        Simplified Effective Compressive Strengths of Columns with Intervening Floor Slabs

        The current design codes discuss the effective compressive strengths of columns, which reflect a decrease in load transfer performance that can occur when columns and slabs have different concrete compressive strengths. The effective compressive strength of a column increases as it is confined by the slab, and the design codes mandate three different effective compressive strengths for interior columns (confinement on four sides), exterior columns (confinement on three sides), and corner columns (confinement on two sides). For both corner and exterior columns, the confinement effect of the slab is significantly smaller than that for the interior column, and there is a more marked decrease in load transfer performance. However, there is still a lack of theoretical studies investigating the effective compressive strengths of the corner and exterior columns. Therefore, based on the analysis model established in previous research, this study has proposed an equation for calculating the effective compressive strengths of the corner, exterior and isolated columns without any confinement effects of the slab. In addition, axial loading tests of isolated columns were conducted and the proposed equation was verified.

      • 窒素質肥科의 基追肥 施用時期가 이타리안라이그라스의 生育 및 靑草收量과 養分組成에 미치는 影響

        本 硏究는 冬季休閑畓을 活用한 이타리안 라이그라스의 栽培에 알맞은 窒素質肥料의 基·追肥 施用適期를 알고자 遂行하였던 바 다음과 같은 結果를 얻었다. 1. 窒素基肥施用時期가 늦어질수록 越 草長의 伸長短縮과 靑草收量을 感收시켰고 組蛋白質, 組脂肪, 組灰粉의 含量도 적어 飼料의 質을 低下시켰으며 또한 越冬期 枯死莖 被害와 越冬後의 靑草收量도 減小시켰다. 2. 窒素質肥料의 追肥施用適期 試驗에서도 追肥施用適期가 늦어질수록 生育量 및 追肥施用適期 減小와 節間을 伸長시켰으며 組蛋, 白質, 組脂肪 含量도 적었다. 3. 窒素質肥料의 基追肥 施用適期는 基肥는 播種當日, 追肥는 生育再生後 10日頃이었다. This experiment was carried out to study the effects of different application times on the nitrogen fertilizer, the fresh matter yield and feed efficiency of Italianryegrass under winter cropping on drained paddy field. Plant height, fresh matter yield and content of organic nutrient were decreased. According as the application times of top basal dressing on the nitrogen were late. In the experiment of the application times of top dressing on the nitrogen times of top wintering. Agronomic characters, fresh matter yield, crude protein, crude fat and crude were decreased. According as thd application times of top dressing on the nitrogen fertilizer were late. The optimum application time of nitrogen fertilizer was sowing date in basal dressing and was 10 days after regrowth in top dressing.

      • 경포호의 어류상 및 어류군집 특성

        The characteristics of ichthyofauna and fish community in the Lagoon Gyeongpo, Korea were investigated from May to October 2005. The total number of fish caught during the period was representing 26 specis and 18 families. Most dominant species was T. hakonensis(50.65%) and subdominant specis was A. flavimaus(25.41%). K. punctatatus(11.07%), M. cephalus(6.53%), E. japonicus(1.46%), C. castaneus(1.01%) were also numerous. The total biomass of collected fish showed 147.00kg, 135.83kg, 85.60kg,23.76kg, repectively. A pattern of the fish community according to seasonal veriations appear to be related tp spawning periods of species. Comparison of the ichthyofauna in present study with the references from early years suggests that there has been a gradual decrease, in composition, of primary freshwater specis accompanying with the increase of peripheral freshwater and seawater specis.

        This study was designed to exam the aged's needs for spiritual nursing care. The purpose was to serve as a basis for the development of spiritual nursing practice. The major findings are as follows : 1. The degree of needs for spiritual nursing care as area was that needs of love and relationship mean 22.0, needs of meaning and object mean 28.2, needs of forgiving mean 13.5. Total needs for spiritual nursing care mean 63.7, which was on the upper middle level. The needs of meaning and object was rated highest. 2. Among the general characteristics of the subjects, needs of love and relatiohship wasn't significanlty different. 3. Among the general characteristics of the subjects, needs of meaning and object was significantly different according to two factors : age(F=7.260, p=0.001), religion(F=5.275, p=0.001). Higher needs of meaning and object was possessed by the older than the younger, by the one who have religion than the other. 4. Among the general characteristics of the subjects, four factors made a significantly difference to needs of forgiving : sex(t=-2.851, p=0.006), age(F=8.201, p=0.001), religion(F=6.928, p=0.000), disease(t=2.327, p=0.024). Higher needs of forgiving was possessed by man than woman, by the older than the younger, by the one who have religion than the other, by the one who have disease than the other.

        蔘茸扶正湯의 放射線 照射로 損傷된 組織 恢復 및 造血促進 效果

        현재 서양의학에서 활용되고 있는 항암 요법으로는 外科處置, 化學療法, 放射線療法 및 免疫療法 等이 있으며, 그 중에서는 抗癌劑에 의한 화학요법과 방사선요법이 가장 많이 응용되고 있다. 그런데 이들은 癌細胞뿐만 아니라 正常細胞까지도 殺傷함으로써 腫瘍細胞를 억제하는 동시에 骨髓造血器, 消化系統 및 免疫機能을 포함하는 인체의 정상적인 기능을 손상시키는 문제점으로 그 사용에 제한을 받고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 蔘茸扶正湯의 항암요법으로 손상된 조직의 회복 및 조혈촉진 효과를 규명하기 위해 생쥐를 대상으로 하여 실험하였다. 그 결과, 생쥐 비장세포에 대한 增殖效果, 造血促進因子의 分泌能, 방사선에 대한 임파구의 防禦效果, 방사선에 대한 조혈세포 防禦效果, 방사선(9Gy)을 조사받은 생쥐의 生存率 등에서 유의성있는 결과를 얻어내어 아래와 같이 보고하는 바이다. Radiotherapy is an irreplaceable method of cancer treatment. But it has several side effects, especially damages to the hemopoietic and Immune system. Therefore radioprotectors are required to treat cancer successfully. A lot of Herbs and Herbal prescriptions are reported to have radioprotective effects. Above all, those to support the healthy energy and strengthen the body resistance are found more effective. This study was performed to evaluate the radioprotective effects of prescription Shenrong Fuzheng Tang(S. F. T), which consists of 16 kinds of herbs. We investigated proliferation of murine splenocytes, secretion of colony-stimulating-factors(CSFs), immunocompetence after irradiation in-vitro, and Endogenous spleen colony assay, survival assay in-vivo. When splenocytes were cultured with Shenrong Fuzheng Tang (S.F.T) (500㎍/㎖), proliferation was enhanced 5.7 times compared to control cultured with medium alone(P〈0.05) and, showed highest proliferation at 4th day after incubation. In order to evaluate stimulation of hemopoiesis of Shenrong Fuzheng Tang(S.F.T), the supernatant of splenocytes cultured with optimal concentration of Shenrong Fuzheng Tang(S.F.T) was used to measure CSFs secretion. The result showed enhanced secretion of colony-stimulating-factors(CSFs) compared to control(P〈0.05). To evaluate the protective effect of lymphocytes from irradiation, proliferation of splenocytes stimulated by LPS and ConA after incubation with Shenrong Fuzheng Tang(S.F.T) for 24h Prior to Irradiation(1∼3 Gy) was measured. The results showed higher proliferation of Shenrong Fuzheng Tang(S.F.T.) treated cells than that of non-treated cells. And percentage increases of irradiated splenocytes per non-irradiated splenocytes were also higher in Shenrong Fuzheng Tang(S. F. T)-treated cells than control. Endogenous spleen colony assay, to evaluate the protection of hemopoietic cells form irradiation, showed increased number of colonies(p=0.03) in Shenrong Fuzheng Tang(S.F.T) treated murine spleen(10.3±1.9) compared to non-treated murine spleen(3.4±0.8). Survival time of mice irradiated with lethal dose of γ-ray(9Gy) was prolonged in Shenrong Fuzheng Tang(S.F.T) treated group prior to irradiation as compared to non-treated group. According to these results we can suggest that prescription Shenrong Fuzheng Tang(S.F.T) has radioprotective effects and be used to protect the hemopoietic and immune system from damages of anti-cancer radiotherapy.

      • 유도선수의 경기직전 경쟁 불안 연구(Ⅰ)

        The purpose of this study was to offer the basic information to develop multiple anxiety test (cognitive, physiological, behavior) for Judo player, The Subjects were 107 male judo players who had been participated into The spring season univer- sity judo match. Raw data were analysed from 100 subjects. The qustionnaire to test was CASI -2 by Martens(1990). The statistical analysis used frequency and X^(2). The following conclusion were made : 1) The cognitive anxiety of judo player were showed the highest on match re- sult, were shewed the most denial response on attention. 2) The physical anxiety of judo player were showed the highest on digestive organs. Judo player were showed slight response of anxiety on physiological change. 3) The self- confidence anxiety of judo player were more significantly changed by psychological values than physical values. AS a conclusion, this study can be auggested that sport pscychologist have to develop detailed state anxiety test questionnaire invovling match result, digestive problem, and confidence considerated match importance.

        급성 파라쿼트 중독에서 혈중 파라쿼트 농도

        Background: Paraquat is a bipyridyl compound, and when ingested, concentrated paraquat can cause either rapid death from multisystem failure and cardiovascular shock or delayed death from progressive pulmonary fibrosis. Paraquat is poorly absorbed by inhalation, but when ingested orally, severe illness can occur. Death usually occurs within 2 days if more than 50 ㎎/㎏ of paraquat is ingested . The most important prognostic indicator is the quantity of paraquat absorbed, as shown by the plasma paraquat concentration, and the prognostic indication depends mostly on the description given by the patients and their families about the amount of paraquat ingested, which is often underestimated or overestimagted. For these reasons, we tried to compare the plasma paraquat concentrations with amount of paraquat described by patients or their families. Methods: We reviewed the medical records of 59 patients with acute paraquat poisoning from February 1998 through February 1999, the paraquat concentrations in plasma were measured at Presbyterian Medical Center by using high performance liquid chromatography. Results: There was a striking discrepancy between the plasma paraquat concentration and the ingested amount described by the patients or their families. Conclusion: We recommend that the plasma paraquat concentration be measured in patients being treated for acute paraquat poisoning.

        To investigate the antimicrobial effects of essential oil in the leaves of Chamaecyparis obtusa extractives by paper disc method, the extractives were fractionated into four portions. In antimicrobial test, essential oil in the leaves of Chamaecyparis obtusa was found to have strong inhibitory effects against the growth of Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus. A part of analyzed inhibition components of essential oil in the leaves of Chamaecyparis obtusa from GC-MS was supposed to be α,β-pinene, α-terpinolene, camphor, β-myrcene, 1-α-terpinolene, 4-thujen-2-α-yl, limonene, Cardinene.

        The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the level of urban living environment facilities in 10 cities, including 9 locations of the province office, and Mokpo city, the expectant hinterland of the Chonnam provincial office. For this purpose, this study analyzed the urban living environment facilities, according to 5 analysis indicators including traffic/transportation, urban space, distribution/supply, public culture, and health/sanitation, and according to each individual indicator. The results of this analysis can be summarized as follows. This study showed that as the provincial office is located, owing to the concentration of population, adminstration, and industry, urban diffusion has the negative influence upon the level of its urban living environment facilities, so that rather than the diffusion of urban scale, the establishment facilities, so that rather than the diffusion of urban scale, the establishment of its urban living environment facilities in its optimum scale is important.
