Methodology of uncertainty analysis prediction based on multi-well data fusion

        Huan Jie Zhang,Kai Wei,Alain P. Tchameni,G. Ben-Kane 한국자원공학회 2018 Geosystem engineering Vol.21 No.3

During drilling activities, geological parameters of a well to be drilled (target well) can be predicted within a limited interval based on multi-well data fusion which aims at ensuring a drilling safety, enhancement of drilling efficiency, reduction of drilling cost as well as acquiring accurate measurements in respect to Oil and Gas protection layers. This work presents a method of uncertainty analysis prediction of pressures using fusion data (formation pressures) from adjacent multi-well. The Eaton method, effective stress theory, and mathematical confidence interval were the various methods used to establish the formation pressure matrix of the target well. The results revealed that due to the complexity and variability of the formations, data interpretation errors of the geological parameters were inevitable. Therefore, the probability density distribution function was established through stratigraphy, probability statistics, and information diffusion. Moreover, the real value of the wells’ formation pressure (target well) was within the distribution interval of multi-well data fusion. Hence, the developed method cannot only effectively reduce the interval of geological parameter of the target well but also enhance the accuracy of parameters prediction.

'近代指向'의 西洋藝術에서 오리엔탈리즘의 意味에 관한 硏究 : 19세기 서양예술의 일본 취향, '자포니즘(Japonism)'을 중심으로 Focused on 'Japonism', Japanese Inclination of the West in the 19th

        오장환 대한건축학회 2004 대한건축학회논문집 Vol.20 No.12

In the late 19th, the influence of Orientalism in the West was evaluated as a great meaning related to Modernity Accordingly, this study invested how great interest on the Oriental arts had been taken by the avant-garde 'toward Modern', including Art Nouveau artists, and what means their artistic imitative reproduction on that Moreover, in case of architects, especially F L Wright who had close ties with Japanese culture, this try to reveal what's the role and meaning of Japonism will be significant As a result, Oriental arts, especially Japanese arts helped the Western artists become self-conscious about their conventional style, and made them begin to an experiment, that is, the artistic Orientalism including Japanese prints was one of instances which gave a lesson in elimination of the insignificant, especially valuable to the West who pursued an expression of new art departed from the western classical tradition Orientalism influenced ultimately to the formation of modernity toward 'Abstraction'

      • Bevacizumab Regulates Cancer Cell Migration by Activation of STAT3

        Wu, Huan-Huan,Zhang, Shuai,Bian, Huan,Li, Xiao-Xu,Wang, Lin,Pu, Yin-Fei,Wang, Yi-Xiang,Guo, Chuan-Bin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.15

There are numerous clinical cases indicating that long-term use of bevacizumab may increase the invasiveness of tumors. However, to date, little is known about underlying molecular mechanisms. Therefore, the purpose of our study was to investigate effects of bevacizumab in four cancer cells lines (WSU-HN6, CAL27, Tca83, and HeLa). It was found to promote migration and invasion in the WSU-HN6 and Tca83 cases, while exerting inhibitory effects in CAL27 and HeLa cells. The signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) 3 inhibitors niclosamide and S3I-201 inhibited the STAT3 signal pathway, which is activated by bevacizumab. These inhibitors also substantially blocked bevacizumab-induced migration of WSU-HN6 and Tca83 cells. Bevacizumab upregulated interleukin (IL)-6 and phosphorylated (p)-STAT3 expression time-dependently. Therefore, we propose that bevacizumab has differential effects on the migration of different cancer cell lines and promotes migration via the IL-6/STAT3 signaling pathway.

Advanced Gastric Cancer and Perfusion Imaging Using a Multidetector Row Computed Tomography: Correlation with Prognostic Determinants

        Huan Zhang,Zilai Pan,Lianjun Du,Chao Yan,Bei Ding,Qi Song,Huawei Ling,Kemin Chen 대한영상의학회 2008 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.9 No.2

Objective: To investigate the relationship between the perfusion CT features and the clinicopathologically determined prognostic factors in advanced gastric cancer cases. Materials and Methods: A perfusion CT was performed on 31 patients with gastric cancer one week before surgery using a 16-channel multi-detector CT (MDCT) instrument. The data were analyzed with commercially available software to calculate tumor blood flow (BF), blood volume (BV), mean transit time (MTT), and permeability surface (PS). The microvessel density (MVD), was evaluated by immunohistochemical staining of the surgical specimens with anti- CD34. All of the findings were analyzed prospectively and correlated with the clinicopathological findings, which included histological grading, presence of lymph node metastasis, serosal involvement, distant metastasis, tumor, node, metastasis (TNM) staging, and MVD. The statistical analyses used included the Student’s t-test and the Spearman rank correlation were performed in SPSS 11.5. Results: The mean perfusion values and MVD for tumors were as follows: BF (48.14 16.46 ml/100 g/min), BV (6.70 2.95 ml/100 g), MTT (11.75 4.02 s), PS (14.17 5.23 ml/100 g/min) and MVD (41.7 11.53). Moreover, a significant difference in the PS values was found between patients with or without lymphatic involvement (p = 0.038), as well as with different histological grades (p = 0.04) and TNM stagings (p = 0.026). However, BF, BV, MTT, and MVD of gastric cancer revealed no significant relationship with the clinicopathological findings described above (p > 0.05). Conclusion: The perfusion CT values of the permeable surface could serve as a useful prognostic indicator in patients with advanced gastric cancer. Molecular cloning and RNA interference analysis of β-N-acetylglucosaminidase in Mamestra brassicae L.

        Huan Zhang,Kuijun Zhao,Dong Fan 한국응용곤충학회 2016 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.19 No.3

β-N-acetylglucosaminidase plays an important role in insect chitin degradation. In this study, a novel cDNA sequence encoding β-N-acetylglucosaminidase (MbNAG) was cloned from cabbage moth, Mamestra brassicae L. The cDNA sequence, which was 2445 bp in length, contained an open reading frame of 1782 bp coding for a polypeptide of 594 amino acid residues. The MbNAG open reading frame was cloned into the pET-21b prokaryotic expression vector, and then over-expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3) cells. After purification and renaturation, the β-N-acetylglucosaminidase enzymatic activity was detected. Transcript analyses on MbNAG sequence during different developmental stages and in specific tissues were carried out by RT-qPCR. The MbNAG mRNA level was significantly higher of the second day in the prepupal stage than at any other time and occurred mainly in the midguts and salivary glands compared with in other tissues, including fat bodies, integuments, malpighian tubules, foreguts and hindguts during the feeding stage of the 5th instar larvae. The highest expression level of MbNAG mRNA occurred 48 h after an in vivo injection of 20-hydroxyecdysone. RNA interference reduced the MbNAG mRNA expression level 60% at 48 h and 67% at 72 h, respectively, and induced both abnormal molting phenotypes and a high mortality rate in M. brassicae larvae. These results suggest that MbNAG plays an essential

Blooms of the woloszynskioid dinoflagellate Tovellia diexiensis sp. nov. (Dinophyceae) in Baishihai Lake at the eastern edge of Tibetan Plateau

        Zhang, Qi,Zhu, Huan,Hu, Zhengyu,Liu, Guoxiang The Korean Society of Phycology 2016 ALGAE Vol.31 No.3

Freshwater red tides due to dinoflagellates have caused spectacular and regular “summer reddening” in recent years in Baishihai Lake, a temperate, meromictic, meso- or oligotrophic, high-altitude, landslide-dammed, deep lake located at the eastern edge of Tibetan Plateau in China. Based on morphological and molecular analyses, the causative organism has been identified as a new woloszynskioid dinoflagellate, Tovellia diexiensis Q. Zhang et G. X. Liu sp. nov. The vegetative cells are 20-32 μm long and 16-24 μm wide. They have a hemispherical episome and a broadly rounded hyposome with a short characteristic antapical spine. Usually cells are bright red due to the presence of numerous red-pigmented bodies, which often masked the yellowish green discoid chloroplasts. The amphiesma of motile cells comprise mainly quadrilateral, pentagonal or hexagonal thin plates, arranged in 4-5 latitudinal series on the episome, 1 in the cingulum and 4 on the hyposome. Molecular phylogenies based on small subunit ribosomal DNA and large subunit ribosomal DNA (LSU) indicate T. diexiensis from Baishihai Lake to belong to the family Tovelliaceae, which was monophyletic in our LSU phylogenies. During the bloom-forming period in 2005, cell density of T. diexiensis reached 9.15 × 105 cells L−1. Astaxanthin and its diester were found to be the major pigments in T. diexiensis, resulting in a characteristic blood-red color of the water in Baishihai Lake.

Effects of boron source composition ratio on the microstructure and adsorption performance of hexagonal boron nitride prepared by template method

        Zhang Ning,Liu Huan,Zhang Tianwen,Kan Hongmin,Wang Xiaoyang,Cui Xingyu 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2016 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.17 No.3

The paper was prepared spherical hexagonal boron nitride with different microstructures under flowing ammoniaatmosphere. The effect of boron source component ratios (molar ratio of borax and boric acid) on the phase composition ofthe sample were studied: the work also explored the effect of boron source component ratio on the microstructure andadsorption performance of h-BN. Spherical hexagonal boron nitride had corresponding to shell structure, mesoporousstructure, and solid structure when the ratio of boron source components respectively was 1 : 0.5, 1 : 1, and 1 : 2. Between 1 : 1and 1:0.5, the former had an lower adsorptions at low relative pressures. On the contrary, the adsorption of former wouldincreased at higher relative pressures and reached up 276.02 cm3 g−1, and the maximum adsorption of the latter reached only228.20 cm3 g−1. Under any relative pressure, the adsorption capacity was the lowest when the boron source composition ratiowas 1 : 2.

Security Performance Analysis of DF Cooperative Relay Networks over Nakagami-m Fading Channels

( Huan Zhang ),( Hongjiang Lei ),( Imran Shafique Ansari ),( Gaofeng Pan ),( Khalid A. Qaraqe ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2017 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.11 No.5

In this paper, we investigate the security performance for cooperative networks over Nakagami-m fading channels. Based on whether the channel state information (CSI) of wiretap link is available or not, optimal relay selection (ORS) and suboptimal relay selection (SRS) schemes are considered. Also, multiple relays combining (MRC) scheme is considered for comparison purpose. The exact and asymptotic closed-form expressions for secrecy outage probability (SOP) are derived and simulations are presented to validate the accuracy of our proposed analytical results. The numerical results illustrate that the ORS is the best scheme and SRS scheme is better than MRC scheme in some special scenarios such as when the destination is far away from the relays. Furthermore, through asymptotic analysis, we obtain the closed-form expressions for the secrecy diversity order and secrecy array gain for the three different selection schemes. The secrecy diversity order is closely related to the number of relays and fading parameter between relay and destination.
