Spousal Concordance and Cross-Disorder Concordance of Mental Disorders: A Nationwide Cohort Study
Hsieh Ming-Hong,Ju Po-Chung,Chiou Jeng-Yuan,Wang Yu-Hsun,Wang Jong-Yi,Chang Cheng-Chen 대한신경정신의학회 2022 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.19 No.10
Objective Although both partners of a married couple can have mental disorders, the concordant and cross-concordant categories of disorders in couples remain unclear. Using national psychiatric population-based data only from patients with mental disorders, we examined married couples with mental disorders to examine spousal concordance and cross-disorder concordance across the full spectrum of mental disorders. Methods Data from the 1997 to 2012 Taiwan Psychiatric Inpatient Medical Claims data set were used and a total of 662 married couples were obtained. Concordance of mental disorders was determined if both spouses were diagnosed with mental disorder of an identical category in the International Classification of Diseases, Ninth Revision, Clinical Modification; otherwise, cross-concordance was reported. Results According to Cohen’s kappa coefficient, the most concordant mental disorder in couples was substance use disorder, followed by bipolar disorder. Depressive and anxiety disorders were the most common cross-concordant mental disorders, followed by bipolar disorder. The prevalence of the spousal concordance of mental disorders differed by monthly income and the couple’s age disparity. Conclusion Evidence of spousal concordance and cross-concordance for mental disorders may highlight the necessity of understanding the social context of marriage in the etiology of mental illness. Identifying the risk factors from a common environment attributable to mental disorders may enhance public health strategies to prevent and improve chronic mental illness of married couples.
Design and Development of Multi-treatment Flow for Salty Water of the Pickled Cabbage

In the process of producing pickled food, it results in high concentration of salty water. If discharged the salty water without treatments, it would cause environmental problems. A base in Dapi Township, Yunlin County, Taiwan, processing pickled cabbage, yields high concentration of salty water of 1044.48 ㎥ to 1443.84㎥ each year. There is a project of salty water treatment, expand current processing system consist of circulating pool, and crystallizing pool. For the purpose of the expanded system easy operated and steady treating, this study is focus on the control method of treatment flow of salty water. Based on the experiment data, when the relative humidity is 55%RH and the environmental temperature is 45°C, the level of salty water drops 0.5 cm every 12 hours. Additionally, there is a linear formula fitting the result to calculate daily evaporation. In conclusion, using the same setting of environment, this system is expected to treat salty water by 1 cm daily level decline per unit area, and it would be an alternative solution for the salty water in Taiwan.

In this study, the Accumulative Roll Bonding (ARB) process was used with a snap-stack procedure to reduplicate an Al (1100)/Mg (AZ31) alloy. Samples underwent four rolling and stacking cycles four times, which produced a 24-layer structure. The ARB process creates a multilayer compound between Al/Mg layers with excellent bonding characteristics. The excellent bonding characteristics were due to atomic diffusion. Diffusion couples between Al and Mg were investigated to study the composition of the formation in the Al-Mg system. Layers of intermetallic compound (IMC) Al3Mg2 and Al12Mg17 were observed. The composition-depth curves of the diffusion zone were determined by electron microprobe analyses of the IMCs.

The lifetimes of organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) have been successfully enhanced with the modulation of LiF thickness and the utilization of encapsulating adhesives, which have been successfully and quickly synthesized with UV irradiation. Experimental results demonstrate that LiF and lab-made encapsulating adhesives can block the invasion of moisture as well as oxygen in the atmosphere into the OLEDs so that the lifetimes of devices with their encapsulation are 18-folds longer than those without encapsulation. The study of Harvest System for Organic Perishable Vegetable in Plugs
( Jia-ming Yang ),( Xie-zhi Li ),( Kuang-wen Hsieh ) 한국농업기계학회 2018 한국농업기계학회 학술발표논문집 Vol.23 No.1
Vegetable is the indispensable food for the daily life of mankind. Due to the demand for increasing the quality of vegetable in Taiwan, the protected culture must be developed for cultivation of vegetable. There are two common approaches of cultivation, including seeding and plug transplant, and both approaches require much labor. By applying the Organic Perishable Vegetable in Plugs planted, the labor problem in the past for plug seeding, sprout cultivation, transplantation and harvesting could be improved. Besides, the yield and quality could be increased. However, the short of labor is still a major problem for harvesting. This study would develop a set of harvesting machinery that is applicable for Organic Perishable Vegetable in Plugs. This could reduce the time and labor for harvesting in fields, and reach the objectives of saving of labor and increasing the productivity.
