This study aimed to analyze the influence of the industrial growth and the effect on government tax potential of the South Sulawesi Province. The growth of the tax object affects government tax potential of South Sulawesi Province. Environmental resources affect government tax potential of the province. The study used multiple linear regressions on primary data. The population consisted of all officers and staff involved in regional work units. Revenue Service area in South Sulawesi Province counts 630 employees. The sampling method is purposive sampling random carried out based on specific objectives. The respondent qualifications are taken from the Technical Implementation Unit Office and the Department of Revenue. The number of respondents is 96 from the Head of UPTD and three of them are related with tax Section Chief Officer. The results showed that industrial growth has a significant and positive effect on the potential increase in tax of South Sulawesi. Growth in tax object significantly affects the potential increasing tax of South Sulawesi. Environmental resources significantly affect the potential Increase in tax. Practical recommendations for local government is to enhance tax potential, reduce bureaucracy in industrial licensing, and facilitate local farmers to get involved in economic contributions.

Mycobacterium massiliense is an emerging pathogen and very similar to Mycobacterium abscessus of rapidly growing mycobacteria in the phenotype and genotype. Pathogenic bacteria secrete a diversity of factors into extracellular medium which contribute to the bacterial pathogenicity. In the present study, we performed the comparative proteome analysis of culture filtrate proteins from a clinical isolate of M. massiliense and M. abscessus strains using two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS). Interestingly, 9 proteins of M. massiliense were distinctly expressed from those of M. abscessus. Bioinformatic analysis of the identified proteins revealed that 3 unique proteins corresponded to serine/arginine rich protein, membrane protein from Streptomyces coelicolor, and one hypothetical protein from Corynebacterium efficiens YS-314, respectively. Culture filtrate proteins from M. massiliense induced the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines from macrophages in a dose-dependent manner but not that from M. abscessus. Taken together, the functional study on the identified proteins uniquely produced from M. massiliense may provide not only the clues for the different pathogensis, but also help develop the diagnostic tools for the differentiation between two mycobacterial species.

Purpose: To determine the clinical course of recurrent exotropia after a secondary operation for exotropia. Methods: The surgical results in 58 patients who had undergone reoperation for recurrent exotropia (reoperation group) were retrospectively investigated and compared with those of 100 patients who had undergone primary strabismus surgery only (primary operation group) using survival analysis. Results: In the reoperation group, recurrence occurred in 19 of the 58 patients (33%). Survival analysis revealed that the recurrence rates in the reoperation group were significantly lower than those in the primary operation group at the same follow-up period after the corresponding strabismus surgery (p=0.018). The distant esodeviation at the postoperative 1st week after reoperation was the only significant factor associated with the recurrence after reoperation (p=0.01). Conclusions: Exotropia did recur after a secondary operation, although the recurrence rate was lower than that after a primary operation only.
