        돼지에서 CO2 laser와 외과용 수술도를 이용한 위 절개 시 창상 치유 평가

        We compared wound healing with CO2 laser incision and scalpel incision by measuring the extent of bleeding, the ease of incision, time, degrees of adhesion and histological observation in pig's stomach. Eight healthy pigs were used. Two symmetrical incisions were made in ventral aspect of the stomach between the greater curvature and lesser curvature were made with scalpel and 2 mm spot diameter CO2 laser (8W, continuous wave) in eight pigs. And then each wound was closed with absorbable suture in a two-layer inverting seromuscular pattern. At 7 and 14days after initial wounding, each wound was taken for histological observation. On surgery, the extent of bleeding,the ease of incision and incision time showed significant differences between the two groups. The CO2 laser provided better hemostasis (p < 0.01) and smaller postoperative adhesion compared with the scalpel. However, the scalpel produced faster speed of incision and was easier to handle than the CO2 laser group (p < 0.01). There was no considerable difference between the two groups in histological observation.

        원숭이에서 피부 창상 치유에 대한 키토산의 효과

        The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of implanted chitosan applied to surgically created wound in Japanese Macaque monkeys. 4 healthy Japanese Macaque monkeys were used. A 4 cm straight skin incision was made and undermined skin (4 × 4 cm) over on the 2 monkeys both sides of the dorsal midline, and a 4 cm circular skin incision was made on 2 monkeys both sides of the dorsal midline. One wound (left side) was implanted 1 mg (straight incision) and daily 0.2 mg (circular incision) of cotton type chitosan and the other wounds were treated with normal saline (3 ml) in monkeys. Each straight wound was closed with two interrupted sutures of 2-0 sutures. The monkey's circular skin incision is opened. At 14 days after initial wounding, each wound was taken for histological observations in monkeys. The inflammatory cells in the chitosan group are observed less than the control group, the collagen and the fibrin in the chitosan are observed more than the control group in monkeys. So the wound healing is moderately enhanced for chitosan treatment. The fibroblasts and the capillaries increased for chitosan treatment. The treatment of chitosan in wound is to promote healing.

        개의 Ethylene glycol 중독 진단을 위한 임상 및 초음파학적 연구

        This study was performed to evaluate the ultrasonographic findings of ethylene glycol intoxication. Ten healthy mongrel dogs which was administered with ethylene glycol, were evaluated in terms of clinical findings, hematological findings, blood chemistry, and ultrasonographic and histopathological findings of kidney. The results obtained through these experiment could be summarized as follows : 1. Typical clinical symptoms such as vomiting, initial apprehension, depression, thirst, dehydration, tremor, anorexia, hematuria, anuria, weakness, weight loss, flaccid paralysis, tachypnea, coma, and death, were revealed after administration of ethylene glycol. 2. Special symptom of bloody diarrhea was occurred by administration of ethylene glycol. 3. After administration of ethylene glycol, PCV was decreased continuously(p<0.01), and total leukocyte count was increased gradually, revealed the highest value at day 5 and thereafter decreased. 4. Remarkable changes of ultrasonographic findings such as high echo intensity of renal parenchyma and emergence of halo in corticomedullary junction, were revealed after administration of ethylene glycol. Early(hour 8) enlargement and late(day 3) enlargement were observed in kidney(p<0.01). Especially, late enlargement was observed concurrently with the elevation of BUN and creatinine values. 5. Calcium oxalate crystals, metabolites of ethylene glycol, were observed in histopathologic findings of kidney. Also, degeneration and necrotic exfoliation of epithelial cells were recognized in addtion to swelling of renal tubules.

      • 돼지에서 창상치유에 대한 키토산의 영향

        The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of implanted chitosan applied to surgically created wound in pigs. Six healthy 2∼3 months old Landrace and Yorkshire mixed breeds of both genders were used. A 2 cm straight skin incision was made and undermined skin (2×2cm) over on the each pig's both sides of dorsal midline at 0, 7. 14 and 18 days. One wound (left side) was implanted 0.4 mg of cotton type chitosan and other wound was treated saline (3ml). Each wound was closed with two interrupted suture of 2-0 sutures. The wounds created at 18. 14.7 and 0 days were named post-wounding day (PWD) 3, 7, 14 and 21, respectively. At 21 days after initial wounding, each wound was taken for histological observations. Reepithelialization tended to be greater in the chitosan group than in the control group at PWD 3 and 14. Granulation tissue formation did not show especial differences in two groups. Number of inflammatory cells was lesser statistically in level in the chitosan group than those in the control group at 21 days after wounding (p<0.05). Fibroblasts and neovasculature tended to be greater in the chitosan group than in the control group at PWD 3 and 7, and tended to be lesser in the chitosan group than in the control group at PWD 14 and 21. Collagen and fibrin were observed to be evenly distributed around the wound in the chitosan group. But collagen and fibrin were observed to be converged along the wound in the control group.

        한우에서 비장의 초음파상

        소에서 비장의 초음파상에 관한 기초자료를 확립하기 위하여 본 연구를 실시하였다. 한우 9두에서 6개월령으로부터 12개월령에 도달할 때까지 1개월 간격으로 성장에 따른 비장의 초음파상을 측정하였다. 비장은 좌측 제8, 9, 10, 11 및 12 늑간에서 관찰하였으며, 각 늑간극에서 비장의 배측변연, 복측변연 및 두께의 측정하였다. 본 연구에서의 초음파측정 결과는 한우에서의 비장의 형태학적 변화의 진단을 위한 참고자료가 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

        Two Beagle dogs were examined by ultrasonography to get detailed informations about the normal size and texture of abdominal organs. Ultrasonographic examination of liver, gallbladder, stomach, duodenum, spleen, kidney and urinary bladder was performed on the abdomen in dorsal recumbency. The ultrasonographic values in this study can be used as reference for the diagnosis of changes in abdominal organs of Beagle dog.

        This study was performed to determine the ultrasonographic appearance of the reticulum in the cattle according to the intake of foreign body. Metal balls, magnets, gravels and rubber were administered to a 13 months old female Korean native cattle. After foreign bodies in the reticulum were ascertained, foreign bodies were observed by ultrasonography. The ultrasonographic values in this study can be used as reference for the diagnosis of foreign body of the reculum in cattle.

        개에서 사료섭취 및 조영제 투여에 따른 위, 유문부 및 십이지장의 초음파상

        The purpose of this study is to determine the changes of ultrasonographic appearance of stomach, pylorus and duodenum in relation to food intake and administration of contrast medium in dogs. Ultrasonograms were obtained with 5.0MHz sector transducer. After placing the dogs in dorsal recumbency, scanning was performed at the 8th intercostal space. The mean inner diameter of stomach immediately after food intake, 2, 4 and 6 hours was 47.9, 51.5, 46.8 and 40.6mm, respectively. The diameter of pylorus immediately after food intake, 2, 4 and 6 hours was 7.4, 9.7, 8.9 and 6.0mm, respectively(p<0.01). The diameter of duodenum immediately after food intake 2, 4 and 6 hours was 12.5, 7.9, 11.9 and 11.8mm, respectively(p<0.01). Before administration of contrast medium, the mean inner diameter of stomach, pylorus and duodenum was 38.6, 7.2 and 9.5mm, respectively. After administration of contrast medium, the diameters of stomach, pylorus and duodenum was 42.8, 7.7 and 9.9mm, respectively. It may be concluded that the ultrasonographic values determined in this study can be used as references for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal disease in dogs.

        Succinylcholine Chloride의 근이완에 대한 Yohimbine의 회복효과

        This study was carried to get detailed information about the analeptic effect of yohimbine on succinylcholine muscle relaxant. Succinylcholine was administered intra- venously at a dose rate of 0.05 mg per kg of body weight and then ten minutes after the succinylcholine injection, yohimbine was administered intravenously at a dose rate of 0.1 mg per kg of body weight. The results obtained were as follows. 1. Induction time of muscle relaxation was fast and favourable as 38 seconds. 2. Mean arousal time and mean walk time were significantly shortened by yohimbine administration in the dogs immobilized with succinylcholine (p<0.01). 3. Heart rate was slightly increased after succinylcholine administration, and increased significantly after yohimbine administration compared to the control group (p<0.05). 4. Glucose concentration was slightly increased after succinylcholine administration, and decreased after yohimbine administration compared to the control group.
