        We have developed a Edge Position Controller (EPC) using a ultrasonic sensor and applied to a fabric machine as a web guide system. Hardware devices composed of a ultrasonic transmitter-receiver sensor module and microprocessor-based sensor signal processing system are developed to realize the proposed system. We evaluated the control characteristics of the EPC and the performance of the system was good enough to apply the actual system.

        The construction industry in interior is made up constructors and social situations. Since these social situations and the surroundings of construction industry are interacted and developed, we should understand the these situation. It would be necessary for us to understand both sides for setting the countermeasure. This study is looking for direct influence factors in the circumstance of construction industry and analyzed out this situation of the order and the received order as well as the side of industrial manpower surroundings by local area. Moreover, the comparison way in local area has the quantitative analysis and the actual condition analysis in data of estimation factors, consider mutual relation of tease factors, and decide the ranking in these data.

        It is important to know the impacts of acid rain because of soil acidification, reduced biological productivity. Many researchers were interested in regional acid problems, and former research were focued in short-term trends of acid rain. It is not easy to evaluate acid rain problems because of many parameters relating to meteorological factors, which are wind, temperature, humidity and other factors. Rainfall sampling for this study was done from September 1933 to December 2000 in Dong-A University, Busan. All Samples were collected in separately to early fraction and succeeding fraction. Also, the samples were measured for pH, and EC, cations and anions were analysed by ion Chromatography.

        자동차 공조용 핀형 열교환기의 성능특성에 관한 연구

        Fin-tube type(Fin-type) heat exchanger has been tested in order to replace the heat exchanger of parallel flow type(P.F-type) which is now widly used in automobile air conditioning system. The following conclusions are drawn by the comparison of the characteristics of the heat exchangers. Evaporator and condenser capacities and COP(Coefficience of performance) were varied as with the compressor speed, outdoor air temperature and air flow rate changed, which much influenced on the characteristics of the air conditioning system. Evaporator and condenser capacities were increased with increasing compressor speed and outdoor air temperature. Evaporator and condenser pressures of Fin- type were decreased by 7% and 5% respectively compared with those of P.F-type. The COP of Fin-type was decreased with increasing outdoor air temperature and compressor speed. The COP of P.F-type was decreased by 14% compared with that of Fin-type.

        Changes of Hairy vetch Biomass by Different Seeding Methods and Rice Growth and Soil Physicochemical Properties by Its Incorporation in Paddy

        Hairy vetch can fix nitrogen from the atmosphere as a leguminous cover crop. This research was carried out to determine optimum seeding method of hairy vetch and application effect in paddy. Field experiment was conducted at Sinheung series (fine loamy, mixed, nonacid, mesic family of Fluvaquentic Endoaquepts) from Sep. 2011 to Oct. 2012 at the National Institute of Crop Science (NICS), RDA, Suwon, Gyeonggi province, Korea. Hairy vetch used in the study was 'Cheongpyungbora', developed by National Institute of Crop Science. Seeding methods of hairy vetch consisted of Broadcasting Before Rice Harvesting (BBRH), Partial Tillage Seeding (PTS), Minimum Tillage Seeding (MTS), No Tillage Seeding (NTS), and Drill Seeding (DS). Both MTS and NTS showed the highest biomass among the seeding methods. The rice yield of MTS and NTS significantly increased compared to conventional fertilization (CF). Also soil properties including organic matter and bulk density were improved by incorporation of hairy vetch. Therefore, we suggested that MTS and NTS could be used to produce hairy vetch and rice in paddy.

        육종성 변화를 보인 간세포암 1례

        Hepatocellular carcinoma with sarcomatous component has rarely been reported. The clinicopathologic characteristics, histogenesis, and prognosis after hepatic resection have yet to be clarified. We experienced a case of hepatocellular carcinoma with sarcomatous component. A 58-year-old woman had suffered from the liver cirrhosis due to chronic hepatitis B. She complained of dull abdominal discomfort in the right upper quadrant and general weakness. Abdominal computed tomography scan revealed a 4.2 × 3.8 cm sized mass with central low density and peripheral enhancement. The microscopic findings of the segementally resected liver mass showed hepatocelluar carcinoma with foci of pleomorphic spindle cell proliferation and transitional zone. The tumor cells revealed prominent nucleoli and frequent mitosis. The sarcomatous component reacted positivily for cytokeratin, vimentin and partially α-fetoprotein. Findings suggest that sarcomatous components represent sarcomatous changes of hepatocellular carcinoma cells rather than the collision tumor of hepatocellular carcinoma and sarcoma.

      • 수근관 증후군 환자에서 내신경유리술(Endoneurolysis)후 임상적 결과의 고찰

        수근관 증후군 환자에서 개방성 감압술 시행시 내신경유리술이 임상적 결과에 미치는 영향에 대해서는 논란의 여지가 많았다. 임상적으로 수근관 증후군으로 진단받은 환자에 대해 단순한 개방성 감압술과 내신경유리술을 병행한 환자들간의 술후 임상적 증상의 호전 및 근전도 검사를 시행한 결과 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 보이지 않았으나 술후 환자의 회복도나 만족도는 내신경유리술을 병행한 환자에서 그 시기가 빠르고 결과도 좋았다 On the Patients of the carpal tunnel syndrome surgically incicated, authors tried internal neurolysis during open decompression of the median nerve. The analytic patients were 14 cases of simple decompression and 11 cases of internal neurolysis and they could be follow up over 6 months from jannuary 1996 to December 1997. The results are as follows. 1.There were no significant difference of symptoms, signs and EMG improved between two groups. 2.The patients with internal neurolysis were satisfactied quickly than simple decompression.

        Neurites from PC12 cells are connected to each other by synapse-like structures

        <P>PC12 cells have been used as a model of sympathetic neurons. Nerve growth factor (NGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), and cAMP induce neurite outgrowth from PC12 cells. cAMP induced a greater number of neurites than did NGF. In particular, we attempted to elucidate whether PC12 cell neurites, induced by several factors including NGF, bFGF, and cAMP, form synapses, and whether each neurite has presynaptic and postsynaptic properties. Using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), we observed that neurites are connected to each other. The connected regions presented dense core vesicles and a clathrin-coated membrane invagination. In addition, typical maker proteins for axon and dendrite were identified by an immuno-staining method. Tau-1, an axonal marker in neurons, was localized at a high concentration in the terminal tips of neurites from PC12 cells, which were connected to neurite processes containing MAP-2, a dendritic marker in neurons. Furthermore, neurites containing SV2 and synaptotagmin, markers of synaptic vesicles, were in contact with neurites harboring drebrin, a marker of the postsynaptic membrane, suggesting that neurites from PC12 cells induced by NGF, bFGF, and cAMP may form synapse-like structures. Tat-C3 toxin, a Rho inhibitor, augmented neurite outgrowth induced by NGF, bFGF, and cAMP. Tat-C3 toxin together with neurotrophins also exhibited synapse-like structures between neurites.       • 나이테 분석법을 활용한 소나무 송진채취 역사 조사

        This study aimed at dating tree rings to investigate the year of resin collection from red pines (Pinus densiflora). For the study, we selected 10 red pines having a resin scar and 3 red pines having no resin scar in Anmyeon-ep, Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do (hereafter Anmyeon). In Gilgok-ri, Daesan-myeon, Namwon-si, Jeollabuk-do (hereafter Namwon) we selected 8 red pines having a resin scar and 3 red pines having no resin scar. In order to establish tree-ring time series, two increment cores were extracted from each red pine. The local master chronologies of Anmyeon and Namwon were successfully established using the time series from non-damaged red pines and the opposite side of resin scar in red pines damaged by resin collection, which are well synchronized each other. Finally, we could date the years of resin collection in Anmyeon and Namwon by comparing individual time series from resin scar with the corresponding local master chronologies. It was confirmed that the resin collection was fulfilled at Anmyeon between summer in 1962 and spring in 1973, whereas, the collection was done at Namwon between autumn in 1938 and spring in 1943. The result would be a fundamental data for systematically managing the resin collection as our traditional forest knowledge.
