Barrier Function Based Adaptive Global Sliding Mode Fault-tolerant Control of Quad-rotor UAV
Pu Yang,Peng Liu,HuiLin Geng,ChenWan Wen,Bin Jiang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2023 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.21 No.3
In this paper, Barrier function based adaptive global sliding mode fault-tolerant control and its application in quad-rotor UAV system are studied. Firstly, the global sliding mode surface is combined with Barrier function based adaptive sliding mode control, which omits the approach process of phase I of traditional Barrier adaptive sliding mode motion, thus improving the rapidity and accuracy of the algorithm. Secondly, the Barrier function adaptive law is used to adjust the gain of the switching term, so that the controller gain can change with the amplitude of the total disturbance in a timely and accurate manner, avoiding the overestimation problem and thus reducing the chattering of the control signal. Finally, the experimental results on the fault-tolerant control platform for multi-rotor UAVs prove the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed algorithm.

Berries of six Vitis davidii Foex (spine grape)cultivars (‘Baiputao’, ‘Gaoshan 1’, ‘Gaoshan 2’, ‘Seputao’,‘Miputao’, and ‘Tianputao’) were harvested from a commercialvineyard in Hunan Province in China. Free andbound volatile compounds and fatty acids were analyzedby GC–MS, and amino acids were analyzed by HPLC. ‘Tianputao’ and ‘Miputao’ were characterized by relativelyhigher concentrations of aromatic amino acids and lowerconcentrations of branched-chain amino acids. The majorfree volatile compounds of spine grapes were hexanal, (E)-2-hexenal, 1-hexanol, (E)-2-hexenol, (E)-b-damascenone,and benzeneacetaldehyde. The major glycosidically boundvolatile compounds identified were 1-hexanol, menthol, nerol, 1-butanol, 3-methyl-3-butenol, benzenemethanol, bphenylethanol, eugenol, and guaiacol. (E)-b-damascenone,benzeneacetaldehyde, guaiacol, and eugenol had odoractivity values (OAVs)[1 in all cultivar grapes. Partialleast squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) revealed‘Tianputao’ to be distinct from the other cultivars due to itsrelatively higher concentrations of major terpenoids, norisoprenoids, higher alcohols, and aromatic amino acids.

In this paper, we investigate the constructions of generalized bent Boolean functions defined on with values in Z4. We first present a construction of generalized bent Boolean functions defined on with values in Z4. The main technique is to utilize bent functions to derive generalized bent functions on odd number of variables. In addition, by using Boolean permutations, we provide a specific method to construct generalized bent functions on odd number of variables.

An analytical method was applied for quantitative determinations of the initial rate coefficients of diffusion and reaction for a photo-curable recipe in holographic photo-polymerization. The results showed that the initial diffusion rate kept within small discrepancy despite an order of magnitude difference in the curing light power, while corresponding differences were found for the decay constants of diffusion and reaction in the curing process. Polymerization kinetics was analyzed for both curing and post curing processes.

Background Observational studies have shown that the age of menarche is associated with sarcopenia, but confounding factors make the causal relationship difficult to infer. Objective Therefore, we conducted a bidirectional two-sample Mendelian randomized (MR) analysis to evaluate the potential causal relationship between age at menarche and sarcopenia-related traits (hand grip strength, lean mass, walking pace). Methods We obtained the latest aggregate statistics from the Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) database on the age of menarche of 182,416 participants from ReproGen, the appendicular lean mass of 244,730 participants from EMBL’s European Bioinformatics Institute, the left-hand grip strength of 401,026 participants, the right-hand grip strength of 461,089 participants and the usual walking pace of 459,915 participants from the UK Biobank. The inverse variance weighting (IVW) method and other MR methods were used to evaluate the bidirectional causal relationship between the age of menarche and sarcopenia. Results The forward MR results showed that the age of menarche predicted by the gene was positively correlated with left-hand grip strength (IVWβ=0.041, P = 2.00 × 10−10), right-hand grip strength (IVWβ=0.053, P = 1.97 × 10−18), appendicular lean mass (IVWβ=0.012, P = 4.38 × 10−13) and usual walking pace (IVWβ=0.033, P = 1.62 × 10−8).In the reverse MR analysis, we also found that the usual walking pace was positively correlated with the age of menarche predicted by genes (IVWβ=0.532, P = 1.65 × 10−4). Still, there was no causal relationship between grip strength and appendicular lean mass and the age at menarche. Conclusion Our results show that earlier menarche will increase the risk of sarcopenia. In addition, people with higher muscle function tend to have menarche later. These findings may provide a reference for prevention strategies and interventions for menarche in advance and sarcopenia.
Genome wide methylation analysis to uncover genes related to recurrent pregnancy loss
Lixia Zhou,Yudong Pu,Yuxun Zhou,Bin Wang,Ye Chen,Yang Bai,Shuzhen He 한국유전학회 2021 Genes & Genomics Vol.43 No.4
Background Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) refers to two or more consecutive spontaneous abortion before 24 weeks of gestation, representing 1% of couples of childbearing age. Epigenetic factors including dysregulation of DNA methylation of some genes may play a role in RPL. Objective To identify RPL related genes modulated by DNA methylation expressed in decidua and blood. Methods Three decidua samples each from RPL patients and normal controls were recruited to perform genome-wide bisulfte sequencing (GWBS) and transcriptome sequencing. Based on the above results, 22.52 kb of diferential methylation regions (DMRs) from 17 genes were verifed by bisulfte sequencing PCR at specifc region (Hi-MethylSeq) in another 15 decidua (7RPL vs. 8 Controls) and 13 blood (5RPL vs. 8 Controls) samples. Results 23 genes showed signifcantly diferential cytosine methylation status and distinct expression level between PRL patients and healthy controls synergistically. Three signaling pathways were found to be shared between genes with both hypomethylated diferential methylation regions (DMR) and upregulated diferential gene expression (DGE). The results from Hi-MethylSeq showed that the hypermethylation of SGK1 in both blood and decidua samples in RPL patients, which was consistent to its lower expression in endometrium reported earlier. SGK3 and CREB5 also showed modulated methylation level in RPL decidua. Conclusion Our fnding supported that aberrant methylation of SGK1 and CREB5 could be a cause of the dysregulation of these gens in the endometrium, which is one of cause of reproductive failure. The function of SGK3 in reproduction system deserves further investigation.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating role of communication ability on the relationship between collaborative self-regulation, self-efficacy, self-directed learning ability, and team efficacy perceived by foreign students in the process of participating in the learning community. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 24.0 programs. The analysis results can be summarized as follows. First, looking at the results of the path analysis on research question 1, First, cooperative self-regulation of foreign students had a significant influence on team efficacy. The positive effect of cooperative self-efficacy on team efficacy indicates that an individuals confidence in team activities can contribute to team motivation and performance. The positive effect of self-directed learning ability on team efficacy indicates that setting learning goals and active efforts for them are important to team success. Second, looking at the mediating results of research question 2, What is the mediating effect of communication ability in the process of cooperative self-regulation, cooperative self-efficacy, and self-directed learning ability of international students affecting team efficacy? The direct effect of cooperative self-regulation on team efficacy was 0.410, and the indirect effect through communication ability was 0.194. This is statistically significant, suggesting that the ability to control learning directly affects team success, and that communication ability plays an important role in this process. In addition, in the relationship between cooperative self-efficacy and team efficacy, the mediating effect of communication ability was confirmed to be 0.311, and the indirect effect was 0.119, which was also statistically significant. Through this analysis, we intend to find effective support methods to improve the learning community program for international students and improve learning outcomes.

We investigate the polarization effect in intersubband transitions in polar and nonpolar GaN-based multiple-quantum well (MQW) structures for terahertz (THz) emissions by using systematic comparisons and design a nonpolar GaN/Al$_{0.2}$Ga$_{0.8}$N two-well-based MQW structure with an emitting photon of 7.27 THz (30.07 meV). Its lower energy separation (92.7 meV) matches the resonant phonon depopulation condition for better population inversion. It shows a lower threshold current density $J\rm_{th}$ at all temperatures (1.548 kA/cm$^2$ at 90 K) and a higher output power of up to 86.1 mW at 5.8 K and 33.6 mW at 100 K. Our results for the polar GaN MQW are very close to the experimental data in the literature. We find that the $J\rm_{th}$ of the nonpolar GaN MQW increases more slowly than that of the polar GaN MQW as temperature increases, indicating the nonpolar GaN MQW may be a worth-trying direction for improving the operation temperature. These results can provide meaningful references for the design and fabrication of nonpolar GaN-based THz MQW or quantum cascade structures.
