_(2) measurement as exposure marker of ETS could cause The exposure error because NO_(2) can he generated by combustion appliances in indoor. 3. Service-workers spent their most time (86.6%) in indoor. Mean time spent at restaurant indoors and at home was 9.4 hours and 10.9 hours. respectively. 4. Personal NO_(2) levels correlated with indoor NO_(2) concentrations of restaurant (r=0.70) and of their home (r= 0.52) rather than of outdoor NO_(2) concentration of restaurant (r=0.35). The causes of personal NO_(2) exposure of non-smoking service-workers were considered as smoking of guests and combustion appliance indoors. 5. Personal NO_(2) exposures were estimated using Monte-Carlo simulation and time-weighted model. Estimated personal NO_(2) level was 47.2ppb (±8.3).

Disposal of a homicide victim by dismemberment is rare, but individual cases are on record in most major medicolegal departments. Recognition of postmortem mutilation may be of importance in the interpretation of certain murders committed by sexual perverts and other mentally deranged individuals and sometimes performed for the sole reason of easier disposal of the body. Postmortem dismemberment is usually readily recognizable as such; The edges of the injuries are dry and lack evidence of bleeding. The joints may be disarticulated without fracture, or the use of an axe or saw may be evident from examination of bones. Parallel horizontal or oblique furrows in the bone surface are caused by skipping of the saw prior to establishing depth. Such patterns on the bone may assist in identifying the particular saw involved. So we report 25 dismembered corpses that autopsied in National Institute of Scientific Investigation. This paper can help in attempting to establish not only the first criminal investigation steps but also the medicolegal approach methods in unidentified and dismembered deaths.

This study aims to the examine the development strategy and usage of software for farmers through demand survey of farmers. This study also analyzes the situations and problems that farmers encounter when using software, demand on software, and kind of software that they want to use in their farm management in the future. The category of satisfaction and dissatisfaction on software for farm management is classified for useful software development and the reason of quitting using software. Results of the survey revealed that to increase software utilization after development and distribution of software, educational opportunity for farmers should be provided; use of various distribution channels and distribution of appropriate software.

The authors analysed 53 cases of sudden cardiac death(SCD) without prominent structural abnormalies of heart out of witnessed 300 cases. Thirty four cases were associated with sleep and 19 with activity or rest. Twenty one cases were classified as having normal hearts, and the rest as structurally mild abnormal ones. Male was predominant, and almost of the victims were suffered in their twenties or thirties. All cases collapsed instantaneously or in very short time with various and not specific terminal symptoms. Inducing or trigger factors are not clarified in almost of the cases. Mechanisms or causes of death could not be defined clearly. We concluded that careful heart examination with detailed clinical history under the appropriate postmortem investigation system is only effective approach for the true mechanism and cause of death.
치은연하 파절로 치조골 소실을 동반한 상악측절치에서 orthodontic extrusive remodeling후 임플란트 식립을 통한 심미수복 : 증례보고

심미적으로 중요한 전치부에서 단일 치아 임플란트를 이용한 보철수복은 임상의에게 새로운 도전과제 중의 하나가 되었다. 그러나 전치부에서 single-unit implant는 식립할 부위의 치조골 상태가 양호해야 하는데 치은연하 파절로 인해 치아 주위에 골 손실이 있는 경우 immediate implant는 심미적으로 문제를 야기할 수 있다. 따라서 본 증례는 "orthodontic extrusive remodeling"을 통해 파절치와 주위 조직을 교정적으로 정출시켜 임플란트 식립을 위한 연조직과 경조직을 증대시킨 후 임플란트 식립을 통해 상악측절치에서 성공적인 심미수복을 이룬 증례에 관한 것이다. The treatment of esthetic areas with single-tooth implants represents a new challenge for the clinician. In 1993, a modification of the forced eruption technique, called "orthodontic extrusive remodelling" was proposed as a way to augment both soft- and hard-tissue profiles at potential implant sites. This case report describes augmentation of the coronal soft and hard tissues around a fractured maxillary lateral incisor associated with alveolar bone loss, which was achieved by forced orthodontic extrusion before implant placement. Through these procedures we could reconstruct esthetics and function in a hopeless tooth diagnosed with subgingival root fracture by trauma.

This paper presents a Reliability-Based Topology Optimization (RBTO) using Evolutionary Structural Optimization (ESO). An actual design involves uncertain conditions such as material property, operational load and dimensional variation. Deterministic Topology Optimization (DTO) is obtained without considering of uncertainties related to the uncertainty parameters. However, RBTO involves evaluation of probabilistic constraints, which can be done in two different ways, the reliability index approach (RIA) and the performance measure approach (PMA). Limit state function is approximated using Monte Carlo Simulation and Central Composite Design for reliability analysis. ESO, one of the topology optimization techniques, is adopted for topology optimization. Numerical examples are presented to compare the DTO with RBTO.

However, the RBTO can consider the uncertainty variables because it has the probabilistic constraints, In order to determine whether the probabilistic constraint is satisfied or not, simulation techniques and approximation methods are developed, In this paper, the reliability index approach (RIA) is adopted to evaluate the probabilistic constraint, In order to apply the ESO method to the RBTO, a sensitivity number is defined as the change in the reliability index due to the removal of ith element. Numerical examples are presented to compare the DTO with the RBTO.
