In order to evaluate the of cut slope, the fuzzy fault tree analysis(FFTA) model with application of fuzzy logic method is proposed. On the basis of the existed limit equilibrium analysis, landslide risk assessment and domestic research results according to rainfall, the evaluation of slope condition and slope stability to use the fuzzy fault tree analysis model can be reasonably selected. The evaluation factors of slope stability are classified into three categories; one is the geometrical factor of slope; another is the geotechnical factor, and the other is the rainfall factor such as maximum rainfall intensity and 2day accumulative rainfall. The SlopeEval(Ver. 1.0)program was developed using the FFTA model. The failure possibility of cut slope can be predicted with application of FFTA model, and the predicting result shows high accuracy. The proposed FFTA model is analyzed to evaluate the risk and asset management with a change of slope condition assessment. As the result, the proposed FFTA model can be used to design the asset value and life cycle cost analysis.

Implant placement on the anterior mandible is considered a common and safe surgical procedure. However, severe hemorrhage can occur if branches of the sublingual artery, which run through the lingual cortical plate of the mandible, are damaged. Excessive hemorrhage caused by injury to the sublingual artery can result in life-threatening problems such as airway obstruction. A 54-year old male patient without any generalized systemic conditions was referred due to active bleeding after implant placement in the anterior mandible. Gauze compression with surgicel and bosimin were performed and hemostasis was achieved. The patient was discharged after 3 days without any supplementary bleeding.
