        한국 초·중·고등학생들의 측두하악장애 유병상태와 악안면외상과의 관련성

        The purpose of this population-based epidemiologic study was to clarify the tempromandibular disorders prevalence, the maxillofacial trauma experience rate and the relation between maxillofacial truma and tempromandibular discorders in 6-14 and 16 years old korean children who were selected through the stratified random sampling method. the results are as follows; 1. The prevalence of tempromandibular clicking sounds was 1.28% in elementary students, 11.05% in middle school students, 20.07% in high school students, with an overall 6.30%. The result of the statistical test showed that girls experienced more tempromandibular clicking sounds than boys(p<0.05). 2. The prevalence of tempromandibular pain was 0.51% in elementary students, 1.95% in middle school students, 7.04% in high school students, with an overall 20.07%. 3. The prevalence in mouth opening limitation was 0.04% in elementary students, 1.36% in middle school students, 5.85% in high school students, with an overall 1.06%. 4. The percentage of treatment experience for the tempromandibular disorders was 0.00% in elementary students, 0.77% in middle school students, 2.12% in high school students, with an overall 0.46% 5. The maxillofacial trauma experience rate was 5.45% in elementary students, 9.11% in middle school students, and 11.89% in high school students, with an overall 7.22%. Males experienced more maxillofacial trauma than females(p<0.01), and urban students experienced more than rural students)p<0.05). 6. The results of the relation betwwen maxillofacial trauma and tempromandibuar disorders showed there were statistically significant realtionship between the tempromandibular experience and the clicking sound(odds ratio 1.86), and between the maxillofacial trauma and tempromandibular disorders(odds ratio 1.79).

      • 중학생들의 과학적 사고 수준과 교과서 생물 분야의 탐구활동에서 요구하는 사고수준의 분석

        The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between junior high school students' reasoning level and thinking pattern of biology inquiry activities in their science textbook. Students' scientific reasoning abilities were investigated by the Lawson's Scientific Reasoning Group Test which was adminstered to 725 junior high school students. Four hundred and sixty-four inquiry activities excerpted from 8 science textbooks were analyzed by the profile of reasoning patterns which were composed of sub-categories of empirical-inductive reasoning and hypothetico-deductive reasoning patterns. The results of this study showed that 38.9 percentiles of all subjects were categorized as empirical-inductive reasoner and 29.1 percentiles were hypothetico-deductive reasoner. Although the percentile of hypothetico-deductive reasoner was increased from the 7th to the 8th grades, the result showed it was decreased from the 8th to the 9th grades which provided another positive evidence for Kwon's theory of the spurt-and-plateau pattern of reasoning development. In addition, the result showed that 86.4 percentiles of all inquiry activities were revealed as empirical-inductive reasoning pattern and 13.6 percentiles were turn in revealed as hypothetico-deductive reasoning pattern. Even the percentile of hypothetical-deductive reasoning pattern of inquiry activities was increased from the 7th to 9th grades, it was lower than the percentiles of students' hypothetico-deductive reasoning level.

      • 壓縮性 粘土地盤의 支持力에 관한 연구

        Bearing capacity failure occurs usually as a shear failure of the soil supporting the footing. The three principal modes of shear failure under foundation has been described as general shear failure, local shear failure, and punching shear fuilure. Generally the failure mode depends on the relative compressibility of the soil, geometrical and loading conditions and in-situ condition. Strictly speaking, the ultimate bearing capacity equation can be applied to the incompressible soil or to the general shear failure mode. In pratice, however, soil is compressible. In this paper, the characteristics of bearing capacity, penetration depth and state of equilibrium is studied on the very compressible soil through model test. Results are as follows. 1) In soft clay layer which causes punching shear failure, it is inappropriate to predict the penetration depth or to compute the bearing capacity using the formula assumed general shear failure. 2) In case of the same distribution load, the bearing capacity factor(N_(c)) increases with the width of the footing for the same relative depth(D/B), with the decreasing of the water content, with the loading velocity. 3) In case that the relative depth(D/B) is less than 1~3, the skin friction and the soil weight over the footing base (γD) can be neglected. 4) In case the relative depth from the rigid base is less than 3~7, the equilibrium state is under the influence of the rigid base.

        The paper considers a cell allocation problem in the Mobile Wireless Communication Network with limited capacity of Base Switching Center(BSC) and Mobile Switching Center(MSC), and the aim is assigning cells to BSC and MSC for supporting an efficient handoff and reducing the cabling cost. The cell assignment problem is formulated as a mixed integer programming, and a genetic algorithm is developed to derive the optimal solution. A verity of numerical problems are presented and then some interesting properties are exploited that are useful for charactering the problem.

        (1) Saccharogenic amylase formation was markedly promoted to 100% by the addition of 0.5% CMC (carboxymethylcellulose) and shaking culture was superior to a solid culture for this Rhizopus delemar. (2) It was seen that this effect of promotion was increased when cellulase producing was started.

        노인틀니 보험급여를 위한 건강보험재정추계연구

        The purpose of this study is to estimate the National Health Insurance budget needed for the Korean elderly's denture service coverage. For more exact estimating the budget, denture need and demand were calculated by using 2000 National Oral Health Survey data. The results were summarized as follows ; 1. Over 65 years old, full denture and partial denture need per arch were each 8.5% and 16.8%. And over 70 years old, those were each 11.3% and 17.8%. 2. Over 65 years old, full denture and partial denture demand per arch were each 22.8% and 21.2%. And over 70 years old, those were each 27.%% and 21.1%. 3. Based on the denture need, the health insurance budget needed in the first operative year was about 955.4 billion won, over 65 years old and about 644.2 billion won, over 70 years old. 4. Based on the denture demand(wear), the health insurance budget needed in the first operative year was about 207.5 billion won, over 65 years old and was about 151.6 billion won, over 70 years old. If health insurance policy of elderly's denture service coverage is performed, actual denture wear rate is going to increase, and the budget needed is also increasing. Because current National Health Insurance budget status is poor, it is difficult to execute health insurance coverage for elderly's denture service. Therefore we suggest that health insurance coverage for preventive service is to be considered in order to reducing denture need in the long term view.

      • 醱酵食品添加物의 能力 및 安全性確認 硏究 : -第二報 乳酸菌製劑食品의 活性能力試驗- -PartⅡ Activity Test of Lactic Acid Bacterial Food and Drugs-

        This work was carried out to investigate the acid producing activity, tolerance and other important characteristics of the strains isolated from the market yogurt drinks (fermented milk or fomented milk drinks) and lactic bacterial drugs (control agent of entero-bacteria). And obtained results were as in the followings. 1. Almost of the strains isolated from market yogurt drinks were identified as Lactobacillus bulgaricus and two of them were Lactobacillus acidophillus. The specially aerobic strains isolated from lactic acid bacterial drugs were identified as Bacillus subtilis and anaerobics were Clostridium butylicum, Sporolactobacillus inulinus, Streptococcus faecalis and Bifidobacterium bifidum. 2. Concentration of active lactic acid bacteria of the market yogurt drinks was found almost as same level, and decreasing tendency of the concentration was commonly seen in every samples during hot summer (high temperature over 35℃). Acid producing activity of some stronger strains continued for 10 days and weak strains for 6 days in summer. 3. During 6 months of the test period, not any contamination case of pathogenic enter-obacteria was found in market yogurt drink samples. 4. But yeast contamination was so aboundantly seen that the ratio of contaminated case was attained to about 20% in fermented milk and to 80% in fermented drink samples. 5. Maximum acid production of the strains isolated from market yogurt drinks was attained to almost 2.0%, but that of the strains from tactic acid bacterial drugs was less than 0.7% except the Str. faecalis strain. 6. Curd forming and acid producing activities of both L. bulgaricus strains and L. acidophillus strains were almost as same level. And the activities continued for 15 days at temperature of 5℃ and pH of 4.0, but for 7 days at high temperature of 35℃. 7. In high temperature (over 35℃) and loll pH condition (less than 3.6), the old culture of homo fermentative lactic acid bacterial strains isolated from market yogurt drinks were more easily changed to hetero fermentative strains than the young culture of the strains.

        We have been used for the Pt catalyst of cathode electrode in fuel cell. Weak point of Pt electrode are easily deactivated by the CO poisoning which are producing in reaction at electrode. Recent, researchers have developed cathode electrode to avoid the CO poisoning in electrode using the Pt-alloy or another novel metal. We now report Au-carbene complexes as an Au-electrode precursor derived from the reaction of the carbene with the ClAu(PPh₃) complex in THF/MeOH.

      • Adriamycin및 Epiadriamycin투여가 Mouse심장근의 Mg++-ATPase활성에 미치는 영향에 관한연구

        Adriamycin and epiadriamycin are anthracyclin antibiotics and epiadriamycin has a different configuration of the -OH group in in the C-4 positive (equatorial configuration) of the aminosugar moiety of the adriamycin. The antibiotics inhibit the DNA synthesis by intercalating between strands of the DNA double helix and they have been widely used as anticancer drugs in the treatment of sarcoma, leukemia, and solid tumor. Adriamycin and epiadriamycin have little specificity toward the normal and tumor cells, cytotoxicity of the normal cells being observed during the drug therapy. Therefore the author undertook the present study to pursue the effect of adriamycin and epiadriamycin on mitochondria of the cardiac muscle cell. Albino mice, ICR strain, weighing 20gm were used as an experimental animals. The experimental animals were killed 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours after administration of 30mg/kg of adriamycin and 36mg/kg of epiadriamycin, respectively. The specimens obtained from left ventricle of the heart were prepared and processed by Wachstein's method for detecting ??-ATPase activity in the mitochondria. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The ??-ATPase activity in left ventricular cardiac muscle cells was strongly positive in the 12-hour adriamycin treated group and decreased with time, exhibiting only trace activity in the 72-hour adriamycin treated group. 2. The ??-ATPase activity in left ventricular cardiac muscle cells was strongly positive in the 12-hour epiadriamycine treated group and weakly positive in the 72-hour epiadriamycin treated group. Consequently it is suggested that adriamycin and epiadriamycin inhibit ??-ATPase activity showing cardiotoxic effect of the drug.

      • Methanol 자화성 효모에 의한 균체 단백질 생산

        SCP producing yeast JAM -3032 that has high productivity potential with methanol as carbon and energy source was isolated from soil, and conditions for SCP production, nutritional values, and alcohol oxidase of the microorganism were investigated. Isolated strain JAM-3032 was identified as Pichina on the morphological, cultural, physiological and biochemical characteristics. The production of cell mass reached at maximal level after 54 hrs cultivation at 28℃, pH 6.0 in the medium containing methanol 3.0%, yeast extract 0.8%, K2HPO4 0.1%, KH2PO4 0.1%. MgSO4ㆍ7H2O 0.05%, alanine 0.01%, nicotinic acid 0.04%, and biotin 0.04%. Dry cells of Pichia sp. JAM -3032 was composed of proteins 53.3%, carbohydrates 31. 5%, nucleic acids 5.6%, lipids 2.9%, ash 6.4% and amino acid composition of the proteins was satisfied in FAO reference. Biosynthesis of the alcohol oxidase of the strain JAM -3032 was induced by methanol. The enzyme was purified by treatment of ammonium sulfate fractionation, DEAE-Sephadex A-50 ion exchange chromatography and Sepharose 6B gel nitration. The purified enzyme was homogeneous on SDS-PAGE, and molecular weight was estimated to be about 520,000 D that was consisted of 8 subunits containing FAD as coenzyme. The optimal pH and temperature for the enzyme reaction was 7.5 and 37℃, respectively. Activation energy was 17.1Kcal/mol and half inactivating temperature was 40℃. The enzyme activity was inhibited by Ag+, Cu2+ and Hg2+ ions remarkably. The enzyme acted on methanol specifically, and its Km value was 0.89 mM.
