Vol.13 No.1
Acknowledging the national trend of policy toward an inclusive society, this study noted the fact that many corporations plan and execute a series of inclusive campaigns based on open perspectives for diverse social value. Notably, companies can help our society minimize social conflicts and solve subsequent problems by raising important social issues through altruistic inclusive campaigns. This study investigated what contingent factors are influential in the perception of corporate inclusive campaigns (Research Question 1) and attitude toward corporations performing them (Research Question 2). This study found that perceiving open and participatory corporate culture, CEOs’ transformational leadership, practitioners’ ability and openness, consumers’ power and thoughtful idea, and the relationship between the corporation and its consumers were positively associated with the respondents’ perception of corporate inclusive campaigns. On the other hand, how respondents perceive hierarchical and authoritative corporate culture, corporate confidence and the level of resources for dealing with issues in its inclusive campaigns, and the dynamics of business environment negatively affected the perception of corporate inclusive campaigns. Moreover, perceived open and participatory corporate culture, perceived CEOs’ transformational leadership, perceived practitioners’ ability and openness, perceived relationship between a corporation and its consumers, perceived consumers’ credibility, perceived consumers’ power and thoughtful idea, and the perception of corporate inclusive campaigns were positively significant for the respondents’ attitude toward companies performing inclusive campaigns. Conversely, perceiving hierarchical and authoritative corporate culture, CEOs’ transactional leadership, and the severity of issues in inclusive campaigns were negatively associated with attitude toward corporations. Based on the results, this study discussed diverse scholarly and practical implications in depth.
Use of Political Blogs: Comparison of Legislator Blogs
Vol.25 No.3
This study compared whether the two major South Korean parties’ legislator blogs show any differences in terms of content of postings. The two parties’ legislator blogs were updated approximately once a week by posting one or more new items at the length of three pages on average. Regarding authors of postings, the two parties’ blogs showed both common and different points. The opposition party’s legislators showed more negative frames than their counterparts. The ruling party’s legislator blogs posted slightly more personal stories/interests, while the opposition party’s legislator blogs showed more policy postings. Based on the findings, practical implications were discussed.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors have dramatically revolutionized the therapeutic landscape for patients with advanced malignancies. Recently, convincing evidence has shown meaningful influence of gut microbiome on human immune system. With the complex link between gut microbiome, host immunity and cancer, the variations in the gut microbiota may influence the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors. Indeed, some bacterial species have been reported to be predictive for cancer outcome in patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors. Although immune checkpoint inhibitors are currently proven to be an effective anti-tumor treatment, they can induce a distinct form of toxicity, termed immune-related adverse events. Immune-related colitis is one of the common toxicities from immune checkpoint inhibitors, and it might preclude the cancer therapy in severe or refractory cases. The manipulation of gut microbiome by fecal microbiota transplantation or probiotics administration has been suggested as one of the methods to enhance anti-tumor effects and decrease the risk of immune-related colitis. Here we review the role of gut microbiome on immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy and consequent immune-related colitis to provide a new insight for better anti-cancer therapy.
