A case report : ovarian torsion of Brenner tumor

Introduction: Borderline Brenner tumor of the ovary is a rare entity characterized by papillary structures with a fibro-vascular core, covered by a transitional epithelium, and by the absence of stromal infiltration. It is associated, by definition, with a benign component of Brenner tumor. We introduced a case about ovarian torsion of Brenner tumor. Material&method: A fifty-one years old women came to emergency room. Her chief complain was continous lower abd. pain since 3 days ago. She has 2 babies. Her menstrual cycle finished 1 years ago. She has Diabetes mellitus and hypertension. The CT scanning was compared prior CT imagings that was taken 4 years ago. There was a calcified solid mass on Rt. ovary in prior CT, About 13x10x10cm-sized well defined multiseptated cystic lesion was added on this mass. There was small amount ascites. There was a twisted ovarian pedicle on inferior portion of mass. About 7.3x9.6x8.6cm-sized well defined mass was on Lt. adnexa. The upper portion of Rt. mass was cystic portion, and the lower portion was solid mass. There was small Lymph node on Lt. paraaortic region. It seemed the reactive lesion. The beta-hcg level was below 1.20. The AFP level was 2.32. The CEA level was 2.0. The CA19-9 level was below 2.00. The CA125 level was 20.2. After low midline incision was made. Entering abdominal cavity, the uterus was normal. Both ovary cyst was seen and The Rt. ovary was twisted for 3 times. Bilateral salpingo-oopherectomy was done. The result of frozen biopsy was both brenner tumor. Result: The pathologist's conclusion was Brenner tumor originated from both ovaries. and Ovarian cystic fluid was no definite malignant tumor cells present. Her symptom such as severe abdominal pain was disappeared after surgery. Conclusion:Further investigation is required to determine whether associated Brenner tumors found during frozen section are more highly associated with malignancy and could therefore change intraop-erative and overall decision making.

하이브리드 로켓에서 파라핀계 연료의 연소 특성을 HDPE 연료와 비교하였다. 순수 파라핀 왁스를 사용한 경우 후퇴율은 HDPE에 비해 12.1배로 매우 빠른 후퇴율을 보였으나 특성 속도는 매우 낮았다. 순수 파라핀에 10 wt%의 LDPE를 블렌딩한 연료의 경우 순수 파라핀에 비해 후퇴율이 감소한 반면 HDPE에 비해서는 3.5배로 빠른 후퇴율을 보이면서도 특성속도는 증가되었다. 이를 통해 순수 파라핀에 폴리머계 연료를 블렌딩함으로써 연소 효율을 개선할 수 있음을 확인하였다. Combustion characteristics of the paraffin-based hybrid rocket fuel were compared with HDPE fuel. Regression rate of the pure paraffin wax was increased 12.1 times, but characteristic velocity was lower than HDPE. In case of parafffin fuel with 10%wt LDPE, regression rate was lower than pure paraffin wax, but regression rate compare with HDPE was increased 3.5 times and characteristic velocity was increased. According to these results, it was confirmed that blending of polymeric fuel improves combustion efficiency.
Implementation and Analysis of Win32 Native Distributed Compilation System - WinDistcc

Many software vendors are suffering from heavy compilation overload because the size of their software product is getting bigger and bigger. One of the promising solutions to reduce the compilation time is to use a distributed compiler. It allows us to compile multiple files on several machines concurrently. However most of distributed compilers can’t deliver ideal performance due to many undesired overheads such as communication overhead, lack of resources, load imbalance, file dependence, and so on. In order to study the detailed performance matrices, we developed the Win32 prototype of a distributed compiler based on distcc (GNU distributed compiler) [1], [2], called WinDistcc. WinDistcc contains additional features based on distcc’s basic functions. The compiler supports two kinds of compilation modes: a local preprocessing or a remote preprocessing. We measured the performances in both cases and identify reasons of performance degradation in normal distributed compilers. Based on the performance study, we could understand the design requirement for ideal distributed compilers.

In this paper, we suggest the approach based on trust about processing data including personally identifiable information for preserving and protecting in the environment using FinTech.
A retroperitoneal dedifferentiated liposarcoma mimicking an ovarian tumor

A 74-year-old postmenopausal woman visited our gynecology clinic complaining of a palpable abdominal mass. Physical and radiological evaluation indicated that the mass exhibited features of a left ovarian neoplasm showing heterogeneous enhancement. Surgical resection was performed to confirm this suspicion. During surgery, a mass was observed only in the left ovary with no invasive growth, but adhesions to the surrounding peritoneum were seen. Given the patient's age, large mass size, and accompanying uterine myoma and right ovarian cyst, total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy was performed. The final pathologic diagnosis was dedifferentiated liposarcoma. The liposarcoma was suspected to originate from retroperitoneal adipose tissue rather than the ovary. Radiotherapy was planned if a gross lesion indicating recurrence followed 6 months later. This case required a considerable multi-disciplinary approach for diagnosis and treatment because of its ambiguous clinical and radiological findings.
내재적 리스크 감지 모델을 사용한 사용자 인증 편의성 향상 프레임워크

사용자의 인증 프로세스에 대한 인식을 필요로 하는 기존의 명시적 인증은 그 과정에서 사용자에게 많은 부담이 되며 이는 사용자가 인증을 기피하는 원인이 되고 있다. 본 연구를 통해, 우리는 바이오 인식 및 위치 기반 인증 방법과 같은 내재적 인증 방법을 사용하여 사용자 인증의 편의성을 달성하는 방안을 제안한다. 이를 위해 명시적 인증으로 달성할 수 있는 4단계 보증 레벨을 정의하고, 내재적 인증 방법과 명시적 인증 방법과 같이 사용하여 보다 적은 인증 비용으로 동일 단계의 신뢰 보증 레벨에 도달할 수 있음을 보인다. 제안 방법의 유효성을 보이기 위해, 스크린 키보드 기반 인증, 얼굴인식 기반 인증, 위치 기반 인증을 내재적 인증 기법으로 도입하며 이를 안드로이드 응용으로 구현하였다. 실험 분석 결과, 제안 방법은 패스워드 인증 대비 21.7%, 6자리 PIN 인증 대비 14.9%의 비용 절감 효과를 달성하였다. Traditional explicit authentication, which requires awareness of the user"s authentication process, is a burden on the user, which is one of main reasons why users tend not to employ authentication. In this paper, we try to reduce such cost by employing implicit authentication methods, such as biometrics and location based authentication methods. We define the 4-level security assurance model, where each level is mapped to an explicit authentication method. We implement our model as an Android application, where the implicit authentication methods are touch-stroke dynamics-based, face recognition based, and the location based authentication. From user experiment, we could show that the authentication cost is reduced by 14.9% compared to password authentication-only case and by 21.7% compared to the case where 6-digit PIN authentication is solely used.

Background and Objectives: Recurrence rates after radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) in atrial fibrillation (AF) patients are not low especially in non-paroxysmal AF. The diameter of left atrium (LA) has been widely used to predict the recurrence after RFCA for decades. However, LA diameter represents structural remodeling of LA and does not reflect electrical remodeling. We aimed to determine the predictive value of electrical remodeling of LA which is represented by the amount of low voltage zone (LVZ). Methods: We performed a retrospective cohort analysis of AF patients who underwent de novo RFCA in a single-center. Results: A total of 3,120 AF patients with de novo RFCA were analyzed. Among these patients, 537 patients underwent an electroanatomic mapping with bipolar voltage measurement of LA. The diameter of LA and flow velocity of LA appendage (LAA) differed significantly according to quartile group of LVZ area and percentage: patients with high LVZ had large LA diameter and low LAA flow velocity (p<0.001). Freedom from late recurrence (LR) was significantly lower in patients with high LVZ area and percentage (p<0.001). The diameter and surface area of LA had area under curve (AUC) of 0.592 and 0.593, respectively (p=0.002 for both). The predictive value of LVZ area (AUC, 0.676) and percentage (AUC, 0.671) were both superior compared with LA diameter (p=0.011 and 0.027 for each comparison). Conclusions: In conclusion, LVZ can predict freedom from LR after RFCA in AF patients. Predictive value was higher in parameters reflecting electrical rather than structural remodeling of LA.
추력 650 kgf 급 하이브리드 로켓 모터의 연소시험

본 연구에서는 추력 650 kgf 급의 PE/N2O 하이브리드 로켓 모터의 지상 연소시험을 수행하였다. 초기 실험에서 산화제 유량이 작게 유입됨으로 인해 연소실 압력 및 추력이 설계치 만큼 확보되지 못함을 확인 하였다. 이를 보완하기 위해 노즐목 감소 및 산화제 유량을 증대하여 실험을 수행하였고, 실험에서 발생하는 연소현상을 분석하였다. 또한 sub-scale과 lab-scale의 실험결과를 통해 scale에 따른 연소특성 변화를 비교? 분석 하였고, 동일 산화제 유속에서 sub-scale의 후퇴율이 lab-scale의 후퇴율보다 차이는 작지만 낮게 나타남을 확인했다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 실제 하이브리드 사운딩 로켓 개발을 위해 고려되어야 할 사항을 파악할 수 있었다. In this study, we presented the results of static firing tests on the PE/LN2O hybrid rocket motor, which has a thrust of 650 kgf level. Through the early tests, we found that the combustion chamber pressure and the thrust were lower than design values because an actual oxidizer flow rate was less than that expected. In order to complement this result, the methods of decrease of nozzle throat and the increase of oxidizer mass flow rate were conducted in the next experiment, and we studied the combustion phenomena with the experimental results. Also we compared and analyzed a difference of combustion characteristics on scale effect. It show that a sub-scale motor regression rate was a little less than that of a lab-scale motor with the same oxidizer mass flux. Results of this study might be used as a basic data for development of hybrid sounding rocket.
