입경분포가 있는 정상상태 유동층으로부터의 입자의 선별 유출

입자가 성장하는 연속 정상상태 유동층 반응기에서의 입자 유동을 상온에서 모사할 수 있는 반응부 유동층의 하부에 큰 제품입자를 선별 유출할 수 있는 분리관을 설치하여 입경분포를 갖는 반응부 유동층 입자들의 분리를 연구하였다. 이 분리관을 통해 정상상태 반응부 유동층내에서 큰 입자들을 선택적으로 계속 유출하기 위해 혼합입자의 최대 및 최소 입자에 대한 초기 유동속도의 범위내에서 분리관 내부의 유동상태를 유지시켰다. 이러한 분리관을 이용하여 반응부 유동층에서의 유동조건에 영향을 미치지 않고 높은 입자 분리 효과를 거둘 수 있었는데, 이를 위해서는 반응부 유동층의 평균입경 및 분포의 특성과 분리관에서의 유동 특성에 대해 제한적인 조업범위가 존재함이 나타났다. 이러한 허용 조업범위하에서의 실험결과를 토대로 주어진 구조에 대해 반응부 유동총의 입경분포와 선별 유출된 입자들의 입경분포와의 관계식을 조업특성 변수들과 입경외 함수로 표시하여 실험 값들을 정량적으로 설명할 수 있음을 밝혔다. Continuous segregation of particles with size distribution was studied in a particle withdrawal boot attached to the bottom of a fluidized bed which was installed to simulate the particle dynamics in a particle growing reactor. In order to withdraw continuously and preferentially large particles in steady state from the main fluidized bed the boot was mildly fluidized between the incipient fluidization velocities of the largest and smallest size fractions. It was observed that a high degree of segregation can be achieved in the limited range of the fluidization condition at the boot as well as of the particle size and distribution mode at the main fluidized bed. In the acceptable operation range the segregation efficiency of large particles could fairly well be related to those operational parameters for a given boot geometry, and the empirical relationship proposed in this study were in good agreement with experimental observations.

역사적 고찰을 통한 구순열 치료의 이해

Cleft lip is a common congenital facial deformity which might cause speech, hearing, appearance, and psychological disorder. For the purpose of appropriate management for the cleft lip patients according to their individual situations, reviews of the historical evolution for the cleft lip treatment were summarized. More than 15 English written articles with 4 related historical books were reviewed, and the chronology of the cleft lip management from ancient to recent twenty first century, via middle ages and Renaissance, were summarized. Multifactorial causes of cleft lip, before the modern understanding of embryological background of it, most management of cleft lip has been explained under the basis of religions and/or superstitions. As the anatomic and embryologic knowledges were known and revealed, various misconceptions were corrected continously, and the simple closure of the lip defect was also evoluted to the applications of plastic concept. Recently, cosmetic outcomes with functional results, such as speech, hearing, psychological status, have been considered importantly, under the multidiciplinary care system. For the better understanding of cleft lip management as a routine esthtetic and functional reconstructive procedure, the various historical treatment trends were reviewed and summarized as time goes on. This review presentation will discuss the appropriate management for cleft lip patients.

19세기 말 서양인의 눈에 비친 조선사회의 현실과 동학 농민 봉기 - 이사벨라 버드 비숍의 『조선과 그 이웃나라』를 중심으로 -

This essay is to scrutinize the social reality of Joseon and The Dong Hak Peasants Uprising Looked through Isabella Bird Bishop’s Korea and Her Neighbours . She insisted that the Joseon consists of two classes, the Robbers and the Robbed, -the official class recruited from the yang-bans, the licensed vampires of the country, and “low men,” resident of fully four-fifths of the population, whose raison d'tre is to supply the blood for the vampires to suck. Bishop insisted that ministers of State, governors, and magistrates were all indifferent to the welfare of their country, were bent only on enriching themselves, and that there were no checks on their rapacity. The Dong Haks peasants revolted against this robbers. Bishop was inclined to call its leaders armed reformers rather than “rebels.” Bishop looked out that, out of such unpromising materials, the new nation has to be constructed, by education, by protecting the producing classes, by punishing dishonest officials, by the imposition of a labour test in all Government offices, i.e. by paying only for work actually done. 본 논문은 이사벨라 버드 비숍의 조선과 그 이웃나라 에 나타난 조선사회의 현실과 동학 농민봉기에 대한 인식을 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 비숍은 조선을 여행하면서 조선이 충분한 잠재력을 가지고 있는 나라이나 계발되지 못함으로써 가난을 면치 못하고 있다는 판단을 하게 된다. 무엇보다 그녀는 조선의 잠재력이 개발되지 않는 이유를 사회적 의무에는 소홀히한 채 오로지 피지배계층에 대한 착취에만 물들어 있는 지배계층과 이러한 지배계층에 대한 효율적인 통제력을 상실한 정부의 무능력 탓으로 돌리고 있다. 그녀는 이익에 대한 소유권이 보장되지 않는 사회에서 생산성은 결코 증대할수 없다는 것이다. 비숍은 1894년에 일어난 동학 농민 봉기를 조선사회에 만연해 있는 지배층의 부정부패와 정부의 무능력에 대한 저항으로 보고, 그들을 ‘무장한 개혁자들’로 표현하고 있다. 따라서 그녀는 동학운동을 단순히 종교적인 현상이 아닌 사회적 현상으로 파악하였다. 그녀는 조선 사회가 전망이 없는 전통적 요소들을 제거하고, 교육체계를 확립하며, 생산계층을 보호하고, 부정직한 관리를 처벌하며, 그리고 모든 공직에 업무능력 시험을 부과하거나 실질적으로 마무리된 일에 대해서만 대가를 지불하는 방식 등을 통해 새로운 국가가 건설될때 개혁은 실현될 것으로 보았다.

자기초월과 자기정체성을 통섭하는 여성 영성 형성 연구

그동안 기독교 영성에서 자기 자신을 비우는 것과 정화에 초점을 두었다. 영성에는 다양한 특성이 있음에도 불구하고 자기를 초월하고 자기에게서 벗어나는 것이 중요한 특징이 되었기 때문이다. 그러나 기독교 영성은 자기 자신을 초월하는 특성뿐 아니라 인간의 삶을 통합하는 차원이 있다. 이는 자기감각과 자기가치감에 영향을 주고 이러한 점에서 삶의 통합은 개인에게 정체성을 형성해 준다고 볼 수 있다. 그런데 지금까지 영성형성 형성에서 상대적으로 자기정체성이 약화되었다. 그 이유는 무엇일까. 마이클 다우니에 의하면 이전 시대의 영성은 사제와 수도자들을 중심으로 한 엘리트적이었다. 엘리트요, 정통적인 공식적인 기독교를 이끌어왔던 대다수의 남성들에게는 자기가치를 존중하고 자기지식을 갖는 것보다 자기에게서 벗어나 자기를 비우는 것이 주요한 과제가 되었기 때문이었다. 그렇기 때문에 여성의 영성에 관하여 논할 때에는 기존의 자기초월뿐 아니라 자기정체성을 통섭하는 영성이 필요하다. 이러한 목적으로 본 글은 여성기독교교육학자로서 학자적인 식견과 영성의 풍부한 경험과 유산을 가지고 있는 레티 러셀(Letty Mandeville Russell), 마리아 해리스(Maria Harris), 앤 윔벌리(Anne E. Streaty Wimberly)의 영성교육을 통해 자기정체성과 자기초월을 통섭하는 여성영성형성을 연구하고자 하였다. 레티 러셀에게 자기초월은 타자를 향한 삶이며, 자기정체성은 자립성과 독립성을 갖고 타인의 해방을 위해 파트너와 청지기가 되는 것이다. 마리아 해리스에게 자기초월은 신적 현존에게로의 초월이며, 자기정체성은 주체자로서 세계 재창조의 주역이 되는 것이다. 앤 윔벌리에게 자기초월은 상황에 분리하여 자기를 긍정하는 것과 영적, 윤리적, 물질적, 사회정치적, 심리사회적, 교육적, 공동체적으로 해방하는 것이며, 자기정체성은 해방하는 지혜를 얻어 자기 자신도 자유하며 타인의 해방을 위해 나아가는 사람이 되는 것이다. 이러한 학자들의 이해와 여성의 관계지향적인 측면은 각 위격이 있으시지만 삼위일체 하나님이 한 분이신 것처럼, 여성이 자율성과 독립성을 가지고 이웃과 상호성, 평등성, 상호관계에 바탕을 두고 영성을 형성하는 것에서 볼 수 있다. 그리하여 기독교여성영성교육의 목적을 “여성이 삼위일체 하나님 안에서 삶의 목적과 의미를 발견하고, 성령 안에서 자율성과 독립성을 가진 주체로 살아가도록 안내되어, 하나님의 형상을 회복하고, 하나님과 이웃의 파트너가 되어 하나님 나라를 구현해 나가는 것이다.”고 제안하며 교육의 내용 및 방법을 나의 이야기, 다른 여성들의 이야기, 복음의 이야기로 보며 교육의 장을 지지와 환대가 있는 공동체로 보았다. So far, Christian spirituality has focused on emptying and purifying the self. This is because an important characteristic of spirituality involves transcending the self. However, Christian spirituality has a dimension that integrates human life as well as characteristically developing beyond the self. This also affects the sense of self and self-worth, and the integration of life allows individuals to form identities. However, what is the reason that spiritual formation has overlooked and weakened self-identity until now? According to Michael Downey, the spirituality of the previous era was elite, centered on priests and religious leaders. For the elite men who had been leading orthodox formal Christianity, it was a major task to transcend themselves rather than develop self-identity Therefore, when we talk about women’s spirituality, it is necessary to study not only the existence of self-transcendence but also self-identity. This essay will discuss the spiritual education of Letty Mandeville Russell, Maria Harris and Anne E. Streaty Wimberly, respectively. All of them possessed a wealth of experience and spiritual insight as Christian scholars. Letty Mandeville Russell saw “ self-transcendence” as life orientated toward the other, and “self-identity” as self-reliance and independence, becoming a partner and steward in the liberation of others. Maria Harris saw “self-transcendence” as transcendence to the divine presence, and “self–identity” as the subject and re-creator of the world. Anne Wimberly viewed “self-transcendence” as having different views on circumstances beyond those that affirm the self, and also as spiritual, ethical, material, socio-political, psychosocial, educational, and communal liberation. She saw “self-identity” as being liberated and freeing herself to move forward and assist in the liberation of others. These scholars’ understanding of the relationship-oriented aspects of women’s lives is manifested in the Trinity God. This can be seen from the fact that women form spirituality through reciprocity, equality, and a mutual relationship with their neighbors, as well as autonomy and independence. Thus, the purpose of Christian women’s spiritual education is to “guide women to discover the purpose and meaning of life in the Trinity God, to live as a subject with autonomy and independence in the Holy Spirit, to restore God's image, and to be a partner of God and to realize the kingdom of God.” We suggested the content and method of education as our stories, other women’s stories, the gospel’s stories, and the field of education as a community of support and hospitality.

비의식적으로 유발된 경쟁 목표가 소비자의 선호 변경에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 소비자들이 점화(priming)로 형성된 경쟁적 목표를 비의식적으로 추구하게 됨으로써, 의식적으로 추구한 초점목표를 통해 형성된 선호가 달라질 수 있음을 보여주었다. 경쟁적 목표를 유발하기 위하여, 실험 1에서는 어떠한 개념이나 목표를 점화하기 위해 일반적으 로 사용되는 방법인 문장만들기 과업을 이용하였다. 실험 1의 결과, 소비자들이 경쟁적 개념에 점화된 경우에는 중립적인 개념에 점화된 경우 보다 타인의 선호에 관한 정보를 접했을 때 자신의 선호를 상향 변경한 소비자들이 더 많았다. 또한, 경쟁적인 개념에 점화된 소비자들이 중립 적 개념에 점화된 소비자들보다 자신과 타인의 선호를 비교하는 정도가 더 높게 나타났다. 그리고 경쟁적 점화(vs. 중립적 점화)가 소비자의 선호 변경에 미치는 영향을 자신과 타인의 선호를 비교하는 정도가 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 실험 2에서는 문장만들기와 같은 일반적인 자 극 외에도 마케팅 자극물 또한 소비자들에게 경쟁적 목표를 유발하여 소비자들의 선호 변경에 영향을 미칠 수 있는지 검증하였다. 이를 위하 여, 가상의 제품의 인쇄광고물에 경쟁적 의미를 담은 메시지를 삽입하여 이를 점화 자극물로 사용하였다. 실험 2의 결과는 모두 실험 1의 결과 와 동일하게 도출되어, 광고와 같은 마케팅 자극물도 소비자들에게 비의식적인 경쟁적 목표를 유발시킬 수 있는 도구로 사용될 수 있다는 것 을 보여주었다. This paper demonstrated that as consumers nonconsciously pursued competitive goals (i.e., background goals) induced by priming, the competitive goals could alter consumers’ preferences constructed through the pursuit of the focal goal. To induce competitive goals, the Experiment 1 selected a scrambled-sentence task commonly used to prime a construct or a goal. The Experiment 1 showed that on receipt of information on others’ preference, more participants changed their preference upward in the competitive priming condition than in the neutral priming condition. Further, the participants in the competitive priming condition compared their preference with others’ preference to a greater degree than those in the neutral priming condition. Finally, the degree to which the participants compared their preference with others’ preferences mediated the effect of priming on participants’ preference changes. The Experiment 2 was intended to examined that whether marketing stimuli (e.g., print advertisements) can also induce nonconscious competitive goals and alter consumers’ preferences. To achieve this purpose, print advertisements for a fictitious brand were made and included competitive messages. The Experiment 2 replicated the results from the Experiment 1 and thus confirmed that marketing stimuli can also induce nonconscious competitive goals to consumers.

Ruining Representation: Barbara Kruger's Text-and-Image Montage

Kruger's text-and-image montage is a postmodern critique of stereotypes, embedded in representations of women in particular. The rupture between her own texts and borrowed photographic images generates the tension between those contradictory elements, thereby compelling the viewer to decode socially imposed stereotypes. To reach out a larger audience, Kruger also appropriates the strategy of spectacle, which effectively penetrates the collective psyche of the public. Yet the encounter with the apparently familiar images along with short texts would be greeted with frustration due to the unexpected tension between the text and the image. The inversion aims to compel the viewer to refuse the socially imposed stereotypes of women and ultimately to disclose the formation of the stereotyped representations, which have sustained the patriarchal hierarchy of capitalist society. With her systematic critique of the hidden power relations that constitute representations, Kruger endeavors to dismantle the socio-political system of representation. Kruger's text-and-image montage points to the public site of double erasure of women, whose misrepresentation has been circulated in mass media. The female viewer is also deprived of subjectivity in consuming her own misrepresentation. By displacing stereotypes, Kruger intends to make the viewer to think about the way in which to represent him-or herself. Kruger's subversive intention aims to give a place back to the viewer, whose difference in gender has been assimilated in constructing a homogeneous Other. By looking into the work of Barbara Kruger, female activist artist, this paper does not intend to replace a hero with a heroine in art history. It is more interested in the song rather than the singer. Kruger's deconstructive and subversive text-and-image montages seek an optimistic future. Kruger endeavors to disclose the social system that has been in shadow under the History. She wants to displace the singular and univocal history into “a chorus of stories, a crowd of reckoning.” Her notion of the new history is “not only about the pain of the past, or the struggles of the present, but implicitly and explicitly proposes inclusive definitions for democratic futures”(Kruger, 1993: 15).

소비자의 서비스 대기시간 인식에 대한 탐색적 연구 : 기회비용 프레이밍(Framing)을 중심으로
