This paper aims to give light on the poetic characteristics in Seo Jeong-ju’s poetic works of "Chilmajae Sin'hwa", especially focusing on Seo's physical imagination. In " Chilmajae Sin hwa", Seo Jeong-ju represented the unarticulated life of country folks. He made an effort to penetrate an empirical truth of folic life, overcoming the abstractness of poetic speculation by freely displaying his physical imagination. In such poem as 'Adultery and a well', Seo's physical imagination was incarnated in the aspect of consuming physical desire. On another hand, in poems like 'Urine strength of squire Lee's wife', the physical imagination gave birth to such images as a fertile body and water which symbolized augmentation of the productivity of the earth. The physical imagination was also taken a form in the way of transcending the limits of a body through bodily transformation in such poems as 'The bride' and 'A storm surge'. This kind of transformation could be interpreted as a method to overcome the pain of life. In "Chilnnajae Sin'hwa", Seo Jeong-ju showed the process for a being of physical handicap to reach a transcendental being through the ultimate act of a bodily extinction. In other words, So^'s poetic characters could be said to have won fundamental freedom by transcending the limits of time and space by the way of a bodily extinction. The extermination of a physical body in 'The sigh of the sterile woman Hainnul'daek' and 'The hermit Jaegoni' was incarnated as a source to acquire the freedom in time and space. This was the concretization of 'infinity' which was one of Seo's poetic goals.

This thesis is to understand all aspects of poems by Baek-soek by studying how self-consciousness in the poems changes. Self in his poems has diverse aspects; the one under the protection of maternity during childhood and the one suffering from the absence of paternity. During childhood, the self is emotionally satisfied under maternity. native local foods are a medium through which the self of childhood discovers the protection of maternity and gains emotional satisfaction. As he grows up, he pursues paternity, free from maternity. However, due to the absence of paternity, he clashes with the outside world, which is described in the from of disruption of family. One of the important factors in forming the self is harmonious relationship with others. Facing a break of relationship with a loved one, he experiences existential agony in his adult age. The loved one failed to relieve him of such agony. The poetic self finds him frustrated after he has failed to fulfill his love and then, experiences a sense of isolation and seeks escape from the reality and seclusion. Therefore, to get out of these distresses, the self seeks to develop his identity by internalizing strong mentality. Internalization of strong will to live and glorious mentality leads to discovery of identity. For instance, 'Nansinyeujoo Yudong Baksibongbang' is a poem in which the self in poems by Baek-soek discovers internal values and recover himself at the extremity of despair.

Quality Characteristics of Sweet Potato Paste Prepared by Different Cultivar and Heating methods
Ji Hyeon Yu,Tae Yong You,Tae Hwan Shin,Yeon Jae Jo,Keum Il Jang,Heon Sang Jeong 한국식품영양과학회 2021 한국식품영양과학회 학술대회발표집 Vol.2021 No.10
This study conducted to investigate the quality characteristics of sweet potato pastes prepared by different cultivar(Daeyumi, Sinjami, and Juhwangmi cultivar) and heating methods(steaming, high temperature, and baking). Total sugar content of Juhwangmi cultivar was increased from 8.02% in raw to 24% after baking. Fructose and glucose contents of raw sweet potatoes were 0.64% and 0.84% in Sinjami cultivar, respectively, and sucrose content was the highest value of 5.15% in Juhwangmi cultivar. After heat treatment, maltose was detected and increased from 6.84% in steaming to 14.25% in baking. The extrusion force according to treatment methods was the highest value of 157.72 N.s in Daeyumi varieties after baking treatment. Therefore, the baking treatment for producing sweet potato paste is suitable method because sugar content is increased and the extrusion force is improved.
One-step Production of Butyl Butyrate
Hyeon Ji NOH,Ye Rin YOON,Ji Eun WOO,Haeng Lim LEE,Sang Yup LEE,Yu-Sin JANG 한국생물공학회 2021 한국생물공학회 학술대회 Vol.2021 No.10
Butyl butyrate is used as an important compound in industries for producing wines, beverages, foods, and perfumes. The current process for butyl butyrate production has been developed as a two-step process, chemical processes for the production of butanol and butyrate, which are enzymatically converted to butyl butyrate by employing lipases. In this study, alcohol acyltransferases (AATs) were introduced into Clostridium acetobutylicum for the one-step production of butyl butyrate from glucose. We selected C. acetobutyrlicum ATCC 824 as the host for butyl butyrate production, because it effectively provides butanol and butyl-CoA, precursors required for the ester production. For the esterification, the SAAT gene and AAAT gene were employed from Fragaria x anassa and Malu sp., respectively. Batch culture of the engineered C. acetobutylicum CaSAAT showed 50.07 ㎎/L of butyl butyrate production, while engineered C. acetobutylicum CaAAAT produced 40.60 ㎎/L. This study demonstrated the one-step production of butyl butyrate using the engineered C. acetobutylicum without external supplementation of precursors.

Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) seeds have recently been attracting attention as a new high value-added food material due to their excellent nutritional properties, and research on the development of functional food materials and foods using them is actively progressing. The present study was conducted to evaluate the antioxidant properties of hemp seed protein hydrolysates. Protein hydrolysates were prepared from defatted hemp seed powder (HS) by enzymatic hydrolysis using five different proteases (alcalase, bromelain, flavourzyme, neutrase, and papain). As a result of TNBS assay and SDS-PAGE analysis, HS treated with all enzymes except papain showed a high degree of hydrolysis. The total polyphenol content of the protein hydrolysates (<3 kDa) and the RC50 values obtained from two different antioxidant tests showed that the alcalase hydrolysate (HSA) had a relatively high level of antioxidant capacity. In addition, treatment with HSA (100 μg/mL) significantly inhibited linoleic acid peroxidation. These results suggest that hemp seed protein hydrolysates are potential sources of natural antioxidants, and further studies are needed to identify active peptides from HSA.
Evaluation of cytotoxic effect of linalool and 2-phenoxyethanol in A549 cells
Ji Hyeon Yu(유지현),Ga Eun Kim(김가은),Hee Je Choi(최희제),Ha Ryong Kim(김하룡) 환경독성보건학회 2021 한국독성학회 심포지움 및 학술발표회 Vol.2021 No.5
In Korea, humidifier disinfectants killed many people with lung damage, thereby implementing the Consumer Chemical Products and Biocides Safety Act. In particular, the synergistic effect of the biocide mixture was of primary concern. This study was performed to evaluate the synergistic effect of linalool and 2-phenoxyethanol mixture. The WST-1 and LDH assays were used to assess cell viability in the A549 cell line. The toxic unit 1 was determined by calculating the IC50 of each substance. The model derivation ratio (MDR) value was derived by measuring the cytotoxicity of binary mixture and a case of >2 was defined as synergy. Loewe synergy scores were calculated for in-depth analysis. The MDR of mixture was 2.26 in LDH assays. The mean of Loewe synergy was 10.02. The mixture of linalool and 2-phenoxyethanol showed a synergistic effect, which was more stronger in proportion to the concentration. Further studies are needed to elucidate the mechanisms behind the synergies of linalool and 2-phenoxyethanol mixture.
