Three dogs which show clinical signs of cystic calculi with anorexia, hematuria, stranguria, dribbling of urine, and pain in posterior abdomen, were referred, and diagnosed as cystic calculi by radiography and ultrasonography. Removal of urinary cystic calculi was performed by urinary cystotomy. Calculi, removed surgically, were analyzed chemically and microscolically. Calculi from three patient dogs were calcium carbonate in all. After the removal of calculi recurrence of urolith were not observed up to nowadays for about 4-10 months.

In this paper, applications of adaptive fuzzy controller to position control of flexible beam are considered. When a flexible beam is rotated by a motor through the fixed end, transverse vibration may occur. The architecture and learning underlying adaptive networks based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is presented, which is a fuzzy inference system implemented in the framework of adaptive networks. By using a hybrid learning procedure, the proposed ANFIS can construct an input-output mapping based on both human knowledge and stipulated input-output data pairs. Therefor, a dynamic model for a flexible beam is derived, and then a comparative analysis was made with before learning and after learning adaptive fuzzy controller through an simulation. The results are presented to illustrate the advantages and improved performance of the proposed position control cver the after learning adaptive fuzzy controller.

The purpose of the study was to undertaken to analysis the Grab starting technique between national representive team(3) and Cheju's representive team(3) with 3D cinematography. The conclusions obtained were as follows: Cheju's showed more elapsed time than national representive team on starting block. and more vertical than horizontal direction of COG position, more concentrated vertical velocity & acceleration than forward direction. Therefore It is necessory for cheju's to train balanced trust force in horizontal and vertical direction in grab starting technique.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We present a method for functionalization of single-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with amine-terminated dendrimers encapsulating catalytic nanoparticles, and demonstrate the feasibility of functionalized CNTs as efficient field-effect transistor (FET)-sensing platforms. As a model system, we synthesized Pt dendrimer-encapsulated nanoparticles (DENs) using amine-terminated sixth-generation poly(amidoamine) dendrimers, and functionalized CNT-based FET channels with Pt DENs via electro-oxidative grafting of the terminal amines of dendrimers onto the surface of CNTs. We also demonstrated spatially-controlled surface functionalization of CNTs and subsequent modification of the functionalized CNT-based FET channels with glutamate oxidases for efficient FET-based sensing of glutamates. Our approach could facilitate the functionalization of CNTs with a variety of catalytic nanoparticles and biologically active materials, enabling the development of sensitive and selective FET-based sensor devices.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Electrochemical functionalization of swCNTs was achieved via electrografting of amine-terminated dendrimers encapsulating nanoparticles. </LI> <LI> Functionalized swCNTs improved the water wettability of CNT-based FET channels on hydrophobic FET substrates. </LI> <LI> Spatially-controlled surface functionalization of swCNTs with dendrimers was demonstrated. </LI> <LI> The functionalized CNT-based FET can be modified further with enzymes by crosslinking to the terminal amine groups of the grafted dendrimers. </LI> <LI> The functionalized CNT-based FET provides a powerful platform for the development of high-performance integrated FET sensors. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Effect of Midazolam, Fentanyl and Propofol for Intravenous Anesthesia in Patients Undergoing the Cardioversion Mee Young Chung, M.D., Jun Seuk Chea, M.D., Chang Jae Kim, M.D. Hee Yeol Kim, M.D.^*, Eun Ju Cho, M.D.^*, Hee Sang Park, M.D. and Byung Ho Lee, M.D. Department of Anesthesiology and ^*Cardiology Division, Department of Internal Medicine, College of Medicine, Catholic University, Seoul, Korea Background: Elective cardioversion is a short procedure performed under amnesia, sedation or anesthesia for the treatment of cardiac dysrhythmia. Midazolam, fentanyl and propofol on hemodynamic changes and side effects were studied. Methods: Thirty patients scheduled for an elective cardioversion in the coronary care unit received propofol 500 ㎍/kg I.V., followed by a continuous infusion with 25-75 ㎍/kg/min until they lost consciousness as as determined by cessation of response to verbal command. All patients received mi-dazolam 0.02 mg/kg and fentanyl 2 ㎍/kg I.V. 5 minutes before induction In addition, the cardiologist administrated the electric shock. Blood pressures and heart rates were measured prior to induction, after the administration of midazolam and fentanyl, after cardioversion, 5 minutes after cardioversion and recovery. The recovery time from termination drug administration to awakening, and the total dose of propofol were recorded. Patients were observed for side effects. Results: Systolic, mean, and diastolic blood pressures were significantly decreased 5 minutes after cardioversion and recovery. Heart rates were significantly decreased after cardioversion, 5 minutes after cardioversion and recovery. Recovery times were 22.1 ?? 14.9 minutes and the total dose of propofol was 0.79 ?? 0.39 mg/kg. Incidence of apnea (> 30 s) was 30%. Conclusions: We concluded that midazolam, fentanyl and propofol in patients undergoing an electric cardioversion decreased blood pressure and heart rate, but the cardiovascular status was maintained within clinically acceptable levels. 분산시스템 지원을 위한 그룹 RPC프로토콜의 설계와 검증

RPC(Remote Procedure Call) is one of the very popular protocol in distributed application design. In this paper, we are proposed the HGRPC(Hierarchical Group Remote Procedure Call) based on the Hierarchical Group Communication management for improve the userability of RPC. Also, in HGRPC, an architecture of a monitor processor(MonP) is presented for distributed network management system managing communication network for distributed system, specially for overlapping domain management. Based on these MonP and hierarchical communication management concepts, we can reduce the communication load on communication network. Our proposed protocol has been verified by the Petri nets.
