In general, thermal power plant piping is designed based on ASME B31.1. In the old power plant piping due to long-term operation, pipe damage may occur due to displacement beyond the design value. To predict pipe failure in advance, it is important to predict the local stress at the point of failure. Existing numerical analysis techniques for predicting local stresses in power generation piping could only be performed under limited boundary conditions. In this study, an Advanced numerical analysis technique using displacement and rotation information of a pipe in operation was presented, and the results of the improved numerical analysis technique for sample intuition were compared and verified with the analytical solution.

This essay asks whether contemporary Korean films have produced a new cinema, by critically examining the criteria by which Korean films are said to be new. It attempts to posit a universalising theory rather than making particular claims about Korean films, by suggesting that whether a film text is new or not will depend on its individual mode of address. To explore this problem further, this study draws on the concept of ‘concrete universality’ from a Lacanian/Žižekian standpoint. For my purpose, it refers to examining how a kind of disruptive element in a film text’s formal structure obtrudes into the diegetic reality, thus revealing a cinematic distortion in the smooth running of reality. The Host (Bong Joon-ho, 2006) reveals what cannot be said in an explicit narrative line, thus allowing us to redefine the whole narrative line. As it provides an interpretive possibility that Hyun-seo dies at the moment she is snatched by the monster, it challenges the viewer to an encounter with the inherent contradictions of family and South Korea’s social fabric.

대형 석탄 화력발전소의 보일러는 안정적인 전력량 수급을 위하여, 계속적인 운전 혹은 기동 · 정지가 반복하면서 운전 되는 등 매우 열악한 상태에서 운전되고 있기 때문에 신뢰성을 유지하기 위한 주기적 점검과 정비는 필수적이다. 정비를 위한 기존의 비계시스템은 모든 하중이 하부로 집중되어 일부 부재에 문제 발생시 연쇄적으로 비계 시스템이 붕괴되는 문제점이 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 새로운 노내비계를 개발하여 상부에서 하중을 분산시키고, 일부 부재에 문제가 발생하더라도 연쇄 붕괴의 위험을 최소화하였다. 또한, 보일러 튜브의 구조로 인하여 직접적인 설치가 어려운 경우 노내비계의 설치를 위한 인양시스템을 개발하여 노내비계의 구조적인 안정성을 향상시키고 비계 작업자의 안전성을 확보하여 발전설비의 건전성을 확보할 수 있었다. Boilers of large-sized coal-fired power plants are being operated under very poor conditions such as continuous operation or repeating of start-up and shutdown for a stable supply of electricity. Thus periodic inspection and maintenance are required to ensure reliability of operation. The loads of existing scaffolding systems for the maintenance of boilers are concentrated in the lower parts structurally, which may cause a serial collapse of the overall scaffolding system when there are problems in some members. Therefore, in this study, a safe furnace scaffolding system is developed by dispersing the loads in the upper part, as well as minimizing the hazards of serial collapsing. In addition, for cases where the direct installation of furnace scaffolding is challenging owing to the structure of the boiler tube, a lifting system for the installation of furnace scaffolding is developed so that furnace scaffolding can be supported to secure the integrity of the power generating facility.

‘Hot Reheat Line’, which is the reheat steam pipeline among power plant pipe system supplies the reheated steam to the turbine and maintains the constant levels in temperature, pressure and flow rate through equalizing pipeline connected by branching from the main lines. As such a type of piping is the basic configuration of the power plant pipe, most of the coal-fired power plants have the same configuration, which thereby makes damages take place in the similar section and pattern. Similar pipe damages used to occur so repeatedly over time that the only way available would be to adjust the support devices and restore the damages tentatively through repair welding, as a sort of follow-up measure. In this study, it is assumed that the most integral state of the piping should be those initially installed based on the design, so that the pipelines in the Cold condition could be positioned close to the initial construction state, under which the changes of the stress distribution responding to changes of pipe positions would be confirmed by using AutoPIPE, a commercial pipe analysis program. thereafter, the strain gauges for high-temperature purpose are put up on the highly stressed sections to acquire the data concerned, with which the verification and evaluation processes could be carried out against the results of program analysis.

항일운동에서 '구성된' 아나코-코뮨주의와 아나키즘 해석경향에 대한 재고찰

이 연구는 일제 식민지 시기에 등장한 크로포트킨의 아나코-코뮨주의가 어떻게 한국사회에 수용되고 발전되었는지를 살핀다. 크로포트킨은 볼셰키비의 국가주의를 비판하며 연방주의를 제안했고 자본주의를 비판하며 소농 중심의 전원도시를 건설하려 했다. 이런 논의는 아나코-코뮨주의라는 독창적인 이론을 구성하게 했다. 공동체 내의 협동을 강조하는 한국의 전통은 크로포트킨의 상호부조론과 강한 친화성을 가졌고, 아나코-코뮨주의는 중요한 사회운동의 흐름이 되었다. 그리고 식민지 해방이라는 특수한 상황에서 크로포트킨의 이론은 국가주의나 자본주의만이 아니라 사회발전의 전제로 받아들여지던 사회진화론을 비판하고 국제주의적 연대를 가능하게 했다. 그렇지만 이 연구는 독자적인 사상으로서의 가치보다 당시의 사회운동에서 민족주의와 아나키즘, 공산주의가 어떻게 서로에게 영향을 미쳤는지에 초점을 둔다. 아나키즘이 민족주의나 사회주의와 구분되는 사상이었다는 점은 분명하지만 현실의 운동과정에서 독자노선만을 고집했다는 주장은 운동의 흐름을 지나치게 단순화시킨다는 점에서 논쟁의 여지를 가진다. 따라서 다양한 접목과 정에서 아나키즘이 어떤 영향을 주고받았는지를 살피는 것은 아나키즘의 현실을 변화시키는 흐름을 만들어낼 수 있다. This essay is the study of Kropotkin's anarcho-communism and anti-Japanese struggle during colonial period. Kropotkin criticized Bolshevik's Statism and capitalism, and he suggested federalism and small garden city based on peasant. Korean society was in accorded with anarcho-communism, because it had mutual aid tradition. And then anarcho-communism was getting more mainstream of social movement. In the darkness of Japanese period, Kropotkin's thought criticized social darwinism and expressed international solidarity. I notice the diversity of social movements during that period and focus on its variation. Though anarcho-communism was the original thought, there are many mixtures among social movement. So they helped each other. There have been extensive discussions about the anarchism, socialism, and nationalism. But there are a few critical analysis of whether anarchism had actually come under other ideologies. In this paper, it is very important to examine how anarchism interact with other ideologies.

생활정치와 로컬 거버넌스의 민주적 재구성

2010년 지방선거는 광역/기초자치단체의 한나라당 집중현상을 무너뜨렸을 뿐 아니라 공동지방정부라는 새로운 실험을 가져왔다. 이런 현상들은 지방자치제 실시 이후 지역사회에서 전개되는 생활정치의 활성화라는 맥을 타고 있다. 이 글은 2010년 지방선거를 통해 구성된 공동지방정부의 현황을 정리하고자 한다. 그리고 이 연구는 2010년 지방선거 이후 전국적으로 진행되고 있는 로컬 거버넌스와 생활정치의 흐름들을 공동지방정부와 주민참여예산제도를 통해 분석한다. 야권의 공동후보전술을 통한 공동정부의 출현이 로컬 거버넌스를 구현하고 있는지, 주민참여예산조례를 비롯해 아래로부터의 주민참여를 활성화시키려는 다양한 제도들이 시민들의 참여역량을 강화시키고 있는지를 분석한다. 이 연구는 민주적인 로컬 거버넌스가 구현되려면 생활정치의 활성화를 통해 실질적인 분권이 이루어지고 제도정치가 변화되며 생활권을 중심으로 한 행정개혁이 이루어져야 한다고 본다. This paper examines the performance and limitations of life politics and local governance after the Korean local election in June 2010, which defeat ruling Grand National Party. In addition, this study makes suggestions to improve the local movement reflecting the situations of political coalition. Although 2010 electoral coalition had positive effects, it exposed the limitations in the process. For example, it is necessary to make up the weak points regarding the decentralization of power, the guidance of civic participation, and the civic empowerment. But life politics was still restricted to the secondary role. Nevertheless, such experience tends to the reconstruction of local governance and revitalization of life politics.

특집논문 -문화의 맥락을 번역하기 : 비교영화연구의 방법과 과제

이 글은 비교영화연구를 위한 이론적 틀의 정립을 시도하는 글이다. 미래의 비교영화연구를 위한 이론적 토대를 마련할 때, 우선적으로 고려해야 할 방법론은 번역의 방법이다. 이를 살피기 위해 이 글에서는 사카이 나오키가 『번역과 주체』(2005)에서 제시한 번역 개념을 살펴보면서, 번역 개념이 비교영화연구의 토대를 마련하는데 어떤 역할을 할 수 있는지 검토한다. 사카이는 두 개의 상이한 문화가 자신들의 문화를 하나의 통일적 단위로 인식하는 것이야말로 이미 두 개의 문화 사이에서 발생하고 있는 번역 과정을 억압하는 것이라고 주장한다. 쉽게 말해, 영어를 한국어로 번역하는 과정의 경우, 영어와 한국어간에 번역상의 오류와 오해가 발생하리란 것은 통념적으로 쉽게 이해될 수 있는 것이다. 그러나 번역 상의 오류는 영어와 한국어 사이에서만 발생하는 것이 아니라, 동일한 언어를 사용한다고 가정되는 공동체 내부에도 역시 존재한다. 다시 말해, 동일한 언어를 사용한다고 해서 그 언어를 사용하는 사람들 사이에 오해가 없으리란 보장은 처음부터 성립하지 않는다는 것이다. 이 글에서는 사카이의 주장이 비교영화연구를 위한 중요한 축으로 기능할 수 있음을 주장하면서, 이와 동시에 비교영화연구를 세계체계적 맥락 속에서도 살펴보려고 한다. 이를 위해, 이 글에서는 세계체계의 맥락에서 세계문학의 가능성을 타진했던 프랑코 모레티(Franco Moretti)의 문제틀을 비판적으로 참조할 것이다. 세계체계 하에서 문학 텍스트의 생산이 외부적 형식과 지역적 소재의 협상과 타협에 의해 형성된다는 모레티의 주장은 세계문학 및 비교문학연구와 관련하여 매우 유용한 문제를 제기한다. 그러나 그럼에도 불구하고 외부적 형식과 지역적 소재의 대당 관계 자체를 재고할 필요가 있는데, 이는 외부적 형식이라는 것이 무엇보다도 자본주의와의 조우에 의해 대체될 필요가 있기 때문이다. 따라서 이 글에서는 비교영화연구에 관한 폴 윌먼(Paul Willemen) 의 선구적 연구를 검토하면서 비교영화연구의 기초적 기반을 외부적 형식 대 지역적 소재의 대당 관계 대신에, 하나의 지역적 문화 텍스트가 자본주의와 조우하는 과정으로 여기고자 한다. 비교영화연구의 기반을 자본주의와의 관련성 혹은 역사의 ‘작동들’(workings) 속에서 사고하는 윌먼의 입장을 수용하면서, 이 논문은 우리가 다른 문화를 이해할 수 있다면, 이는 각각의 문화적 차이에도 불구하고 그 차이들을 관통하는 하나의 조건, 즉 자본주의적 경험에서 비롯된 것임을 강조할 것이다. 이와 같은 이론적 시도들이 구체적인 텍스트 분석에서 실제로 어떻게 행사되는지 살펴보기 위해 영화 <오발탄>(1961)을 비교영화연구의 관점에서 분석할 것이다. This paper analyses the founding conditions for comparative film studies. In order to perform this task, it examines the notion of an ‘heterolingual address’ suggested by Sakai Naoki (2005). In his definition of translation, it does not refer to a mutual relationship between one culture and another, but refers to an incommensurable gap of one culture itself. The notion of Sakai’s translation constitutes an essential part of a future comparative film studies. The thesis also claims that there can be the other methods in developing a theoretical condition for comparative film studies. That is because comparative film studies needs to be understood as a specific form of social relationships within the force-field of world system. Franco Moretti(1999)’s idea on world literature and comparative literature is also examined here. While Morreti offers an excellent formulation for a possible comparative studies, I argue that we need to go beyond his notion, because a culturally specific product is a product from its encounter with capitalism rather than a compromise between foreign form and local material. In this sense, this paper examines the political valence of Paul Willemen’s suggestion on comparative film studies and examines how this notion can be productively articulated through the analysis of An Aimless Bullet (1961).
