        디지털 임플란트 시스템을 전용한 "All-on-4" 개념의 임플란트 보철 증례

        최근 치과치료의 영역에서 디지털 임플란트 시스템은 그 영역을 넓혀 나가고 있다. 디지털 장비들의 기술적 발전에 힘입어 한계점들이 하나 둘씩 극복되었다. 초기 단일치아 수복 정도에나 사용되었던 디지털 임플란트 시스템은 임플란트 수술에서부터 보철물 제작까지 무치악의 영역에서도 사용되고 있다. 본 증례에서는 50세의 하악 무치악 환자가 임플란트를 이용한 교합 재건을 원하였다. 하악의 임플란트 수복을 위해서 "All-on-4" 개념의 디지털 임플란트 시스템 사용을 계획하였고, 무절개 수술을 위한 가이드 장치를 제작하여 수술을 시행하였다. 수술 후, 전악 보철을 디지털 장비를 이용하여 제작하였다. 전체 치료 과정에서 기존의 아날로그 방식(인상채득, 납형 제작, 주조 등)을 가능한 배제하고 디지털 시스템을 이용하여 기공과정 및 임상과정을 최소화하기로 계획하였고 만족할만한 결과를 얻었기에 보고하는 바이다. Recently, digital implant systems are expanding its influence in dental area. Due to technical improvement, they jumped over their limits nowadays. We can use these newest systems to treat edentulous patient, from implant surgery to fabrication of prosthesis. In this case, The patient was a fifty years old female. She had a full edentulous ridge on mandible and wanted to reconstruct occlusion with using implants. We planned to use digital implant system with "all-on-4" concept on mandible and produced surgical guide for flapless implant surgery. After the surgery, we tried to fabricate full arch prosthesis just using a digital devices and confirmed satisfying result.

        Hydrogenated Amorphous Silicon (a-Si:H) is used as an emitter layer in HIT (heterojunction with Intrinsic Thin layer) solar cells. Its low band gap and low optical properties (low transmittance and high absorption) cause parasitic absorption on the front side of a solar cell that significantly reduces the solar cell blue response. To overcome this, research on CSC (carrier Selective Contacts) is being actively carried out to reduce carrier recombination and improve carrier transportation as a means to approach the theoretical efficiency of silicon solar cells. Among CSC materials, molybdenum oxide ($MoO_x$) is most commonly used for the hole transport layer (HTL) of a solar cell due to its high work function and wide band gap. This paper analyzes the electrical and optical properties of $MoO_x$ thin films for use in the HTL of HIT solar cells. The optical properties of $MoO_x$ show better performance than a-Si:H and ${\mu}c-SiO_x:H$.

        난포낭종에 이환된 한우에서 부신의 조직학적 변화

        To investigate the changes of adrenal gland associated with follicular cyst in Korean native cattle, adrenals ans ovaries were collected from 54 Korean native cattle at abbatoir. Adrenals were stained by H-E stain and they were examined under light microscope. Enlargement of adrenal cortex affecting fascicular and reticular zone appeared in cows associated with follicular cyst.

        자연발정견(發情犬) 및 인공발정유도견(人工發情誘導犬)에서 수정란이식(受精卵移植)

        To study the conditions to enhance success of embryo transfer in the dog, 20 mixed-breed bitches were used for the experiment along with 4 male dogs for mating. The bitches were paired according to synchronism of natural estrus, or the counterpart as donor or recipient was treated with gonadotropin as FSH (follicular stimulating hormone) or PMSG (pregnant mare serum gonadotropin) for induction of estrus to be synchronized with estrus of the other bitch in natural estrus. Embryo recovery was performed in two ways for comparison, either by flushing each uterine horn after ovariohysterectomy or by flushing each horn in the state of non-ovariohysterectomy. In addition, the result of pregnancy according to the embryo stage and the repeatability of the experimental animals as donor or recipient were also investigated. FSH or PMSG was administered to the bitches which had passed over 4 months from last estrus, resulting in estrus-positive in 3 dogs of 6 FSH-treated dogs (50.0%), and in 5 dogs of 9 PMSG-treated dogs (55.6%), determined by proestrus signs and vaginal smear test. Estrus-positive bitches induced with gonadotropin were used as donor or recipient resulting in one embryo-recovered bitch as donor and one offspring-delivered bitch as recipient in 5 PMSG-treated dogs, whereas no result was obtained from 3 FSH-treated dogs. The rate of embryo recovery to be compared with number of corpus luteum was 68.2% in ovariohysterectomized dogs and 55.2% in non-ovariohysterectomized dogs, respectively. The number of dogs from which embryo was collected were 4 dogs of 6 ovariohysterectomized dogs (66.7%) and 6 dogs of 7 non-ovariohysterectomized dogs (85.7%), respectively. The result of parturition was obtained from one dog of 5 estrus-induced recipients, whereas no result was obtained from 3 natural-estrus recipients. The only dog which delivered a male puppy had been transferred 3 morulae and 2 blastocysts. Of 6 repeat-used bitches in canine embryo transfer, 3 dogs showed repeatability either as donor or recipient. These results indicated that inducing estrus of a dog with gonadotropin is feasible in canine embryo transfer to be synchronized with that of a natural-estrus dog, that embryo recovery is also possible in non-hysterectomized dogs, that the estrus-induced dog is also usable as recipient to result in parturition, and that repeat-use of a bitch as donor or(and) recipient is possible in canine embryo transfer.

        개에서 Hamster test의 이용을 높이기 위한 정액처리조건

        To determine the test conditions to enhance the use of hamster test in dogs, semen were collected from four dogs which had been proven to be fertile in the past and then preserved in BWW (Biggers, Whitten, Whittingham) medium for about 20 hours. The semen were given each different treatment according to the experimental design and coincubated with zona-free hamster ova for 5 hours. The ova were stained by lacmoid and examined under phase contrast microscope to investigate the rates of ova bound with sperm(sperm binding) and ova penetrated by sperm (penetration), and also numbers of both bound and penetrated sperm per ovum. In comparison of different concentrations of canine sperm, the rate of sperm binding was higher in $1.5{\times}10^8$, $1{\times}10^8$, and $5{\times}10^7$ sperm concentrations than $5{\times}10^5$ concentration(p<0.01), and also than $5{\times}10^6$ concentration(p<0.05), respectively. The number of bound sperm per ovum was considerably higher in $1.5{\times}10^8$ sperm concentration than $5{\times}10^7$, $1.5{\times}10^6$, and $5{\times}10^5$ concentrations(p<0.01). The rate of penetration was considerably higher in $1.5{\times}10^8$ and $1{\times}10^8$ sperm concentrations than $5{\times}10^5$ concentration,(p<0.01), and also the higher result of penetration was shown in $5{\times}10^7$ than $5{\times}10^5$ (p<0.05). The number of penetrated sperm per ovum was considerably higher in $1.5{\times}10^8$ sperm concentrations than $5{\times}10^5$(p<0.01), and also the higher number was shown in $1{\times}10^8$ than $5{\times}10^5$ (p<0.05). In comparison of the different preincubation period of canine spermatozoa, no difference was obtained in the results of hamster test among the preincubation periods of 4 hours, 18~24 hours and 48 hours. The canine spermatozoa in BWW medium with $Ca^{2+}$(1.3mM) and without FCS(fetal calf serum), with both $Ca^{2+}$(1.3mM) and FCS, with $Ca^{2+}$(2.6mM) and without FCS, and with both $Ca^{2+}$(2.6mM) and FCS showed no difference in the results of hamster test.These results indicated that the appropriate concentration of sperm should be given in hamster test for dog sperm.

        Hamster test를 이용한 가축정자(家畜精子)의 수정능력(受精能力) 검정(檢定) 1. 돼지정자의 보존온도(保存溫度) 비교 및 돼지와 개정자의 hamster test결과

        To evaluate the fertilizing capacity of domestic animal spermatozoa by hamster test, semen were collected from 15 boars(Duroc, Landrace, and Yorkshire) and 2 mixed dogs which had been proved to be fertile in the past then, the semen were preserved in BWW medium at $4^{\circ}C$ or $18^{\circ}C$ for about 20 hours and coincubated with zona-free hamster ova for 5 hours. The ova were stained by lacmoid and examined under phase contrast microscope to investigate the rates of sperm binding to the ova, penetration and formation of a male pronucleus, and the numbers of both bound and penetrated sperm per ovum. Both the semen preserved at $18^{\circ}C$ for about 20 hours and that treated by swim up procedure showed considerably higher rates of sperm binding and penetration as well as higher number of penetrated sperm than that preserved at $4^{\circ}C$ for about 20 hours, respectively(p<0.01). Motility of boar sperm at insemination was from 40 to 90% and no difference in hamster test was obtained according to different degree of sperm motility. Abnormality in morphology of boar sperm at insemination was from 6 to 45% and no difference in hamster test was obtained according to different degree of sperm abnormality. The sperm concentrations of $7{\times}10^7$ and $7{\times}10^6$ showed considerably higher rates of sperm binding and penetration as well as higher number of bound sperm than that of $7{\times}10^4$ (p<0.01) along with the same higher results than that of $7{\times}10^5$(0<0.05), respectively. Boar sperm showed considerably higher rates of sperm binding and penetration as well as higher numbers of both bound and penetrated sperm than dog sperm, when both semen were treated by BWW+heparin medium and swim up procedure, respectively. These results indicated that fertile boar sperm showed considerably lower rates in the results of hamster test, when preserved at $4^{\circ}C$ for about 20 hours and in lower concentration of sperm than when preserved at $18^{\circ}C$ for about 20 hours and in higher concentration of sperm, respectively, and at the same time considerably higher results than fertile dog sperm, consequently to prove that hamster test would be of great value in assaying the fertilizing capacity of boar sperm.

      • 질병 진단용 호흡가스 분석기술 동향

        환자의 입 냄새로 질병을 구분했다는 기록은 고대 동서양의 역사에서 많이 찾아볼 수 있다. 최근 훈련된 개가 냄새로 암환자와 정상인을 구분했다는 뉴스가 보도 되었다. 호흡가스의 분석을 이용한 질병 검진은 병원에서 진행되고 있는 기존의 고가의 장비나 혈액 채취를 이용한 방법과 비교할 때 검진자와 피검진자가 손쉽게 저가로 진행될 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 최근 인체 호흡가스 분석법에 대한 연구개발이 미국과 유럽 국가를 중심으로 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 현재는 폐암, 폐결핵, 천식 등 주로 호흡기 관련 질병에 대한 분석법이 주를 이루고 있지만, 질병과 호흡가스 성분의 연관성이 밝혀짐에 따라 호흡가스 분석에 근거한 질병 진단은 미래의 다양한 질병 진단법으로 등장할 것으로 예상된다. 본고는 최근 호흡가스 분석법으로 응용되고 있는 질량 분석법과 가스 센서 어레이 기술의 현황 및 이들의 질병 진단 응용에 대해 전망하였다.
