A Dynamic Search Range Algorithm for Stabilized Reduction of Memory Traffic in Video Encoder

<P>Embedded compression is commonly employed in a video codec to reduce the data traffic to/from off-chip frame memory. We proposed a method for maintaining the memory bandwidth requirement at a significantly reduced level through dynamic search range adjustment for the motion estimation based on the observed relationship between the compression ratio and the motion vector. This, together with the so-called “center moving” to adjust the newly incoming macroblocks, helped significantly lower the requirement of the memory bandwidth without a fluctuation. Experimental results have shown that the memory bandwidth requirement can be finally stabilized to 20% of that of the full search. The image quality degradation was merely 0.02 dB.</P>

<P>Cu<SUB>2</SUB>ZnSnS<SUB>4</SUB> (CZTS) nanoparticles were synthesized by sonochemical reactions under multibubble sonoluminescence (MBSL) conditions. First, Cu<SUB>2</SUB>SnS<SUB>3</SUB> (CTS) nanoparticles were synthesized by the sonochemical method with a 91.3% yield. Second, ZnS was coated on Cu<SUB>2</SUB>SnS<SUB>3</SUB> nanoparticles by the same method. Then, they were transformed into CZTS nanoparticles of 90–300 nm diameter by heating them at 450 °C for 1 hour. The ratios between Zn and Sn could be controlled from 0.20 to 1.32 by adjusting the relative concentrations of Cu<SUB>2</SUB>SnS<SUB>3</SUB> and ZnCl<SUB>2</SUB>. With relatively lower Zn : Sn ratios (0.20–0.41), there was a mixture of CTS and CZTS nanoparticles. The prepared nanoparticles show different band gaps from 1.19 to 1.52 eV depending on the zinc to tin ratio. In this sonochemical method without using any toxic or high temperature solvents, the specific stoichiometric element ratios in CZTS were controllable on demand and their experimental results were always reproducible in separate syntheses. 중국 공산당의 당성 담론을 통한 위기관리 분석 : 코로나19 위기 상황을 중심으로

본 연구는 코로나19 위기상황 속 중국 공산당이 당의 권위와 통치 정당성을 강화하기 위해 공산당원의 당에 대한 충성심을 강화시키는 당성담론을 동원했다고 주장한다. 중국 공산당의 당성담론 동원 메커니즘을 분석하기 위해 코로나19 위기상황이 고조되었던 2020년 1월부터 4월까지 중국 공산당의 정치 연설문과 통지문 그리고 당 기관지의 사설과 논평에 대한 비판적 담론 분석을 진행하였다. 본 연구가 제시하는 바는 첫째 당성 담론이 당원과 간부의 이념적인 무장을 강화시켰으며, 둘째 중국 공산당을 비판하는 여론을 통제하였다는 것이다. 끝으로 중국 공산당이 동원한 당성 담론에 대한 평가와 당성 담론이 향후 중국 정치에 미칠 영향을 분석해 보았다. This study argues the CCP(Chinese Communist Party) mobilized the discourse of party spirit to reinforce the authority and legitimacy amid the COVID-19 crisis. How did the party mobilized the discourse of party spirit? What’s the key mechanism of the discourse? What is the major influence on Chinese politics? To answer these questions, this study analyzes Chinese leaders’ speech, announcement and 'the editorial and comment of the CCP’s official media' from January to April 2020, when the COVID-19 crisis situation escalated. This study suggests two aspects of the discourse of party spirit: First the process of ideological indoctrination of the cadre and communist member; Second the mechanism of regulating critical public opinion. In conclusion, this study argues the discourse of party spirit will exist as a vital political apparatus reinforcing the CCP's authority and legitimacy.

This paper will read about a multichannel frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar sensor with switching transmit (TX) antennas is developed at W-band. To achieve a high angular resolution, a uniform linear array consisting of 5 switching-TX and 12 receive (RX) antennas is employed with the digital beamforming technique. The overall radar front-end module comprises a W-band transceiver and TX/RX antennas. A multichannel transceiver module consists of 5 up-conversion and 12 down-conversion channels, where one of the TX channels is sequentially switched ON. For developing transmitter, we developed an HPA (high power amplified) MMIC chip for W-band radar system and fabricated a transmitter module using this chip. In order to develop the W-band transmitter, we analyzed the important antenna transition structure from HPA MMIC line to W/G (Waveguide)antenna via M/S(microstrip) and fabricated it with 5 transmission channels. As a result, the output power of the transmitter was within 1 dB of the error range after analysis and measurement under normal temperature and environmental conditions.
