        울산 울주지역 소규모 수도시설 지하수의 수리지화학적 특성 연구

        The hydrogeochemical characteristics of groundwater in the small waterworks are examined with 81 groundwater samples in Ulju region, Ulsan. The pH ranged in 6.3-8.2 and did not exceed the drinking water standards. Electrical conductivity ranged from $50{\mu}S/cm$ to $1,719{\mu}S/cm$. It indicated that the electrical conductivities in groundwaters at the study area are relatively low, compared with other groundwaters in Ulsan area. The calcium concentrations in groundwaters ranged from 3.55 to 113.01 mg/L, and sodium concentrations ranged from 2.02 to 65.50 mg/L. Nitrate concentrations ranged from 0 to 100.56 mg/L and potassium concentrations ranged from N.D (not detected) to 2.50 mg/L. Major cations and anions were mainly derived from the water-rock interaction involving feldspar, gypsum and calcite. The groundwaters were mainly the $Ca-(Na)-HCO_3$ type, classified as the early stage of groundwater evolutions. The correlation between electrical conductivities and Ca concentrations in groundwaters was relatively high ($R^2=0.74$). In the correlations between ions, the correlation coefficient between $SO_4$ and Ca was 0.65 and between Mg and $HCO_3$ was 0.65.

        중국으로부터 수입된 삼채복(Fugu flavidus)의 독성

        본 연구에서는 중국에서 수입되어 시중에서 판매되고 있는 삼채복을 시료로 하여 각 개체의 조직 부위별 독성을 조사하였고 Bio-Gel P-2 칼럼 크로마토크래피로 복어독을 부분정제하여 TLC, 전기영동 및 HPLC에 의하여 독성분을 검출하고 확인하였다. 삼채복 10개체의 경우 그 독력은 내장, 난소 및 답즙은 ND-10MU/g 및 ND-23MU/g이었으나, 간장, 껍질, 근육 및 정소는 무독하였으며, 유독개체 출현율은 난소$(100\%)$, 담즙$(20\%)$ 및 내장$(10\%)$순으로 나타났다. 간장부위는 성별에 따른 독력의 차이를 볼 수 없었으나, 생식소의 경우 성별에 따른 차이가 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 한편, 삼채복의 난소로부터 분리한 독소는 TLC와 전기영동상에서 각각 표준품 TTX와 anh-TTX의 상대이동도와 유사한 두 지점인 Rf 0.64, 0.86와 5.5, 7.2cm에서 나타내어 TTX 관련물질임이 확인되었다. 또한, HPLC분석 결과 TDA, TTX와 anh-TTX의 peak가 뚜렷하게 나타난 반면 4-epi TTX의 peak도 약간 나타났다. Ten specimens of the imported pufferfish, fugu flavidus ('Sarnchaebog'), from China were assayed for anatomical distribution of toxicity, Also, a toxic ovary of each specimen was excised, and transferred into Bio-gel P-2 column chromatography for purification of the toxins. The average toxicity of all specimens assayed was calculated to be $4.1\pm 0.5\;in\;liver,\;2.8\pm1.1\;intestine,\;0.8\pm0.5\;skin,\;2.3\pm1.5\;testis\;39.0\pm16.0\;ovary\;and\;7.0\pm2.0 MU/g$ bile, respectively; Ovary was weakly toxic, but others were non-toxic or weakly toxic. Moreover, instrumental analyses including thin layer chromatography(TLC) and electrophoresis disclosed tetrodotoxin (TTX) and anhydro tetrodotoxin (anh-TTX), respectively. The toxins of the ovary gave four peaks in high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) whose retention times (14 and 24 min) were close to those of TTX and anh-TTX, respectively.

        디스크형 압전 변압기의 전기적 특성

        In this study, a step-down piezoelectric transformer was fabricated to utilize as an adapter for charging batteries of mobile electronic appliances. The ceramic part of the transformer is $Pb[(Mn_{1/3}Sb_{2/3})_{_0.05}Zr_{0.475}Ti_{0.475}]O_3$ with mechanical quality factor of 1600, electromechanical coupling coefficient $59\%$, and piezoelectric constant $d_{33}$ 1300, which can be utilized as a piezoelectric transformer. A simply fabricated disk-typed test pattern of diameter 28 mm and thickness 2 mm was used to characterize output voltage, step-down ratio as a function of electrode area with the input remained constant, and power, efficiency as a function of input voltage, and temperature-dependent electric characteristics were evaluated. The sample APT1 showed the best properties. The highest admittance, effective electromechanical coupling coefficient and an appropriate mechanical quality factor were obtained at the sample with the input/output area ratio of 1:1.5 at the common electrode, and the condition of 20 $V_{rms}$, $50\;\Omega$ made the maximum efficiency of $95\%$. The temperature was increased by 14.7'E as the input voltage was increased for $50\;V_{rms},\;50\;\Omega$.

        혼합 인산염의 첨가가 어류연육의 기능적 성질에 미치는 영향

        인산염의 첨가가 조기 및 갈치연육의 보수력 및 단백질의 용출성에 미치는 영향과 가열처리 후에 조기육을 원료로 가공한 어묵의 texture에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 인산염을 첨가하지 않은 대조구와 4종의 시판 복합 인산염을 첨가수준별로 사용 했을때의 기능적 성질을 분석 검토 하였다. 연육의 보수력 및 염용성 단백질량은 조기연육에는 인산염B(sodium poly-phosphate 50%. sodium Poly-Phosphate20%, sodium tetra meta-Phosphate 20%, sodium acid pyro-phosphates%, sodium ultra meta-phosphate 5%)를 갈치연육에는 인산염C(sodium poly-phosphate40%, sodium pyro-phosphate 30%, potassium pyro-phosphate 15%, sodium tetra meta-phosphate10%, sodium hexa meta-phosphates%)를 각각 0.4% 첨가한 경우가 가장효과적 이였고 그때의 염용성 단백질의 용출량은 조기연육이 954mg%, 갈치연육이 686mg%였다. 조기육을 원료로 하여 가공한 어묵의 적정가열 조건은 $85^{\circ}C$에서 45분간 가열한 것이 조직감이 양호 하였다. 한편 $121^{\circ}C$에서 10분간 가열한 경우는 C인산염이 다른 인산염에 비하여 어육 단백질의 열 안정성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. Effects of four kinds of phosphate complex on the water holding capacity (W.H.C) and protein solubility of yellow-corvenia (Pseudosciance manchurica) and hair tail (Tichurus lepturus) meat paste were investigated. The formulations of four kinds of phosphate complex employed to this experiment were made by mixing several phosphates such as sodium polyphosphate, sodium pyro-phosphate, sodium acid pyro-phosphate, potassium pyro-phosphate, sodium tetra meta-phosphate, sodium ultra meta-phosphate and sodium hexa meta-phosphate, and monoglyceride at different mixture ratios. Among the four kinds of phosphate complex, phosphate B complex which was formulated by mixing sodium poly-phosphate 50%, sodium pyrophosphate 20%, sodium tetra meta-phosphate 20%, sodium acid pyrophosphate 5% and sodium ultra meta-phosphate 5% was most effective on enhancing the W.H.C and protein solubility of yellow corvenia meat paste, and in case of hair tail meat paste, phosphate C complex which was formulated by mining sodium poly-phosphate 40%, sodium pyro-phosphate 30%, potassium pyro-phosphate 15%, sodium tetra meta-phosphate 10%, and sodium hexa meta-phosphate 5% was more effective than other phosphate complex, and their optimum addition level was 0.4% respectively in weight of fish meat paste. Texture characteristics such as hardness, cohesiveness, and springiness value of Kamaboko (fish meat paste product) were evaluated as best when 0.3% of phosphate B complex was added. The optimum cooking condition of Kamaboko to get good texture was heating for 45 mimutes at $85^{\circ}C$.

        한국판 전투 노출 척도의 신뢰도와 타당도

        Objective : In posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), it is essential to evaluate the severity of trauma with a reliable instrument. The combat exposure scale (CES) is one of the most widely used measures for the combat-related trauma. The present study was conducted to test the reliability and validity of the Korean version of CES (CES-K). Methods : One hundred and forty-five male Korean veterans of the Vietnam War participated in this study. CES-K, the structured clinical interview for DSM-III-R (SCID), clinician administered PTSD scale (CAPS), and the Korean version life events checklist (LEC-K) were administered. Results : Cronbach's coefficient of CES-K was .85, and the test-retest reliability was .94. The mean [standard deviation (SD)] scores of CES-K were 20.4 (9.0) in the PTSD group and 12.0 (8.6) in the non-PTSD group (p<.001). CES-K showed a significant correlation with LEC-K (r=.31, p<.001) and CAPS (r=.52, p<.001). Only one factor was revealed by the factor analysis. Conclusion : CES-K showed good reliability and validity for assessing the severity of combat exposure. Further, it demonstrated comparable psychometric properties to the previous study. It is expected that CES-K will be a useful tool for evaluating the severity of combat exposure in Korea.

        음곡(KI10) 금앵자 약침이 난소적출 생쥐의 골다공증에 미치는 영향

        Objective & Methods : The purpose of this study was to observe the effects of herbal-acupuncture with Rosae Laevigatae Fructus extact(RLF-HA) at KI10(Umgok) on osteoporosis in ovariectomized( OVX) ddy mice. We carried out several experimental items to analyze the changes in body weight, uterine weight, uterus index, tibial length, the ash bone weight, tibial BMD, serum ALP, serum osteocalcin, serum Ca, and the levels of Ca, P, Ca/P ratio in tibia, and we performed histological and histomorphological analysis as well. Results : 1. Herbal-acupuncture with Rosae Laevigatae Fructus at KI10(Umgok) and saline injection at KI10(Umgok) significantly inhibited the reduction of tibial calcium level in ovariectomized mice. 2. Herbal-acupuncture with Rosae Laevigatae Fructus at KI10(Umgok) significantly inhibited the increase of tibial osteoclast cells in ovariectomized mice. 3. Herbal-acupuncture with Rosae Laevigatae Fructus at KI10(Umgok) significantly inhibited the reduction of tibial trabecular bone thickness(TBT) in ovariectomized mice. 4. Herbal-acupuncture with Rosae Laevigatae Fructus at KI10(Umgok) significantly inhibited the overgrowth of tibial growth plate length(GPL) in ovariectomized mice. Conclusion : These results suggested that herbal-acupuncture with Rosae Laevigatae Fructus at KI10(Umgok) has a therapeutic effect on osteoporosis, and to be put to practical use in the future osteoporosis clinic.

      • 성전환 및 염색체 공학 기법을 이용한 초수컷(YY) 및 초암컷(${\Delta}YY$) 나일틸라피아(Oreochromis niloticus) 생산 II. 생산된 초수컷 및 초암컷 나일틸라피아의 자손검정

        XY 암컷에서 유도된 자성발생성 2배체 수컷 및 이의 성전환 암컷으로 부터 YY수컷(초수컷) 및 ${\Delta}YY$ 암컷(초암컷)을 선발하기 위하여 각각 정상 암컷 및 정상 수컷과 교배하여 자손 검정을 실시하였다. 교배가 이루어진 자성발생성 이배체 수컷 7마리 중 3마리가 YY 수컷으로 판정되었으며, 이들 자손의 수컷율은 $93.3\%\~100.0\%$로서 정상 교배에서 예상되는 성비인 1 : 1에 대한 $X^2$ test 결과 매우 유의하게 나타났다(P<0.01 또는 P<0.001). 자성발생성 2배체 성전환 암컷의 경우 교배가 이루어진 3마리 중 2마리가 ${\Delta}YY$ 암컷으로 판정되었으며, 이들 자손의 수컷율은 각각 $92.9\%$ 및 $86.2\%$ 그리고 $87.5\%$ 및 $95.0\%$로서 1 : 1 성비에 대해 매우 유의하였다(P<0.005). YY 수컷과 ${\Delta}YY$ 암컷간의 교배에서 전수컷 자손만이 생산되었다. Gynogenetic males induced from sex reversed female (${\Delta}XY$) were crossed with normal female (XX) for analysing their genotypes. The fish tested produced a high percentage of male progenies (93.3 to $100\%$) and were considered as supermales (YY). Superfemales (${\Delta}YY$) were also produced by combination of sex reversal and chromosome manipulation techniques. Superfemale fish can be produced approximetly $90\%$ of male when the fish were crossed with normal male. Chi-square values against an expected 1 : 1 (male : female) ratio were highly significant for both YY males${\times}$ normal females (P<0.01 or P<0.001) and ${\Delta}YY$ females${\times}$normal males (P<0.005 or P<0.001). All male progenies were produced consistently when crossed supermales (YY) with superfemales (${\Delta}YY$).
