This paper deals with the design of speech synthesis using adaptive differential PCM. Speech synthesis of ADPCM method obtained a good sound quality than other speech synthesis method. In this test sampling frequency obtained the most sound quality in 8KHz. The IC using speech synthesis circuit design used to MSM5205RS of OKI Electric in Japan.
삶의 신화적 구원 : 서정주의 '질마재 신화'에 대한 일고찰 A Study on JILMAJAE SINHWHA(질마재 神話) of Seo, Jeong Joo

We have two attitudes to be faced with the world-one is objective and the other subjective. The former guides us to practical world that gives us convenience, and the later let us build a mythical world that offers us the meaning of life. We must accept the practical and the mythical at the same time. But we often think that the practical is more important than the mythical, because this is irrational and that rational. The mythical makes man unify with nature. In old Greek meaning, the nature is the physis, the substance of the world. So the unification of man and nature means the unification of man and the substance of beings. But after the Lost Paradise, the man became estranged from the nature because he only pursued the culture. So the man now should try to return to the nature through the myth. Neverthless, the modern man has a tendency to regard that the myth is the fossil of irrational cognition of man. The poet, Seo Jeong-Joo shows us a dream that unifies man and nature through the passage of myth in his poetical works JILMAJAB SINHWA. Some characters in this 「Jilmajae Sinhwa」 have irrational ideas and Show impractical actions in their daily lives. But most of the dwellers in Jilmajae town allow generously them to act irrationally. The attitudes of allowing the irrationalities mean the transcendentalism from the routine dailiness. If we agree that the dailiness means the unoriginality from the substance, we can say that the pursuing undailiness(transcendence) is the way to originality (substance of being). As M. Heideggar refers the home to the origin of beings, so the poet Seo Jeong-Joo tries to return his origin through returning his hometown Jilmajae. He tries to break the fixed idea that the rational is always modern and worthy. He thinks that the irrational and mythical is very important in our actual lives. Believing that the myth can change the hardheartedness of the dailiness to the significant lives, he tries to build a myth on the hardhearted dailiness. And he is sure that the myth can overcome the crisis of our modern lives, and carry us to the original lives. So, in this poetic works JILMAJAE SINHWA, the poet attempts to unify the man with the nature (the substance of being) through building the mythical world on his home town Jilmajae.

In general the bird appears as the image of freedom and transcendence, and also symbolizes an ability to come up higher being. The poet Cheon Sang-byeong dreamed the freedom and transcendence from the repression(restraint) of irrational actuality, and shows the process of self-salvation through the bird-images. He lived through distressing period in Korean history. He grew up during the colonial rule of Japan, and endured the Korean-war at a young age. He experienced the April-revolution and the Military coup d'etat. And especially, he was connected with the East-Berlin Espionage on a false charge in 1967, and so he experienced indescribable physical and mental pains including horrible torture. They were literally extreme situations for him. But Cheon endured such repressed situations, and he could overcome them, because he thought this life is a kind of excursion. If someone is going on an excursion, he need not cling to the actual state. Such a view of life made him live in liberty and generosity. And the birds are very suitable poetic images to reveal his view of life. Birds mediate between the heavens and the earth, and they can fly away any time, so they can be the images of liberty and freedom. The images of lightness, delight and the flight of birds are symbols of Cheon's soul. In the end, the process of changing the bird-images in the poems of Cheon is the changing forms of overcoming his irrational actualities, and the process of his self-rescue. Therefore he could rise above the world and could go back to heaven through the bird-images.
