        정면절삭 공정에서 페이스커터의 축방향 런아웃이 표면 거칠기에 미치는 영향

        In face milling, the gap between inserts in accordance with the direction of rotation axis of the face cutter causes axial run-out, which deteriorates the quality of the machined surface. Axial run-out is generally adjusted based on personal experience owing to the lack of research on the correlation between axial run-out and surface quality. In this study, we analyzed the effect of axial run-out on surface roughness in face milling. Machining experiments were performed under various axial run-out and machining conditions, such as cutting depth, tool rotation speed, and feed rate. The effects of axial run-out and machining conditions on surface roughness were analyzed based on the experimental result. Ultimately, we proposed a regression model for predicting surface roughness based on the axial run-out and machining conditions. 정면절삭 공정에서 페이스커터에 설치된 인서트의 절삭 깊이 방향 높이 차이에 의해 발생하는 축방향 런아웃은 가공 표면의 거칠기를 결정하는 중요한 요인이다. 적절한 가공 조건을 설정하더라도 축방향 런아웃에 의해 표면 거칠기가 목표값을 초과하는 경우가 발생하나, 축방향 런아웃과 표면 거칠기의 상관관계에 대한 분석 결과가 충분하지 않으므로 실제 공정에서는 경험에 의존하여 축방향 런아웃을 조절한다. 본 연구에서는 축방향 런아웃이 표면 거칠기에 미치는 영향을 정리하였다. 심플레이트를 이용하여 인위적으로 다양한 크기의 축방향 런아웃을 만들어 가공실험을 진행하였으며, 요인간 교락을 억제하기 위해 다양한 가공 깊이, 공구 회전속도, 절삭 이송속도의 무작위 배치 반복실험으로 데이터를 확보하였다. 실험 결과의 회귀 분석을 통해 축방향 런아웃과 가공 조건으로부터 표면 거칠기를 예측하기 위한 모델을 도출하였다.

        플랫폼 게임에 적용될 수 있는 반응성 사운드 시스템

        현대 게임에서 음악의 입지는 점점 커지고 있으며, 게임 분야에서도 스토리텔링에 주도적인 역할을 하는 경우가 많다. 플랫폼 게임은 액션 게임의 한 종류에 속하는데, 그 속성상 캐릭터와 오브젝트의 상호작용과 이동이 일체화되어 있기 때문에 사운드 시스템과 밀접하게 결합되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 플랫폼 게임을 중심으로 그 스토 리텔링에 부합한 반응성 사운드 시스템을 구축해보고 있다. 직접적인 개발 경험을 바탕으로, 게임 음악이 게임의 스토리텔링에 직접적으로 관여하도록 구성하는 연구를 해보았다.. 또한 심리적, 음악적, 사회적 측면으로 서로 상응 되는 점을 고찰함으로써 향후 게임 음악에서 개선되어야 할 측면들을 고찰하였다.

        눈꺼풀수술 후 생긴 문제점들에 대한 여러 방법을 이용한 개선

        Many techniques for prevention and correction of complication after blepharoplasty have been developed, however, satisfactory method has not yet been documented. The purpose of this article is to review common unfavorable complications after Asian cosmetic eyelid surgery, and to propose several methods of treatment for effective correction. From 1988 to 2008, authors reviewed 364 cases (480 eyes) of complications after cosmetic eyelid surgery. Follow-up period ranged from 6 months to 16 years. The results of treatments were classified into excellent, good, fair and unsatisfactory by operating surgeons, other surgeons, and by patients. About 40% of complications requiring revisional surgeries were treated early within 2 weeks after first operation. Other 60% of complications were treated by late reoperations, at least 6 months after first surgery. Majority of patients were satisfied with the results. However, a few patients reported unsatisfactory outcomes which required additional revisional procedures. The correction of complications following cosmetic eyelid surgery remains a difficult task. The strategies for successful Asian upper blepharoplasty include not only careful preoperative evaluation and delicate operative technique, but also, proper postoperative interventions such as early secondary blepharoplasty.

      • Cell-Penetrating Peptide-Patchy Squashy Polymeric Nanovehicles with Enhanced Cellular Uptake and Transdermal Delivery

        We herein propose a polymeric nanovehicle system that has the ability to remarkably improve cellular uptake and transdermal delivery. Cell-penetrating peptide-patchy squashy polymeric nanovehicles were fabricated by tailored co-assembly of amphiphilic poly(ethylene oxide)-block-poly(ε-caprolactone) (PEO-b-PCL), mannosylerythritol lipid (MEL), and YGRKKRRQRRR-Cysteamine (TAT)-linked MEL. Thanks to asymmetric alkyl chain configuration of MEL, the polymeric nanovehicles show structural flexibility as well as deformability, which can be confirmed by XRD, DSC, and NMR analyses. Those properties enable the vehicle to pass through between intercellular lipids in the stratum corneum. Moreover, co-assembly of TAT-linked MEL with the squashy nanovehicles significantly enhanced cellular uptake. From the in vivo skin penetration test revealed that our CPP-patchy squashy nanovehicles remarkably improved transdermal delivery efficiency.

        Comparison of Swallowing Functions Between Brain Tumor and Stroke Patients

        Objective To compare the swallowing functions according to the lesion locations between brain tumor and stroke patients.Methods Forty brain tumor patients and the same number of age-, lesion-, and functional status-matching stroke patients were enrolled in this study. Before beginning the swallowing therapy, swallowing function was evaluated in all subjects by videofluoroscopic swallowing study. Brain lesions were classified as either supratentorial or in-fratentorial. We evaluated the following: the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) National Outcome Measurement System (NOMS) swallowing scale, clinical dysphagia scale, functional dysphagia scale (FDS), penetration-aspiration scale (PAS), oral transit time, pharyngeal transit time, the presence of vallecular pouch residue, pyriform sinus residue, laryngopharyngeal incoordination, premature spillage, a decreased swal-lowing reflex, pneumonia, and the feeding method at discharge.Results The incidence of dysphagia was similar in brain tumor and stroke patients. There were no differences in the results of the various swallowing scales and other parameters between the two groups. When compared brain tumor patients with supratentorial lesions, brain tumor patients with infratentorial lesions showed higher propor-tion of dysphagia (p=0.01), residue (p<0.01), FDS (p<0.01), PAS (p<0.01), and lower ASHA NOMS (p=0.02) at initial evaluation. However, there was no significant difference for the swallowing functions between benign and malig-nant brain tumor patients. Conclusion Swallowing function of brain tumor patients was not different from that of stroke patients according to matching age, location of lesion, and functional status. Similar to the stroke patients, brain tumor patients with infratentorial lesions present poor swallowing functions. However, the type of brain tumor as malignancy does not influence swallowing functions.
