Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine the relationships among social support (network, composition, and satisfaction), stress, and loneliness in migrant Yanbian Korean workers. Method: Data were collected by using Social Support Questionnaire 6, Visual Analogue Scale, and the Revised UCLA Loneliness Scale. Result: Results indicate that means for social support were 1.52 for network size and 4.83 for satisfaction. The proportion percentage of network for kin members was 67.37. Subjects felt the moderate level of stress and loneliness. The level of loneliness was negatively related to the level of social support. Conclusion: This study showed that there is necessity to reduce stress and loneliness among migrant Yanbian Korean workers. Adequate social support satisfaction is crucial t o reduce the level of loneliness in migrant Yanbian Korean workers.

The purpose of the study was to investigate social support, depression, drinking and smoking in college and working females. The convenience sample consisted of 169 college females and 133 working females. Data were collected from March to May 2000. Social support was measured by the 6-item Social Support Questionnaire which assesses the size of the emotional social support network and satisfaction with social support. The Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression scale was utilized to measure the level of depression symptoms. The average number of drinks and cigarettes smoked per week during the previous month was assessed. Results indicated that college students had more social support than working females. However there were no significant differences in satisfaction with their support. depression. drinking and smoking between two groups. College females who smoked cigarettes were more depressed and had less social support than those who did not smoke. Also college females who drank alcohol were more depressed than those who did not drink during the previous month. However, the level of social support and depression were not associated with drinking and smoking among working females. Based on the results, it is suggested the application of various interventions to deal with drinking and smoking behavior among college and working females.

고강도 콘크리트 레미콘 제조 및 실용화 개발

최근에 이르러 건축구조물의 고층화, 다양화, 공사현장의 품질관리의 증진 그리고 혼화제의 개발에 따라 콘크리트의 고강도화가 실효성을 가져오기에 이르렀다. 본 연구는 현재 레미콘공장에서 사용하고 있는 여러가지 재료를 이용하고 배합설계를 통하여 고강도콘크리트 실용화에 따른 다양한 문제를 해결하려는데 목적을 두었다. 특히, 본 연구결과에서 슬럼프 10㎝, 고성능감수제(2.0%), 부순골재 약 20㎜, 그리고 W/(C+SF) 25%, 보통 포틀랜드 시멘트의 배합상태에서 700∼800㎏/㎤ 강도를 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구의 여러 가지 실험데이타는 앞으로 레미콘회사에서 고강도 콘크리트를 생산하는데 많은 참고와 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다. Recently, it is fairly easy to make high strength concrete according to high-rising of buildings, improvement of field supervion, and development of water reducing admixtuer (high range water reducer). The objective of this paper is to solve the various problems related to the practical use of high strength concrete by use of materials and mix proportion design as used in the remicon company. From the result of this experiment, it is found that the high strength concrete (more than 700∼800㎏/㎤) can be obtained by using slump(10㎝), high water reducer (2.0%), crushed stone (about 20㎜), and water-cement ratio(W/C+SF):25%) with common portland cement. The results of this paper are expected to be helpful in producing of high strength concrete at remicon company.

It has often been said that the biggest mass media are TV, Radio, Newspaper, Magazine. In America the fifth media next to the four kinds of media is Computer or the Technique Concerning to Computer. In the new media age rushing to us there has been great changes in the world of advertisement. As the words 'new media' literally means, it demand avoidance from the traditional ad style and initiation to the new lifestyle and approaches totally different from the old ones for all media, agent, and customers. The rapid progress to the worldwide new media times links with the development of splendid new media times(multimedia times in the narrow sense) through commercial on-line service. CD-Rom, PCtelecommunication, internet, etc. Multimedia functions not only as new media but also plays such roles as advertisement, sales promotion, salesman and money collection, and management and marketing communication. These days internet has been growing rapidly because of its advantage for telecommunication, entertainment, and media for education as well as of its strength for the means of electronic trade. Internet is being used widely in all economic fields, e.g. cooperation with suppliers, management of goods and stocks, reduction of purchase expenses, amangement of goods and stocks, reduction of purchase expanses, management of new customers. As for media, we could distinguish the existing media, such as media for prints, image, and movies from the new media without such traditional form, i. e. multimedia computer. CD-Rom, laser disk, up-to-date faximile, portable PCS, electronic publishing, etc. These new services pertain the technical features of Computerization in common, which have changed the existing one-way services into two-way modes. The advertisement through these new media Internet has been rising up rapidly as new ad-media because of its possibility of two-way communication and prompt purchase right after receiving the advertisement.

EG-모드 마이크로스트립 아이소레이터에 관한 연구

In X-band, a edge-guided(EG) mode microstrip isolator is designed in which nonreciprocal attenuation is due to the ferromagnetic resonance absorption caused by a strong d-e magnetic field applied locally at the shorted edge of a ferrite microstrip. From modal analysis. the dominant EG mode has been shown to propagate alone the microstrip with one edge shorted to the ground plane. Dispersion relations and rf electric field distributions have been calculated numerically. And the upper limit and the cutoff frequency of band width have been discussed with several design parameters. A practical EG-mode microstrip isolator based on these results has been successfully designed, which has more than 25dB isolation.

As a result of extensive research efforts on the oriental medicinal herbs, some of their interesting biological activities have been elucidated. In the present study, antifatigue effects of two natural food supplements consisting of oriental herbs, Vital and Vigilor, were investigated using the ICR mice. The mice were fed with antibiotic-free normal mouse feed containing Vital or Vigilor for 14,28, or 31 days and then subjected to forced swim tests. In a test carried out in melting-ice water, Vital and Vigilor significantly increased the exhaustion times of the 28 day-fed mice by 26.9 % (p < 0.01) and 16.2% (p < 0.05), respectively. However, in the other test performed at 15±0.5℃ using 31 day-fed mice, Vigilor failed to increase the exhaustion time significantly (at p< 0.05), while Vital showed antifatigue effect by increasing the swimming time by 29.9% (p<0.01). Neither of Vital nor Vigilor exerted antifatigue effects in a swim test carried out on day 14 after the initiation of feeding. These results suggest that Vital and Vigilor exhert antifatigue effets when administered for a sufficient period of time by enhancing the health of the host animals.
