For the polynomial $P(z)$ of degree $n$ and having all its zeros in $|z| \leq k$, $k \geq 1$, Jain \cite{j} proved that \begin{align*} \max_{|z|=1} |P^{\prime}(z)|\geq n \frac{|c_0| + |c_n|k^{n+1}}{|c_0|(1+k^{n+1}) + |c_n| ( k^{n+1} + k^{2n})} \max_{|z|=1}|P(z)| . \end{align*} In this paper, we extend above inequality to its integral analogous and there by obtain more results which extended the already proved results to integral analogous.

The steroidogenic acute regulatory protein (StAR) plays a key role in transferring cholesterol across the inner mitochondrial membrane. In this study, the StAR gene was isolated from the gonads of Clarias batrachus. The gene has an open reading frame of 857 bp and encodes 285 amino acids with a predicted molecular weight of 32 kDa. The signalP analysis predicted that StAR would be a non-secreted protein that lacks a signal peptide. The subcellular localization demonstrated that the presence of the StAR protein was higher in mitochondria (41.8%), followed by the nuclear region (37.1%) and cytoplasm (11.1%). The StAR protein was found to interact highly with cyp11a1, followed by the cytochrome P450 family 11 proteins and the START5 domain. The homology modelling revealed that the protein has 4 helices and twisted U-shaped 10 beta sheets numbered from αA to αD and β1 to β10, respectively. Molecular modelling analysis showed that resveratrol and eurycomanone has high binding affinity with the StAR protein. The C. batrachus StAR transcript was found to be expressed exclusively in the gonads, kidney, and liver. These results overall lay a solid foundation for understanding the structure of StAR protein in fish. The identification of 3D structures and binding sites will help in designing a structure-based drug of StAR agonists for the treatment of impaired steroidogenesis.

In the present study, 4 gridded satellite precipitation data products for September 2014 flood, IMERG (Integrated Multi-satellitE Retrievals for GPM), GSMaP (Global Satellite Mapping of Precipitation), TRMM-3B42 (Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission) and INSAT-3D-IMR (INSAT Multispectral Rain), were evaluated against the Indian Meteorological Department rain-gauge data from Sep-1st to Sep-7th 2014. Three evaluation indices; Correlation coefficient (CC), the Relative bias (RB) and the Nash- Sutcliffe coefficient (NSC), were used to evaluate the robustness of satellite precipitation estimates with actual rainfall measurements. IMERG precipitation product has a near perfect positive CC and NSC values of 0.94 and 0.99 respectively; while the CC and NSC values are 0.7 and 0.5 for GSMaP_Gauge; 0.69 and 0.05 for INSAT-3D-IMR; and 0.9 and 0.8 for TRMM-3B42 respectively. The RB estimates indicate that IMERG, with a bias of 2%, is a best-fit dataset when compared to the surface raingauge observations. In contrast, TRMM-3B42, GSMaP and INSAT-3D-IMR have underestimation biases of −31%, −58%, and − 86%respectively. Analysis of the indices indicates that IMERG precipitation product performed better than other three satellite precipitation products owing to the closeness of values with surface gauge station data over Kashmir. Owing to scanty observation of rainfall in the region, IMERG has a potential to become a cost effective input data source for designing a flood early warning system (FEWS) for Kashmir. However, it is suggested to evaluate the robustness of different satellite-derived precipitation estimates compared to rain gauge observations by incorporating more extreme events from different mountain regions globally for establishing the best satellite derived precipitation product.

Antifungal and biopreservation potentials ofLactobacillus plantarum YML007 isolated from Koreankimchi were analyzed. The biopreservative efficacy of thebacterium was analyzed using maize grains. Maize wasdivided into 3 groups and treated with a 5× concentratedcell-free supernatant of Lb. plantarum YML007 (T3R3),organic acids (T2R2), and a control group (T1R1) lackingtreatment. All groups were stored for 30 days. Maize wastested for moisture and crude fat contents, mold growth, and aflatoxin production. The moisture content, moldcount, and toxin production were higher in the controlmaize. The YML007 and acid treated maize remaineduninfected after 30 days. Animals fed with YML007treated maize showed more weight gain and less feedconsumption. YML007 can be used to preserve thenutritional value of stored grain and to ensure better qualityfeedstuffs that are necessary for improving animal healthand performance.
Spatial variations in COVID-19 risk perception and coping mechanism in Pakistan
Irfan Ahmad Rana,Saad Saleem Bhatti,Junaid Ahmad,Atif Bilal Aslam,Ali Jamshed 대한공간정보학회 2023 Spatial Information Research Vol.31 No.3
The outbreak of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization, which instigated governments to impose lockdowns across their countries. Amidst the lockdown in Pakistan, this study comprised measures of the COVID-19 risk perception, coping mechanism, and spatial variations. The data from 40 selected indicators was collected using an online questionnaire and grouped into domains (4 risk perception and 3 coping mechanisms domains). The results revealed the spatial variations and the levels of risk perception and coping mechanisms within the study area. Relative to each other, overall risk perception was highest in Northern Areas (Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir) and Islamabad, and lowest in Balochistan province. Very little spatial variation was observed in terms of coping mechanisms. Age, gender, and marital status influenced the risk perception associated with COVID-19. The findings suggest spatial variation in risk perception, implying the need for localized and modified COVID-19 risk communication and risk reduction strategies.
Synthesis and characterization of polymer–nanoclay conductive nanocomposites
Ahmad, Irfan,Hussain, Manwar,Seo, Keum-Suk,Choa, Yong-Ho Wiley Subscription Services, Inc., A Wiley Company 2010 Journal of applied polymer science Vol.116 No.1
<P>Polymer–clay nanocomposites based on poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT) : PSS and nanoclay montmorillonite were synthesized and characterized. The doping of PEDOT with polystyrene sulfonate made it water dispersible (PEDOT–PSS). Sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) and ionic liquid were used to increase the interlayer spacing and the conductivity of the nanocomposites, respectively. The nanocomposite was characterized by various techniques, such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), TEM, surface resistivity, and thermogravimetric measurement analysis. Interlayer spacing increased as a result of the addition of SDBS, and this was confirmed by the 2&thetas; shift observed via XRD analysis. The surface morphology of the conductive coated clay was examined by TEM analysis. Good electrical surface conductivity, interlayer spacing, and polymer coating were observed for the material prepared using the surfactant and conductive ionic liquid. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. One-stage Hip Reconstruction for Developmental Hip Dysplasia in Children over 8 Years of Age
Irfan Qadir,Saeed Ahmad,Atiq uz Zaman,Chirag Muhammad Khan,Shahzad Ahmad,Amer Aziz 대한고관절학회 2018 Hip and Pelvis Vol.30 No.4
Purpose: This study was performed to assess the clinical and radiological outcomes following one-stage hip reconstruction, consisting of open reduction femoral shortening and pelvic osteotomy, for neglected developmental dislocation of the hip (DDH). Materials and Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of 77 hips in 65 patients (46 females and 19 males; 12 had bilateral dislocations), operated at a Ghurki Trust Teaching Hospital in Pakistan between 2013 and 2015. The average age at surgery was 11.02±3.43 years. According to the Tönnis classification, there were 10, 14, 22, and 31 patients in grades 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. The pelvic procedure utilized in this study was triple osteotomy (47 hips) followed by double and Salter osteotomy (18 and 12 hips, respectively). Postoperative evaluations were conducted using the modified MacKay’s scoring system (functional outcomes) and Severin’s scoring method (radiological assessment). Results: Postoperatively, there were 38 (49.4%), 19 (24.7%), 14 (18.2%), and 6 (7.8%) hips in Severin grade I, II, III and IV, respectively. According to the modified McKay criteria, there were 22 hips (28.6%) in excellent condition, 44 (57.1%) in good condition, 9 (11.7%) in fair condition and 2 (2.6%) in poor condition. Both patients with poor outcomes had an unstable, painful hip with evidence of avascular necrosis of the femoral head. Conclusion: Based on the results presented here, we recommend the single stage procedure of open reduction, femoral shortening and pelvic osteotomy for treatment of DDH in older children with good to excellent functional and radiological outcomes.
