This study attempted to visually inspect eight hundred wood crafts collected from various countries. These include sculputures, toys, jewl cases, kitchen wares, candle holder and wooden vases, stationery, sport outfits and etc. The most impressive wood is Myrtlewood, a broadleaf evergreen which grows along the coastline of southern Oregon and northern Califonia. Myrtlewood possesses a wide variety of grove patterns. This unique wood varies in color from a deep, rich brown to silver grey, red and every yellow. Myrtlewood is being recognized as being one of the most beautiful hardwoods in the world.

Laminated lumber is an engineered wood products using stress rated, seasoned and selected lumber. Each piece of lumber is graded, and then end jointed to produce the required length. This study was carried out to investigate the possibility of wooden artifacts with laminated lumber. It is expected through this research that wooden artifacts, which have originality and local character, can be developed by making design of wooden artifacts through the use of plentiful resources around the local area. A development of new design products, an improvement of distributive structure and the achievement of international competitiveness will contribute to develop the industrial artifacts art in Korea. And, it is necessary to develop a corporation system between industrial craft companies and universities.

The primary goals revolve around efficiently creating space to foster a pleasant environment, focusing on comfort and functionality. The inclusion of wooden sculptures brings a distinctive essence and ambiance to indoor spaces. Beyond their artistic allure, these sculptures infuse the environment with a natural and organic feel, connecting individuals to the innate beauty of nature. As wooden sculptures are integrated into interior settings, the arrangement and display drastically alter the spatial dynamics. This transformation influences the overall atmosphere by blending technical and artistic elements, enhancing the space’s character. Manufacture for living supplies of Chestnut wood(Castanea crenata Sieb. et Zucc)

This study was carried out to manufacture wooden vessels by small diameter wood and wasted wood of Castanea crenata Sieb. et Zucc, which has been largely planted in southern area. We made spice set, tea box set, cookie vessel set, bowl set and accessory set. With the development of edged tools, the human species has been able to fashion wood to change and enhance its environment - one only has to look at the history of all cultures to see examples of wooden artifacts and structures. Even with the development of synthetic materials and the progress of automated, mechanized production of wood and wood products, the raw material is still processed by traditional methods to meet a never-ending demand for products made from this most desirable natural material. Chestnut wood has high added value and natural color grain and is very useful for wooden vessel. Thinned low grade trees can be used to produce wooden vessel. Therefore this result can promote thinning and produce good forestation. The scope of interior design today covers almost all buildings, including houses, offices, shops, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, cafes, department stores, beauty salons, clothing stores, factories, schools, etc. All buildings inhabited by humans. The materials most used as interior materials for interior construction are wood, stone, tiles, bricks, blocks, cement and concrete, metal materials, glass, painting materials, secret materials, waterproofing materials, plastic materials, wallpaper, carpets, curtains. and blinds and window materials. Although the durability aspect is considered a lot, and the lifespan issue is being paid a lot of attention, it is the design that cannot be discarded nonetheless. Since interest in interiors is increasing these days, the appearance and materials of buildings are also very important. Cork is starting to get a lot of attention as an interior material. Currently, the most widely used use of cork is a wine stopper. This is because it has the unique elasticity and waterproofness of cork. Cork is a material often used for interior accessories. Cork, with its unique texture, is attractive enough on its own, but can be used for insulation or room use. As a result of scanning microscopic analysis of wine cork and commercial cork, the difference in microstructure was not significant.
