        1. The tree grown in the university forest consisted of 54 families, 69 genera, 167 species, 15 varieties, 2 forma, so that the totaling were 185 taxa. 2. At a height of 500 meters over, the forest mostly consisted of Quercus variabilis forest. 3. We need to collect cork from Quercus variabilis growned massively and have enlarged artificial reproduction than now. 4. Cryptomeria japonica forest area that artificially reproducted at 11 block is a model managed forest. 5. According to the results, because the species defined the temperate zone, it is not suitable for the practice of students. Therefore, we need the positive act of university so that the forest species obtain the other forest zone.

      • 「부인필지」에 수록된 주식류와 침채류 조리법에 관한 문헌적 고찰

        "Puinpilji" was written in 1915. We compared the cooking methods of the kinds of staple food and Chimche in "Puinpilji" with those in other cooking books. Patbap, without adding boiled redbean itself, was cooked with the boiled redbean water. The sweetness and color of Yakbap came from honey and the boiled jujube water. Tarakjuk was cooked with the same amount of milk and water. When rice was half cooked, milk was added. Patjuk was made by boiling together with a large amount of jujube and redbean. On kneading Saeal, ginger-juice was added. Tongchimi-kukmul and Jidan was used in Myongwolkwan-Naengmyon. The characteristics of Ouyuk-kimchi was that the boiled water with meat and dried fish was added to Kimchi. And also, Myongwol-Saengchiche made by adding meat of pheasant to Tongchimi-kukmul and Chonbok-chimche made by adding various materials to Junbok soaked in water were introduced in the text.

        흰쥐에 있어서 Styrene에 의한 간장의 Microsomal Cytochrome P450의 유도

        The effects of styrene on the induction of cytochrome P-450s (P450), (P4501A1/2, P4502B1/2 and P4502E1) and activities of other related enzymes were investigated in the male Sprague Dawley rats which were treated with styrene 500(S1), 1.000(S2), 1,500(S3) mg/kg in olive oil intraperitoneally once a day for two days and sacrificed for the preparation of liver microsomes after 24 hrs. 1. The contents of total protein and P450 in the microsomes derived from the styrene treated groups were slightly higher than those from the control group except those from the S3 group (1,500 mg styrene/kg body weight). The decreases in microsomal protein contents was prominent in the S3 (p<0.05), but the P450 contents was increased significantly in the S2(P<0.05). 2. The activities of NADPH-450 and NADH b5 reductase in hepatic microsomes derived from the treated groups were significantly increased in the treated groups (p<0.05). 3. The activities of PROD were also prominently increased with the treatment of styrene except in S3 group, but the activity of EROD was decreased by styrene treatment. The activities of pNPH in the styrene treated groups were higher than that of the control group(p<0.05). 4. Western blotting with monoclonal antibodies against P4502B1/2 isozymes showed the presence of P4502B1/2 in hepatic microsomes from the rats treated with styrene, and the increase in the densities of immunoblots were corelated with the dosages of styrene. The blot densities against P4501A1/2 and P4502E1 were slightly increased in the styrene treated groups compared with the control group. These results suggested that styrene could primarily induce P4502B1/2 as major and P4501A1/2 and P4502E1 in minor forms for the metabolism of styrene in rats.

      • TCP/IP를 이용한 원격진료시스템의 설계에 관한 연구

        In general cases, the conventional internet connected to a terrestrial network is transmit too large medical images. To overcome this low speed transmitting rate problem of the internet, we have studied about an image division communication system as a fast telemedicine system. The image division communication system was 5-10 times faster than the conventional terrestrial internet link. Also we have developed a Web-based telemedicine system that can access every permitted server of hospitals via the internet. Visual Basic and C++, ASP programming techniques were used to make our system and it can access and retrieve medical information and image through only public web browse such as internet explorer without additional specific tools. To increase the transmitting speed of our telemedicine system, JPEG method was used. In conclusion, we were able to develop a fast and public telemedicine system using the proposed image division communication system and Web technology. image division communication system technology increased the speed of the conventional internet and Web technology extended the scope of use for telemedicine system from intrahospital to public use.

        측정방법에 따른 치과용 수경성 시멘트의 경화시간

        Information on setting behavior of luting cements is essential to accomplish successful cementation of dental restoration. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of test variables on the setting time of dental water-based luting cements. Six kinds of luting cements were investigated: two zinc phosphate, two zinc polycarboxylate and two glass ionomer cements. Cements were mixed with the standard consistency for luting according to their respective manufacturer's recommendation. Setting time of cements was measured with two test apparatus (penetrating indentor and oscillating rheometer) under one of following environmental conditions (temperature/humidity); 37℃/90%, 23℃/50% and 37℃/20%. The Setting time was recorded as the time elapsed from start of mixing to the time indicated at the ISO specification (9917:1991) or when the oscillation is reduced to 95% of the original width. Setting time of luting cements was decreased with increase in temperature and decrease in humidity, and it was significantly influenced by environmental temperature and humidity. Some cements tested showed significant differences in setting time measured between indentor and rheometer under laboratory environment. Percent water loss of cements was different under various environmental conditions. This was largely arisen at the early stage of setting. Zinc Phosphate was hygroscopic under high humidity. these results indicate that working and setting time should be separately evaluated in office and oral environments, respectively. Oscillating rheometer was useful to investigate setting behavior of dental water-based luting cement. However, control of test environment and sensitivity should be considered in the rheometry.

        고 조리서에 수록된 만두의 종류와 조리법에 관한 고찰 : 1600년대부터 1950년대까지 발간된 고 조리서를 중심으로 Focused on the Old Cooking Books issued in 1600 to 1950

        Motivated by a need to provide the basic data of standard recipes for Korean traditional food, Mandoo, this paper explores a historic research about the development of Mandoo classified by Mandoo-crust, Mandoo-filling, spice & condiment, garnish, size & shape and unit for measuring ingredients. The data for this study are obtained from the major old cooking books published in the period 1670-1957, such as 「Eumsikdimibang」, 「Leejogoongjoungyoritonggo」, and so on. The results of this study show that (1) starch, buckwheat flour and flour were used as Mandoo-crust and egg was added in order to improve cohesion, (2) cooked pheasant and beef were used as Mandoo-filling, (3) ginger had been used more generally than garlic as spice & condiment and later red pepper powder was added and pine nut was also widly used, (4) pan-fried meat, egg, and mushroom were used as garnish, (5) Mandoo of different kinds existed and had various sizes and shapes, (6) unit for measuring ingredients began to appear on printing in 1939. These findings provide us with opportunity, which leads to making the standard recipes for Mandoo so that anyone can easily have resources for cooking the traditional food, Mandoo.

      • 급성 구강감염부위에서 Staphylococcus lugunensis 의 특성

        Staphylococcus lugdunensis (S. lugdunensis) is a newly identified pathogenic species of coagulase negative staphylococci and an occasional but not rare cause of severe infections, such as infective endocarditis after dental extraction, bacteremia, osteomyelitis, peritonitis, and soft tissue infections. As antibiotic use increased, resistance rapidly developed. Some strains have plasmids related to antibiotic resistance. To characterize S. lugdunensis in acute oral infection, S. lugdunensis was isolated from the patients with acute oral abscess, osteomyelitis, and normal persons. Antibiotic resistance, in vitro cellular toxicity, in vivo virulence, δ-like hemolysin activity, and synergistic hemolysis on sheep blood agar plates were investigated. The dot blot analysis and Southern blot analysis of staphylococcal DNA was performed with δ-hemolysin gene probe of Staphylococcus aureus. (S. aureus) Staphylococcal DNA was cloned, nucleotide sequence was analysed, and homology was compared with other sequence in Gene Bank. S. aureus, S. lugdunensis, Staphylococcus cohnii (S. cohnii), and other coagulase negative staphylococci (CNS) were isolated from the patients with acute oral infection. The isolation ratio of S. lugdunensis in the patients with infection was higher than that of healthy persons, but the isolation ratio of S. aureus in the patients with infection was similar to that of healthy persons. S. lugdunensis from the patients with acute oral infection showed the resistance to penicillin, methicillin, cephalothin, and clindamycin. S. lugdunensis in the patients had cellular toxicity in vitro and virulence in vivo. All strains of S. lugdunensis had δ-like hemolysin activity against rabbit erythrocytes. Four of the six strains of S. lugdunensis gave synergistic hemolysis with S. aureus on sheep blood agar plates. In dot blot analysis, all strains of S. lugdunensis showed the positive reaction with the probe of δ-hemolysin gene in S. aureus, but a 7.3 kb HindⅢ fragment was observed in the DNA of S. lugdunensis that gave synergistic hemolysis in a Southern blot analysis. The molecular size of partially purified δ-hemolysin was about 50 kd. The cloned fragments from the chromosomal DNA of S. lugdunensis showed the partial homology with the insulin receptor-related and dopamine receptor of humans. These results suggest that S. lugdunensis might be an important pathogen in acute oral infection and show some homology with eukaryotes.

      • 중질유 탈황공정 폐촉매로부터 유가금속의 회수에 관한 연구

        In order to selectively recover by the extractive separation the value metals including V, Mo, Ni, Co, and Al from the spent catalysts removed from the resid desulfurization processes, we investigated the following: how to efficiently remove the nonmetallic impurities from the spent catalyst by roasting how to optimize the pore structure of roasted spent catalyst, how to select the suitable leachants and extractants, how to optimize the conditions of leaching/extraction, and how to determine the effective sequence of selectively recovering the value metals. With regard to roasting of spent catalyst, 550℃ was found to be the optimal roasting temperature in terms of sulfur removal and solubility of roasted catalyst in the sulfuric acid leaching solution as the specific surface area, porosity, and residual sulfur content were measured for the spent catalysts roasted at various temperatures in the tubular furnace. For the spent catalysts roasted at temperatures above 650℃, the efficiency of selectively recovering the value metals was diminished due to the decreased surface area and porosity, thereby the lowered solubility of roasted catalyst in the sulfuric acid leaching solution. In the case of roasting at 550℃, the ratio of (oxygen flow rate)/(volume of spent catalyst sample) equal to 30min?? was optimal for the efficient removal of sulfur from the spent catalyst. With regard to the selective recovery of value metals by leaching/extraction operations, two spent catalysts of different metal compositions as well as two model oxide mixtures simulating the metal compositions of those catalysts were experimented to determine the suited leachants/extractants and search for the effective sequences of selective recovery. The sequential recovery operation consisting of the solid-liquid separation via leaching and the liquid-liquid separation via extraction made it possible to selectively recover the value metals from both the model oxide mixtures and the spent catalysts. The differences in particle structure and component distribution between the model oxide mixture and the spent catalyst accounted for the differences in leaching, leaching conditions, and recovery sequences between the two. The sequences of selectively recovering the value metals which are relatively simple and of good potential to be applied in commercial scale were developed for the spent catalyst of two different metal compositions

      • 고위험군의 원발성 전신성 유전분증 1례 보고 및 조혈모세포이식에 대한 문헌고찰

        저자 등은 클론성 형질세포질환과 동반된 젊은 연령의 원발성 전신성 유전분증 환자를 진단하였기에 다발성 골수종과의 감별 진단, 치료 , 예후 및 고용량 항암화학요법과 조혈모세포이식에 관하여 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Primary systemic amyloidosis (AL) is a rapidly fatal disorder related to plasma cell dyscrasia. Conventional dose of melphalan, which prolongs the duration of survival by about 10 months, does not improve the functions of impaired organs in most cases. The high dose chemotherapy followed by autologous hematopoietic stem cell rescue for AL, in spite of its high treatment-related mortality, is a new approach to achieve high response rate and better survival. We experienced a 35-year old man with AL(involving heart, liver, stomach, kidneys, peripheral nerve, and rectum) who did not respond to the standard schedule of melphalan plus prednisone and had rapidly fatal course with organ failure. Hence, we evaluate its availability by reviewing the recent reports of high dose chemotherapy in AL.
