허수경 시의 색채 이미지 연구

허수경의 시에서 검은색과 흰색은 반복과 회귀의 방식으로 독특한 색채적 상징성을 드러낸다. 이러한 양상은 정서와 주제 의식을 심화하고 확대해내면서, 그만의 시적 미학성의 변별점을 형성해낸다. 또한, 그의 시에서 검은색과 흰색의 색채 이미지는 한 작품 속에서 혼재와 교착 양상을 이루면서 아상블라주(Assemblage)한 효과를 보여준다. 이는 이질적인 요소들의 조합이 만들어낸 새로운 가능성으로서, 두 색채가 각기 다른 작품들에서 대립적인 단일한 의미망을 형성하는 통념에서 진일보한 사유 양상이다. 허수경의 시에서 두 색채 이미지가 한 작품에서 혼재되고 교착되어 나타나는 경우, 주제 의식의 의미상 크게 대립성과 동질성의 두 가지 양상을 보인다. 이는 우선, 두 색채가 대립적인 색채 이미지로 나타나, 강자와 약자의 권력 구조를 도식화하는 상징성을 띤다. 하지만, 두 색채는 선악이나 강약의 대립적 의미가 고정되어 있지 않고 상호 전위되어 나타나, 시인의 열린 사고를 드러낸다. 반면, 두 색채 이미지가 동질적인 색채 이미지를 드러내는 경우에는 부정적인 동질성과 긍정적인 동질성의 두 가지 양상을 보인다. 즉, 검은색과 흰색이 모두 슬픔과 우울의 정서를 극대화하면서 부정적인 동질성을 드러내거나, 순수와 평화의 세계를 지향하고 희구하면서 긍정적인 동질성을 드러내 보인다. 이러한 양상은 흰색과 검은색을 정반대되는 색으로 여기는 통념에서 벗어난 것으로, 허수경만의 독특한 색채 의식을 드러내 보이는 지점이다. 이렇게 보면, 허수경의 시에서 검은색과 흰색의 색채 이미지는 단독으로 쓰인 경우보다, 한 작품에서 혼재되고 교착되어 나타날 때, 더 깊고 풍부한 의미망을 형성한다. 이는 색채 이미지의 상징성에 대한 시인의 창의적 상상력이 확대된 결과이며, 입체적이고 유동적인 색채 미학을 표출한 것으로, 검은색과 흰색의 교호 작용을 통해 색채적 상징성의 새로운 가능성을 확보한 것으로 해석할 수 있다. Black and white in Heo Soo-kyeong's poetry reveal unique color symbolism in a way of repetition and reversion. This aspect deepens and expands the emotion and the subject consciousness, which forms her own distinct poetic aesthetics. Furthermore, the black and white color images in her poems display an Assemblage effect, forming mixed and entangled aspects in one work. This is a new possibility created by a combination of disparate elements, a further level of thinking from the conventional wisdom that the two colors indicate an opposing single network of meanings in different works. In the case where the two color images are mixed and entangled in a single work, in Heo Soo-kyeong's poem, there appears two aspects of confrontation and coessentiality in the meaning of the subject consciousness. First of all, the two colors appear as opposing color images, which assumes the symbolism that schematizes the power structure of the strong and the weak. However, the meaning of these two colors can be interchangeable, not being fixed as an opposite between good and evil or strong and weak and, thereby presenting the poet's flexible way of thinking. On the other hand, in the case where the two color reveal coessential color images, they assume two aspects, negative coessentiality and positive coessentiality. In other words, both black and white reveal negative coessentiality by maximizing the emotion of sadness and depression, or positive coessentiality by aspiring after a world of purity and peace. This pattern deviates from the conventional wisdom that regards white and black as opposite colors, which is a point that reveals Heo Soo-kyeong's distinct sense of color. In this light, the color images of black and white forms deeper and richer semantic network when they appear to be mixed and entangled in one work than when used solely. This is the result of the poet's expanded creative imagination for the symbolism of color images, and it can be interpreted as the expression of multidimensional and fluid color aesthetics and securing new possibilities for color symbolism through the interaction of black and white.

And the harmony between features is also considered important. Yakut has the strict constraint on the phonotactical relations. In Yakut a feature [constricted glottis] works more vigorously than [voiced]. This feature is combined with a feature [+back] or [+lab], making new constraints on the initial place: *#[+back, -CG], *# [+lab,+CG]. Finally, consonantal assimilation in obstruents of Yakut is dominated by 2 lows of constraints. The purpose of this paper was to examine the effects of nostalgia which make readers feel positive thinking by analyzing “Old Road to Kang-neaung.” As the nostalgic themes are emerging as a new trend, the nostalgic marketing can be applied to various areas. The paper analyzed meaning of this work, and presented the specifications and significance of Lee, Sun-won``s literature as nostalgic phenomenon. The emotional components composed of nostalgia in this work are as follows: warmth, wound, frustration, anger, resistance, and reconciliation. Although the narrator suffers from the memories of his youth even when he becomes an adult, he overcomes his wound in his younger years by transferring his memories to the nostalgia. From this point of view, this kind of nostalgic novel can have a positive effect on the mental growth of visitors who are in search of self-identity. Also this work leads visitors to experience on essential human life with a more comprehensive view by encouraging them to reflect upon their surroundings. The new form of tourism strategy is necessary to broaden people`s awareness. One of the means is utilizing literary tourism for increasing desire of tourism. The concept of space through literature is a very important key to re-invigorate nostalgia. Therefore, this paper is more meaningful in the sense that it uses ``literature`` for drawing effective nostalgia tourism. To develop Kang-neung area, the paper introduced the tour course linking the literary space of this work.

The Realization of Dream in J. M. Synge's Works: The Playboy of the Western World and The Shadow of the Glen

The purpose of this paper is to examine the process of the protagonists overcoming various sufferings and changing dream into reality. Synge considers nature and creatures as a background in harmony with his plays and a part of the same creation as man himself. For example, nature gives him surprising source of imaginary throughout The Playboy of the Western World. Synge was inspired by the Aran Islands for writing the plots of In The Shadow of the Glen and The Playboy of the Western World. Christy is depicted as attractive and passionate, while Shawn is shown to be boring The Playboy of the Western World. So She is soon in love with Christy. The conflicts between passion and reason, and between love and hate make this play a rich dramatic experience. The growth of Christy is symbolized by the release of sleeping poet within Christy, who first discovers his poetic powers in the telling of his murder. Christy changes from a helpless lad under the oppression of his father to the playboy of the western world in the reality. Nora takes pity on Dan and Michael who are tied to materialism. Michael's avaricious interest in tangible wealth aligns him with Dan. Because she longs for escaping from material stability into the free and brisk life. Nora recognizes that tramp enjoys an abundant life despite his unstable life of traveling around. The tramp is a poet who resists against the existing society in this play. Synge tries to find out the poetical world through his works. No one can escape from getting old and death. Synge endeavors to tell readers to overcome sufferings by adapting himself to enjoy the beauty of nature and accept death as a part of life.

Headed Reinforcement를 사용한 철근콘크리트 깊은 보의 전단거동

Generally, headed reinforcement offers several advantages over straight bar or hooked bar anchorages to develop reinforcement in concrete members. The purpose of this study is to investigate the shear behaviors of reinforced concrete deep beam with headed reinforcement. Five deep beam specimens are designed to study the anchorage capacity of headed reinforcement as well as the contribution of H-bar and V-bar to the shear. Two anchorage types, standard 90-degree anchorage and headed reinforcement, are considered in design. From the tests, it is shown that In the test results, headed reinforcement is able to replace standard 90-degree anchorage as the anchorage method. The evaluation on the contribution of H-bar and V-bar in current design code for deep beam shows that the former is overestimated 75% and the latter is overestimated 17%.

Consumer Recognition Survey for Establishing the Reasonable Expiration Dates of Health Functional Foods

This study investigated consumers` recognition on shelf life of health functional foods to set up their rational expiration date. For this study 107 male and female adults aged 20 to 59 years were randomly selected as major consumers of health functional foods. And their data were analyzed with SPSS 17.0. The questionnaire included questions asking a consumer`s recognition on the shelf life of health functional foods and how to treat health function food passing its shelf life. In this study, the consumers were found to pay attentions considerably to the shelf life. But most of them did not know an accurate meaning of the shelf life of health functional food and mistook it for expiry date. In addition, the consumers doubted safety of health functional foods passing the shelf life. Therefore, education for consumers about an accurate meaning of the shelf life was needed. The results of this study were considered to be helpful to set up a reasonable expiration date for health functional food.

사무직 근로자의 수면의 질 및 직무스트레스와 우울과의 관련성

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to understand the degree of depression, sleep quality, job stress and their association among office workers. Method: A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to 147 workers employed in 5 big enterprises, and 5 small and medium enterprises from October 21 to November 21, 2012. The questionnaires included socio-demographic and health-related characteristics, job-related characteristics, sleep quality, job stress (KOSS) and depression (CES-D). Result: Among all subjects, 23.1% was in the depression group (21 points and over in the CES-D score). Depressive level was positively correlated with job stress and quality of sleep. The adjusted odd ratio for the effects of sleep quality and job stress on depression significantly increased in the depression group compared to that of the normal group. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the following factors of influence had combined explanatory powers on depression: BMI, life satisfaction, quality of sleep, and job stress. Conclusion: The study revealed that complicated influences were exerted on the level of depression by variable factors, as well as socio-demographic characteristics, health-related characteristics, quality of sleep, and job stress. Specifically, the level of depression was influenced by the quality of sleep and job stress.

Moral Growth in The Scarlet Letter

The purpose of this paper is to examine the main characters' moral growth in The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. The background of this novel is the 17th century. The theme of this work is the psychological effect and result of prejudice, and the sense of pride. Hester, the worst sinner in the early Puritan society, committed adultery, and Dimmesdale is not only Hester's adulterer but also a hypocritical sinner. His flaw is his inability to publicly acknowledge that he committed adultery with Hester and is the father of Pearl. Dimmesdale hated himself for that sin, and he accomplished victory over his weakness after seven long years of struggle. After he delivered a magnificent sermon, he confessed on the scaffold to his sin. As the time passed, the severe condemnation of hers changed into praise because Hester had experienced and lived a true moral development for expiation of her sin. However, Chillingworth had burned all his energy away in revenge of Dimmesdale. He eventually destroyed himself and metamorphosed himself into a devil. After all, Dimmesdale and Hester experienced moral growth through sin and suffering, and they became the elected persons. On the other hand, Chillingworth became the deserted person by committing unpardonable sin which is a sense of pride.
