A case report : ovarian torsion of Brenner tumor

Introduction: Borderline Brenner tumor of the ovary is a rare entity characterized by papillary structures with a fibro-vascular core, covered by a transitional epithelium, and by the absence of stromal infiltration. It is associated, by definition, with a benign component of Brenner tumor. We introduced a case about ovarian torsion of Brenner tumor. Material&method: A fifty-one years old women came to emergency room. Her chief complain was continous lower abd. pain since 3 days ago. She has 2 babies. Her menstrual cycle finished 1 years ago. She has Diabetes mellitus and hypertension. The CT scanning was compared prior CT imagings that was taken 4 years ago. There was a calcified solid mass on Rt. ovary in prior CT, About 13x10x10cm-sized well defined multiseptated cystic lesion was added on this mass. There was small amount ascites. There was a twisted ovarian pedicle on inferior portion of mass. About 7.3x9.6x8.6cm-sized well defined mass was on Lt. adnexa. The upper portion of Rt. mass was cystic portion, and the lower portion was solid mass. There was small Lymph node on Lt. paraaortic region. It seemed the reactive lesion. The beta-hcg level was below 1.20. The AFP level was 2.32. The CEA level was 2.0. The CA19-9 level was below 2.00. The CA125 level was 20.2. After low midline incision was made. Entering abdominal cavity, the uterus was normal. Both ovary cyst was seen and The Rt. ovary was twisted for 3 times. Bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy was done. The result of frozen biopsy was both brenner tumor. Result: The pathologist's conclusion was Brenner tumor originated from both ovaries. and Ovarian cystic fluid was no definite malignant tumor cells present. Her symptom such as severe abdominal pain was disappeared after surgery. Conclusion:Further investigation is required to determine whether associated Brenner tumors found during frozen section are more highly associated with malignancy and could therefore change intraop-erative and overall decision making.

본 논문에서는 이동 금속 물체 탐지 목적의 무선 센서네트워크 응용 시스템에 이용 가능한 저연산, 저전력 소모를 목적으로하는 간결한 신호처리 알고리즘을 제안한다. 일반적 센서노드에 주로 사용되는 자기센서의 물리적 특성을 분석하고 Exponential Average method(EA)를 사용하여 시간 영역에서 실시간으로 센서 신호를 처리한다. EA를 사용하여 잡음, 시간, 온도에 따른 자기장 변화, 외부 간섭에 강인하면서 임베디드 프로세서에 적합한 적은 메모리소모와 연산량을 가진다. 또한 통계적 분석을 통해 제안하는 알고리즘의 최적화된 파라미터 값을 도출하고 적용하였다. 보편적으로 사용되는 자기 센서 모델의 시뮬레이션 결과 5%의 오경보 확률에서 90%이상의 이동 물체를 탐지할 수 있었다. 그리고 직접 제작한 센서 노드의 모델링 및 이를 이용한 시뮬레이션과 외부 실험의 결과 60∼70% 이상의 탐지 확률을 확인하였다. This paper suggests the novel light-weight signal processing algorithm for wireless sensor network applications which needs low computing complexity and power consumption. Exponential average method (EA) is utilized by real time, to process the magnetometer signal which is analyzed to understand the own physical characteristic in time domain. EA provides the robustness about noise, magnetic drift by temperature and interference, furthermore, causes low memory consumption and computing complexity for embedded processor. Hence, optimal parameter of proposal algorithm is extracted by statistical analysis. Using general and precision magnetometer, detection probability over 90% is obtained which restricted by 5% false alarm rate in simulation and using own developed magnetometer H/W, detection probability over 60∼70% is obtained under 1∼5% false alarm rate in simulation and experiment.

This paper describes the development trends and service provision examples of disaster occurrence and spread prediction technology for various disasters such as tsunamis, floods, and fires. In terms of fires, we introduce the WIFIRE system, which predicts the spread of large forest fires in the United States, and the Metro21: Smart Cities Institute project, which predicts the risk of building fires. This paper describes the development trends in tsunami prediction technology in the United States and Japan using artificial intelligence (AI) to predict the occurrence and size of tsunamis that cause great damage to coastal cities in Japan, Indonesia, and the United States. In addition, it introduces the NOAA big data platform built for natural disaster prediction, considering that the use of big data is very important for AI-based disaster prediction. In addition, Google's flood forecasting system, domestic and overseas earthquake early warning system development, and service delivery cases will be introduced.
Vaginal leiomyoma in an adolescent woman

We report a case of vaginal wall leiomyoma in a young lady. Vaginal wall is a rare area that leiomyoma occurs which has reported approximately 300cases until now whose average age is 35~50years old. But, the patient we report is 18 years old adolescent women with sexually virgin. She presented first at local gynecology clinic with frequent(every two weeks) menstruation and for excluding organic causes rectal ultrasonography was done. Through ultrasonography, 3.5 cm sized vaginal wall mass was observed. The patient was referred to Jesus hospital gynecology clinic. Digital rectal examination was done and it is confirmed that there was no rectal mucosal invasion and there is no tenderness. To know the character of the mass and relationship with surrounding organs, MRI was done. The mass was probably seen leiomyoma and located in rectovaginal septum. The surgery was planned for the pathologic diagnosis and, because the patient was sexually virgin, the mass removal was done by rectovaginal approach. The patient was recovered without complications and final pathologic diagnosis was vaginal wall leiomyoma.
A retroperitoneal dedifferentiated liposarcoma mimicking an ovarian tumor

A 74-year-old postmenopausal woman visited our gynecology clinic complaining of a palpable abdominal mass. Physical and radiological evaluation indicated that the mass exhibited features of a left ovarian neoplasm showing heterogeneous enhancement. Surgical resection was performed to confirm this suspicion. During surgery, a mass was observed only in the left ovary with no invasive growth, but adhesions to the surrounding peritoneum were seen. Given the patient's age, large mass size, and accompanying uterine myoma and right ovarian cyst, total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy was performed. The final pathologic diagnosis was dedifferentiated liposarcoma. The liposarcoma was suspected to originate from retroperitoneal adipose tissue rather than the ovary. Radiotherapy was planned if a gross lesion indicating recurrence followed 6 months later. This case required a considerable multi-disciplinary approach for diagnosis and treatment because of its ambiguous clinical and radiological findings.
