높은 광흡수 계수를$(1{\times}10^5cm^{-1})$ 가지는 CIGS는 Ga의 비율에 따라서 밴드갭을 조절할 수 있다는 장점을 지니고 있다. CIGS의 밴드갭은 Ga의 비율에 따라 $CuInSe_2$(Eg: 1.0 eV)에서 $CuGaSe_2$(Eg: 1.68 eV)까지의 범위에 존재하며, 태양전지에 서 이상적인 fill factor 모양을 가지도록 Ga의 비율을 높게 조성한다. CIGS 흡수층을 제작하는 방법에는 co-evaporator 방식이 가장 널리 사용되며 연구되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 수평 형태의 hydride vapor transport (HVT)법을 고안하여 CIGS 나노 구조 및 에피성장을 시도하였다. HVT법은 $N_2$ 분위기에서 원료부의 CIGS 혼합물을 HCl과 반응시켜 염화물 기체상태로 변환 후 growth zone까지 이동하여 성장을 하는 방식이다. 성장기판은 c-$Al_2O_3$ 기판과 u-GaN을 사용하였다. 성장 후 field emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)과 energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS)를 이용하여 관찰하였다. The Cu$(In_{1-x}Ga_x)Se_2$ is the absorber material for thin film solar cell with high absorption coefficient of $1{\times}10^5cm^{-1}$. In the case of CIGS, the movable energy band gap from $CuInSe_2$ (1.00 eV) to $CuGaSe_2$ (1.68 eV) can be acquired while controlling Ga contain ratio. Generally, the co-evaporator method have used for development and fabrication of the CIGS absorption layer. However, this method should need many steps and lengthy deposition time with high temperature. For these reasons, in this paper, a new growth method of CIGS layer was attempted to hydride vapor transport (HVT) method. The CIGS mixed-source material reacted for HCl gas in the source zone was deposited on the substrate after transporting to growth zone. c-plane $Al_2O_3$ and undoped GaN were used as substrates for growth. The characteristics of grown samples were measured from SEM and EDS.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Sleep loss, insomnia, is considered a sign of imbalance of physiological rhythm, which can be used as pre-clinic diagnosis of various neuropsychiatric disorders. The aim of the present study is to understand the pharmacological actions of α- or β-amyrin, natural triterpene compound, on the sleep in mice. To analyze the sleeping behavior, we used the well-known pentobarbital-induced sleeping model after single administration of either α- or β-amyrin. The sleeping onset time was remarkably decreased and duration was prolonged by β-amyrin (1, 3, or 10mg/kg) but not by α-amyrin (1, 3, or 10mg/kg). These effects were significantly blocked by GABA<SUB>A</SUB> receptor antagonist, bicuculline. Moreover, β-amyrin increased brain GABA level compared to the vehicle administration. Overall, the present study suggests that β-amyrin would enhance the total sleeping behavior in pentobarbital-induced sleeping model via the activation of GABAergic neurotransmitter system through GABA content in the brain.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Pentobarbital-induced sleeping behavior was prolonged by β-amyrin. </LI> <LI> Increased sleeping behavior was blocked by GABA<SUB>A</SUB> receptor antagonist. </LI> <LI> Brain GABA level was increased by β-amyrin administration. </LI> </UL> </P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Oleanolic acid is a naturally occurring triterpenoid and is widely present in food and medicinal plants. To examine the effect of oleanolic acid on memory deficits, we employed a cholinergic blockade-induced cognitive deficit mouse model. A single administration of oleanolic acid significantly increased the latency on the passive avoidance task and affected the alternation behavior on the Y-maze task and the exploration time on the novel object recognition task, indicating that oleanolic acid reverses the cognitive impairment induced by scopolamine. In accordance with previous reports, oleanolic acid enhanced extracellular-signal-regulated kinase 1/2 <B>(</B>ERK1/2) and cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB) phosphorylation and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression in the hippocampus. Interestingly, ameliorating effect of oleanolic acid on scopolamine-induced memory impairment was abolished by N2-(2-{[(2-oxoazepan-3-yl)amino]carbonyl}phenyl)benzo[<I>b</I>]thiophene-2-carboxamide (ANA-12), a potent and specific inhibitor of tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB), in the passive avoidance task. Similarly, oleanolic acid significantly evoked long-term potentiation in a dose-dependent manner, which was diminished by ANA-12 treatment as shown in the electrophysiology study. Together, these results imply that oleanolic acid ameliorates scopolamine-induced memory impairment by modulating the BDNF-ERK1/2-CREB pathway through TrkB activation in mice, suggesting that oleanolic acid would be a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of cognitive deficits.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Oleanolic acid activated the ERK1/2-CREB-BDNF pathway in the hippocampus via TrkB activation. </LI> <LI> Scopolamine-induced memory dysfunction was ameliorated by oleanolic acid treatment. </LI> <LI> Oleanolic acid evoked the long-term potentiation in a dose-dependent manner. </LI> <LI> Oleanolic acid would be a potential therapeutic agent for the cognitive problem. </LI> </UL> </P>

hydroxycinnamic acid인 ferulic acid와 caffeic acid는 강력한 식물성 항산화제 이다. DPPH 수용액에서 이들의 자유라디칼 소거능과 높은 온도, 금속 이온과 같은 산화촉진 요인에 대한 화학적 안정성 등을 살펴보았다. 아스코르빅 산의 안정성 향상을 위해 ferulic acid와 caffeic acid를 아스코르빅산 수용액에 첨가하였다. 아스코르빅 산의 안정성 향상은 시간경과에 따른 SC50 값의 변화로부터 확인하였다. 아스코르빅 산을 ferulic acid 또는 caffeic acid와 조합하여 BGsome 안에 포집시켜본 결과, 아스코르빅 산의 안정성이 순수한 용액 상태로 있을 때에 비해 크게 향상되었다. Ferulic and caffeic acids are hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives, which are potent plant antioxidants. Their free radical scavenging abilities in aqueous solution exposed to DPPH radical, and chemical stabilities against oxidative stress like high temperature and metal ion, were evaluated. To improve the stability of ascorbic acid solution, ferulic acid or caffeic acid was incorporated into ascorbic acid solution. Stability improvement of ascorbic acid was verified through SC50 value change according to storage time. Ascorbic acid in combination with ferulic acid or caffeic acid was encapsulated with high efficiency inside BGsome. In this form, its stability was remarkably enhanced compared to that in free aqueous solution.

In this study, the result of geogrid-reinforced slope and the simulation result using finite element analysis program Visual FEA/Edu were compared for verifying the validity of finite element analysis model. Reinforced slope was formed as a finite element mesh and physical properties of soil and geogrids were assigned. The actual settlement of the reinforced slope and finite element analysis results through contour image showed similar aspects. When finite element mesh was formed rightly and exact physical properties of target were assigned, it is supposed that the results of analysis are reliable. By simulating of field condition before construction, it would be able to get the reasonable choice of geosynthetics.

폐암의 심장 전이는 비특이적인 증상과 징후로 의심하지 않으면 임상적으로 발견하기가 쉽지 않다. 허혈성 심질환 때 생기는 심전도와 유사한 변화를 보이는 경우가 많고 실제 관상동맥에 문제가 동반되는 일도 있기 때문에 주의를 요한다. 폐암의 심근 전이로 인한 심전도 변화를 보인 환자를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Metastatic tumors to the myocardium proper are uncommon and difficult to diagnose because they have nonspecific signs and symptoms. Electrocardiogram (ECG) changes mimicking ischemic heart disease often develop when non-conducting tumor tissue replaces cardiac muscle. Hence, a high level of suspicion is required to differentiate ECG changes caused by myocardial metastasis from those caused by coronary heart disease in cancer patients. We describe a case of primary lung cancer with myocardial metastasis that showed diffuse ST segment elevation and T wave inversion on the ECG, with a relevant literature review. Background: This study tries to compare and analyze the removal effect of dental plaque of general dentifrice and pregnant women’s dentifrice and quantify the results to provide basic data so that consumers can make reasonable choices when purchasing dentifrice, and also increase interest in the dental plaque. Methods: After forming a dental plaque (carbohydrate porridge) on the labial surface of the bovine teeth, a disclosing agent was applied. Then the same experimenter brushed the surface of the bovine teeth using an electric toothbrush and took photographs using a DSLR camera. Thereafter, the residual amount of dental plaque was analyzed using the ImageJ program, and SPSS 26.0 was used for statistical processing. Results: The average residual amount of dental plaque using the general dentifrice was 11.71% for Perio, 9.45% for Cliden, and 8.47% for 2080, and the average residual amount for the three types was approximately 9.88%. The average residual amount of dental plaque of pregnant women’s dentifrice was 13.95% for Jeninmothers, 12.53% for Tntnmoms, and 12.63% for Mommiracle, and the average residual amount of the three types was approximately 13.04%. On comparing the average residual amount of dental plaque between general and pregnant women’s dentifrices, it was observed to be 3.16% higher for the latter. However, the results were not statistically significant. Conclusion: According to the research results, there was no significant difference in removal effects of general dentifrice and pregnant women’s dentifrice. In addition, when a pregnant woman uses the right toothbrushing method with pregnant women’s dentifrice, it can prevent or inhibit the progression of the gestational periodontal disease. Therefore, we recommend pregnant women to use pregnant women’s dentifrices.
