      • 참돌꽃 근경의 항산화작용

        The purpose of this study was to determine the antioxidative effects of Rhodiola sachalinensis Rhodiola methanol extract was fractionated sequentially with dichloromethane and butanol. Each Rhodiola fraction (water, MeOH, BuOH and CH_2Cl_2 fractions) showed the potent superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity, and had inhibitory effets on peroxide value of linoleic acid (40~57%) and lipid peroxidation (47~70%) in FE^2+/ascorbate system-induced rat liver microsome. Rhodiola methanol extract also recovered carbon tetrachloride-induced decrease in SOD by 42% and catalase activities by 50%, and had inhibitory effects (54%) on carbon tetrachloride-induced lipid peroxidation in rat liver microsome. These results suggest that Rhodiola sachalinensis has the antioxidative effects.

        공간 상징을 통해 본 방랑의 모티브 : Wilhelm Meisters Wanderjahre를 중심으로

        Das Wander-Motiv ist ein biliebtes Motiv in der Literaturgeschichte, besonders bei Goethe. Er griff ha¨ufig dieses Motiv auf und verwendete in verschiedenen Werken, in lyrischen und epischen Gattungen. Aus den zahlreichen Werken ragt der Roman Wihelm Meisters Wanderjahre mit seiner Intensita¨t und Virtuosita¨t hervor. In den Wanderjahren ero¨ffnet sich eine erweiterte Raumgestaltung. Und die ausfu¨hrlich dargestellten Ra¨urne enthalten jeweilig symobolisch Zu¨ge, die mit dem Sinn des Wanderns im engen Zusammenhang stehen. In dieser Hinsicht Wurde es hier versucht, das Motiv des Wanderns durch Raumsymbolik neu zu beleuchten. Zuna¨chst stellt das Gebirge die Trennung Wilhelms von seiner Geliebten, Natalie symbolisch dar. Diese Trennung bedeutet ihm Entsagung, die als das Hauptthema den ganzen Roman durchziegt. Zweitens, das Schloβ von Makarie symbolisiert mitdessen Turm den Heiligtum, geistliche Hoheit, welches wiederum mit dem Charakter der Hausherrin u¨bereinstimmt. In dieser Station wird Wilhelm von Makarie und ihre Wirkung tiefst beeindruckt, sodaβ er seine neue Lebensaufgabe unter den Mitmenschen erkennt. Drittens, die Pa¨dagogische Provinz ist das Symbol fu¨r Utopie der Erziehung. Ihre erzierische Ideologie beruht auf die dreifache Ehrfurcht und den Utilitarismus. In dieser Gegend betrachtet Wilhelm, wie sich der Mensch mit seiner handwerklichen Arbeit vorbereitet, um den anderen nu¨tzlich zu werden. Zuletzt funktioniert Lago Maggiore als ein Ort der Selbstreflexion und geistlicher Wiedergeburt. Hier auf dem See sieht Wilhelm sich sein Innere ein, das mit dem bitteren Gedenken der Toten (Mignon und die Fischerknaben) erfu¨llt ist. Nach der Reflixion stellt er sich fest, Wundarzt zu lernen und damit die Mitmenschen zu bedienen. Dieser Denkprozeβ bezieht sich auch auf das Symbol der Raumstruktur, na¨mlich das Symbol von See und Wasser. Aus dieser Auseinandersetzung mit der Raumsymbolik schluβfolgert, dass Wilhelms Wanderschaft mit dem Ortswechsel immer tiefere Bedeutungen tra¨gt, und diese Bedeutungen durch die Symbol interpretation der Raumgestaltungen erhoben werden. Angefangen mit der Wanderuns als Entsagung findet Wilhelm allma¨hlich durch den langen Bildungprozeβ seine wahre Identita¨t und Sendung, indem er an mehreren bedeutungsvollen Stationen voru¨bergeht. Also, der Sinn des Wanderns integriert sich in Reife, die sich erst durch Ehrfurcht u¨ber Menschen bzw. Hingabe fu¨r Menschen erreichen la¨βt.

      • 하이퍼 큐브네트워크를 이용한 Radiance Estimation 프로세서의 설계

        본 논문에서는 Radiance Estimation 연산에 존재하는 전역적인 병렬성을 처리할 수 있는 구조를 제안한다. 기존의 소프트웨어 처리는 계산에 필요한 많은 연산의 시간이 필요로 하기 메문에 하드웨어 적인 구현의 필요성이 증대하였다. Radiance Estimation 알고리즘의 병렬성을 이용하여 SIMD 처리 방식으로 설계를 하였으며 연산의 단위인 Cell의 통신은 4차인 하이퍼 큐브 네트워크를 이용하여 데이터간의 효율성은 높였다. 그리고 연산의 신호에 따라 다양한 기능을 하는 Cell로 구성을 하여 Radiance Estimation 연산의 Photon 검색과 밀도추정 연산을 하나의 시스템에서 적용이 가능하였다.

      • 대전공단지역의 대지중 독성 금속의 농도 분석

        In spite of lower concentration of toxic metals in urban air, the magnitude of health risk associated with may not be smaller than that by other airborne hazardous pollutants. Especially, it has been expected that the risk from an industrial complex may be much higher by toxic metals including carcinogenic ones. However, unfortunately there has been few domestic research on the concentration profile and risk assessment of airborne toxic metals in such area. The reason may be that the final objective of studies performed before for our urban air was either source characterization or quantitative source estimation of suspended particulate matter and development of a receptor model. Thus, few investigation into the concentration distribution for toxic metals such as As, Be , Cr, Ni, Se, Sb and V has been done. Therefore, this research will focus on 2-year- analysis(twice or four times per month) by using ICP-MS and ICP-AES for the concentration of heavy metals in Taejon Industrial Complex. ICP-MS has much more excellent detection limits and reproducibility for many toxic metals than any other analytical technique. Total suspended particulates were collected on quartz fiber filters by a high volume air sampler. About 20 metal elements including 13 toxic ones were analyzed by ICP-MS and ICP-AES after the pretreatment of mixed acid extraction. As a part of the research, the following results for the period of from June to August, 1997 were summarized : (1) the geometric mean concentration of TSP was 87.28㎍/㎥ during the sampling period in the study area. The maximum was 114.16㎍/㎥ in the 4th week of August while the minimum was 47.97㎍/㎥in the first week of August; (2) much higher concentrations of Pb and Zn were noted among toxic metals and their geometric means were 288.31ng/㎥ and 153.47ng/㎥, respectively. The highest concentration of Pb was 570.99ng/㎥ in the 4th week of August while that of Zn was 279.03 ng/㎥ in the first week of June;(3) the concentration of each Ni, Mn, Zn and Fe was found to be highly correlated with that of TSP, which indicated the greater impact of man- made pollution in the area. The concentration of elements such as Al, Ca and Mg related to soil and road dust was found to be the highest in June and their correlation coefficients were estimated to be very high.

        The paper deals with stress and deflection analyses for newly developed PP-pipe structures of LG-Caltex company. In order to calculate the values of stress and deflection, the elements of pipes and its hanger supports are discretized. Through the numerical simulations using commercial FEM code, stresses and deflections of pipes with two or more hanger supports are obtained, and the stability of pipes are checked. Finally, optimal numbers of hanger supports satisfying allowable bending stress is proposed.

        해양에서 분리한 Bacillus subtilis SH-1이 분비하는 용균효소의 정제 및 특성

        용균활성이 우수한 균주를 사용하여 균주가 생산하는 용균효소를 분리 정제하고 그 특성을 검토하였다. Bacillus subtilis SH-1이 생산하는 효소의 정제는 최적 조건에서 얻은 배양액의 상징액을 황산암모늄 침전, CM-cellulose 및 Sephadex G-100에 의한 gel 여과 및 hydroxylapatite column chromatography를 행하였을 때 본 효소는 약 66.5배로 정제되었으며 회수율은 18.5%였다. 본 효소의 최적 pH는 9.0, 최적온도는 50℃이었고, pH는 6.0~10.0 범위에서 안정하였으며 열 안정성은 30℃이하에서는 안정하나 60℃에서는 완전 실활되었다. 본 효소의 분자량은 23,000 dalton으로, 단일효소 단백질이었다. 식중독의 원인균을 주 대상으로 용균효소에 대한 cell의 용해율을 조사한 결과 대부분의 Gram 음성균에 대해서는 용해율이 31% 이하였으며 Gram 양성균에 대해서는 cell의 용해율이 48% 이상으로 나타났다. 특히 Vibrio sp.와 Listeria sp. 균주에 대한 용해율은 73% 이상이었다. Peptidoglycan 분해산물의 측정결과 탁도가 감소됨에 따라 free amino group이 유리되어 나왔으며 casein의 가수분해능이 있는 것으로 보아 본 효소는 endopeptidase로 추정되었다. The bacteriolytic enzyme produced from Bacillus subtilis SH-1 was purified and characterized, and its molecular weight was determined. The bacteriolytic enzyme activity was increased about 66.5 times via purification with recovery yield of 18.5%. The optimum pH and temperature of this enzyme were 9.0 and 50℃. The enzyme was stable within a pH range of 6.0~10.0 and unstable above 60℃. The molecular weight of the enzyme was estimated to be 23,000 dalton in a form of monomer with no other subunits. Effect of the enzyme on the lysis of bacteria engaged in food posion was tested. The lysis degree was below 31% against Gram negative bacteria and above 48% in Gram positive bacteria. The values higher than 73% were obtained against Vibrio sp. and Listeria sp. As the turbidity of dissolved peptidoglycan decreases, the free amino group levels were increased. And, based on hydrolysis of casein, this enzyme was thought to be an endopeptidase.

      • 디지털다중서명을 이용한 이동에이전트 보안시스템의 설계

        Mobile agent system comes into the spotlight since it contributes largely to mobile computing on distributed network environment. However, this system has a number of significant security problems. In this paper, we analyze security attacks to mobile agent system presented by NIST[3]. In order to protect this system from them, we suggest a security protocol for mobile agent system by employing ID based key distribution and digital multi-signature scheme. To solve these problems described on NIST, securities of mobile agent and agent platform should be accomplished. Comparing with other protocols, our protocol performs both of these securities, while other protocols mentioned only one of them. Furthermore, it is designed to guarantee the liveness of agent, and to detect message modification immediately by verifying each step of agent execution at a corresponding server.

      • 유방암 환자에서 bcl-2 단백 발현의 예후 인자로서의 의의

        Breast cancer in women pose a problem, and it can be difficult at times to evaluate the possibility of the cancer recurrence in node negative early cancer. The reliable prognostic markers are needed in breast cancer management to help clinicians identify the patient with the high risk of recurrence and arrive at more rational decisions for proper treatment. In order to investigate the prognostic significance of bcl-2, an immunohis-tochemical staining was performed in 35 tissue sections from paraffin blocks of primary breast cancer. Bcl-2 positivity was 43%. No relation could be observed between bcl-2 expression and known prognostic factors(tumor size, lymph node metastasis state, histologic grade, and nuclear grade), There was strong relation between bcl-2 expression and estrogen receptor positivity (ER) (P〈0.05). No relation is found between bcl-2 expression and c - erbB - 2 expression. These results suggest that bcl-2 expression is associated with a favorable prognostic factor(ER) but it is of no value as independent prognostic factor to the clinician in identifying the patients with high risk of recurrence.
