        Western-style archery contributes significantly to international amity, to nongove-rnmental diplomacy and to the enhancement of national glory. In addition, itis a useful adjustment in paysical training in our national defense. Technic without strength of body and mind may not win in a contest. The development of physical training and the economy can be an indicator of national power in theinternational community. So it is necessary to teach archery by stages, considering the real and national aspects. to cultivate the personality and nature though the analysis of necessary conditions in archery instruction, to determine the best way of body and mind development by training for college women's and to find worthwhile recreation, we analysed the following subjects: (1)The physical power and characteristics which are neessary for men in archery. (2)The promotion of archery byexamining the difficulties(obstruction factors) in archery activities. Under the above headings, we distributed questionnaires about archery activities from March 1, 1985 to April 30, 1986 among college women in Departments of Physical Training (70 women), French Literature, etc(280 women). The content of the survey follow: (1)Research concerning to western-style archery and analysis of interest and participation of western-style archery activities (2)Analysis of understanding in western-style archery: Analysis of recognition in western0style archery, training method of that and analysis of westernstyle archery effectiveness (3)Analysis of obstrnction factors to the westernstyle archery function: Analysis of obstruction factors in physical training, in hobby activities, and in body and mind cultivation. (4)Research of western-style archery training method: Study of the training way and analysis of the western-style archery effectiveness We showed the result of this research by percentages. For the promotion of this study, we suggest the following: (1)Characteristic of Archery: the physical, mental characteristics and that of instruments (2)Effectiveness of Archery: the 2 effectiveness of body and mind training, of beauty and health, and of generalization of archery (3)Factors of Archery Obstruction (4)Basic Body Strength: the necessity of body training, archery gymnastics in training and the implied effectiveness of archery instructions and the methods of generalization For the effectiveness of Western-style archery, we conclude and propose the further propagation of Western-style in archery in theory and practice

        Multi-stage turbocharger system analysis method for high altitude UAV engine

        A multi-stage turbocharger system analysis method has been presented for a hydrogen fueled internal combustion engine targeted forHigh altitude long endurance UAV (HALE UAV), of which cruising altitude is 60000 ft. To utilize an internal combustion engine as apropulsion system of a HALE UAV, proper inlet pressure boost system such as a series of turbochargers should be ready, which makesengine performance less sensitive to flight altitude. In this study, to boost rarefied intake air pressure up to 1.7 bar to avoid early ignitionof hydrogen and to produce required power from engine, we used a boost system which consists of three-staged turbocharger accompaniedby intercooler to reduce compressed air temperature. To analyze multi-stage turbocharger performance at the cruising altitude, weestablished an explicit one-dimensional analysis method by matching required power between compressors and turbines. Then adequateturbochargers were searched for from commercially available models based on performance analysis results. One-dimensional analysiswas also applied from sea level to the cruising altitude to decide turbocharger operating lines were located within each turbocharger operatingranges.

        백토안료의 전통제법 중 아교수 영향에 관한 연구

        백토안료의 제조 공정 중 분쇄 및 수비단계에서 아교수를 적용하고 이에 따른 영향을 분석하였다. 분쇄 공정에서 아교수를 적용한 경우, 일반 증류수를 사용했을 때보다 미분의 생성량이 감소하고 분급도가 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 일반적으로 분쇄 성능 및 분쇄 한계에는 마찰력이 많은 영향을 미친다. 따라서 분쇄 조건에 따른 마찰력을 측정한 결과, 아교수를 적용한 경우 상대적으로 마찰력이 감소하는 것으로 확인되었다. 결국 분쇄 공정에서 아교수를 사용하는 것은 마찰력을 감소시켜 결과적으로 분급도를 향상시키기 위한 것으로 판단된다. 안료 제조 공정 중 수비단계에서 아교수를 적용한 결과, 아교수 적용 시 동일한 조건에서 보다 큰 입도의 입자를 수비해 내는 것이 가능한 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 수비액으로 아교수를 사용한 경우, 아교의 농도가 증가함에 따라 수비액의 점도가 증가하여 입자의 침강속 도가 감소하기 때문인 것으로 확인되었다. 결국 수비 공정에서 아교수를 사용한 것은 수비액의 점도를 증가시켜 수비를 통해 선별할 수 있는 입도의 범위를 확대하고, 보다 세밀한 입도 구간으로 입자를 선별하기 위한 것으로 판단된다. The effect of the glue solution were investigated in the grinding and elutriation process for manufacturing of White clay pigment. In grinding process, glue solution decreased the production of a too fine powder and enhanced the degree of sorting of ground pigments. The grinding performance and limit are generally influenced by the frictional force. Therefore, the friction force was measured in accordance with the grinding conditions. As a result of measuring a friction force, when using glue solution it showed the lowest friction. Finally, the application of glue solution in grinding process is believed to enhance the degree of sorting of ground pigments by reducing frictional force. In elutriation process, the application of glue solution enabled the screening of larger particles in the same conditions by reducing the sedimentation velocity. This result is due to increase in the viscosity of the glue solution according to glue concentration. As a result, the application of glue solution in elutriation process is though to enlarges the range of the selectable particle size and to enable the segmentation of the particles.

        소아 비만과 관련된 대사 이상을 예측하기 위한 체지방률의 절단값: 2007년 소아 청소년 신체발육 표준치를 기준으로

        Backgroud: Body mass index (BMI) for gender and age and percentage-weight-for-height (PWH) for gender and height have been frequently used to diagnose childhood obesity. However, few studies have examined the optimal cutoff of percent body fat (%BF) to predict metabolic abnormalities in obese children. Methods: One thousand fi fteen obese children aged 10 to 15 years were enrolled in this study. The %BF cutoff values were calculated by ROC analysis for metabolic abnormalities. We also calculated %BF cutoff values corresponding to a BMI of > 85th or 95th percentile for gender and age and a PWH of > 120% for gender and height based on the 2007 Korean children and adolescents growth standard chart. To defi ne metabolic abnormalities in children, we used the criteria of metabolic syndrome recommended by International Diabetes Federation consensus for children and adolescents. Results: The %BF cutoff corresponding to the group having more than one metabolic abnormality in this study population were 38.4% (sensitivity 40.1%, specifi city 84.4%) in total, 38.4% (sensitivity 35.4%, specifi city 84.8%) in boys and 39.5% (sensitivity 38.9%, specifi city 90.9%) in girls. The %BF cutoff values corresponding to a BMI ≥ 95 percentile were 38.1% (sensitivity 50.5%, specifi city 72.7%), a BMI ≥ 85 percentile were 34.5% (sensitivity 69.3%, specifi city 74.2%), and a PWH ≥ 120% were 36.4% (sensitivity 72.3%, specifi city 64.4%) in total. Conclusion: The optimal cutoff value of percent body fat to predict metabolic abnormalities in obese children may be 38.4% (boys 38.4, girls 39.5%) and we suggest 34.5% as a cutoff value of %BF for screening childhood obesity. 연구배경: 소아비만의 진단은 성별, 연령별 체질량지수 백분 위수나 표준체중에 대한 성별, 신장별 체중 백분율이 흔히 사 용하고 있으나 소아 비만으로 인한 대사 이상을 예측하기 위 한 체지방률의 기준에 대한 연구는 부족하다. 방법: 학교 신체검사에서 비만으로 판정받은 10-15세의 1,015명을 대상으로 2007년 소아 및 청소년 표준 성장도표와 2007년 국제당뇨병학회의 소아 대사증후군 진단기준을 이용 하여 Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) curve를 통해 대 사 이상의 위험을 조기에 발견하기 위한 적절한 체지방률의 절단점을 알아보았으며, 성별, 연령별 체질량지수 85 및 95백 분위수, 신장별 체중 백분율 120% 이상에 해당되는 체지방률 의 절단값을 구하였다. 결과: 대사 증후군의 위험인자가 1개 이상인 경우에 해당하 는 체지방률의 절단값은 38.4%였으며 민감도 40.1%, 특이도 84.4%였다. 성별로 남아의 체지방의 절단값은 38.4%, 여아는 39.5%이었다. 성별, 연령별 체질량지수 95백분위수 이상에 해 당하는 체지방률의 절단값은 38.1%였으며(민감도와 특이도 각각 55.1%, 72.7%), 85백분위수 이상에 해당하는 체지방률의 절단값은 34.5% (민감도와 특이도 각각 69.3%, 74.2%)였다. 표 준체중에 대한 성별, 신장별 체중 백분율 120% 이상에 해당되 는 체지방률의 절단값은 34.6%였으며 민감도와 특이도는 각 각 72.3%, 64.4%였다. 결론: 소아 비만으로 인한 대사 이상을 조기에 발견하기 위한 체지방률의 절단값으로는 38.4% (남아 38.4, 여아 39.5%)가, 소 아 비만의 선별검사로는 성별, 연령별 체질량지수 85백분위 수 이상 또는 성별, 신장별 체중 백분율 120% 이상에 해당하는 체지방률의 절단값인 34.5%가 적절하다고 생각된다.

      • 1분간 초최대운동시 무산소성과 유산소성 운동능력의 관여

        1분간 초최대 페달링운동시 발휘되는 기계적 운동량이 무산소성 최대파워(peak power)와 유산소성 운동능력 지표인 최대 산소섭취량과의 관련성을 살펴보기 위하여 체육을 전공하는 여대생 10명을 대상으로 자전거 에르고미터, 트레드밀을 이용한 호흡개스 및 최대 무산소성 파워를 측정하였다. 1차측정은 10초간 최대 무산소성 파워측정, 2차측정은 최대산소섭취량 측정을 실시하였으며 3차 측정은 1분간 자전거 에르고메터를 이용하여 5초간 발휘되는 기계적 일량 즉 무산소성 파워를 측정하여 상호 관련성을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. ① 본 연구의 대상인 체육을 전공하는 여대생의 최대 무산소성 파워(peak power)는 Wingate 측정시 367.5±43.81watt로 나타났으며 최대 산소섭취량은 46.1±5.23ml/kg/min으로 나타났다. ② 1분간 최대 페달링 운동시 발휘된 기계적 운동량은 최대 산소섭취량과 30초 이후부터 유의한(P<.05) 높은 상관도를 보였다. ③ 1분간 최대 페달링 운동시 발휘된 기계적 운동량은 무산소성 최대파워과 운동시간 초반부터 30초까지 유의한(P<.05) 높은 상관을 보였으나 30초 이후부터 상관도가 크게 떨어지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 무산소성 운동능력을 평가하는 측정은 유산소성 에너지 동원에 의한 기계적 운동량에 오염되지 않은 결과를 나타내야 하기 때문에 무산소성 운동능력 평가시 30초 이내의 운동시간대를 이용한 측정하는 방법이 실시되어야 한다. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between mechanical load(MWL) and Anaerobic peak power(APP), and between MWL and maximal oxygen consumption. Subjects(n=10) were female university students. MWL was taken every 5-sec at supramaximal exercise during 1-min Wingate test using bicycle ergometer. Maximal oxygen intake was measured during a progress exercise on a treadmill, and APP was measured during a 10-sec Wingate test. The following conclusions were attained by correlational analyses of the measured variables 1. The mean value of APP was 367.5±43.81watt, while that of maximal oxygen consumption was 46.1±5.23ml/kg/min. 2. When the values of MWL taken during the first 30-sec of supra-maximal pedalling exercise were correlated to maximal oxygen intake, there were no significant relationship between them. However, the value of maximal oxygen intake showed a significantly positive relationship with the values of MWL taken after 30-sec of the exercise (i.e. the value of 35 to 60 seconds) 3. The reverse patten of relationship was shown for anaerobic peak power. That is, anaerobic peak power showed a significantly positive correlation with to value of MWL taken only during the first 30-sec of maximal pedalling exercise. On the other hand, the values of MWL taken after 30-sec during 1-min maximal pedalling exercise did not showed any meaningful relationship with the value of anaerobic peak power. These results suggest that when the purpose of an experiment is to measure and evaluate the anaerobic capacity, the exercise should be done with a 30 sec of time limit. By doing so would possibly eliminate a component of aerobic energy which may result in a bias in the measurement process of anaerobic capacity.

      • 일부 도시 지역 청소년의 체격 발달과 최대성장발육연령에 관한 유사종단적 연구

        This is study was carried out to know physical growth and development, physical and nutritional indices, and maximum growth age of the accelerating phenomena by semi-longitudinal method to measure body height, body weight, chest girth and sitting height of 198 of high school 3rd grade students who were living in Seoul sity and born from 1 in 1977 to February 28 in 1978. The results were as follows; 1. Physical growth and development Body height grew one-step direct-development and body weight, chest-girth and sitting height grew two-step direct-development. Female excelled male in two-step development. Intersection phenomena of male and female showed ia case of body height; 12.0, body weight; 14.0, chest-girth;12.5~14.5, sitting-height;12~13, During this periods, female excelled male but after these periods, male excelled female again. 2. Physical and nutritional indices In all cases of relative body weight, relative chest girth and relative sitting height at was found to be increasing thereafter with advancing ages. In case of Rohrer index Kaup index it was to be reaching to normal state thereafter with advancing ages. In either cases of Vervaeck index it was found to be increasing and teaching to normal state thereafter with advancing ages. 3. Maximum growth age of physique M. G. A.'s were 12.31 for male 10.42 for female which showed that M. G. A. for female appeared about 2 years earlier than that for male, in body height. M. G. A.'s were 14.29 for male 12.83 for female which showed that M. G. A. for female appeared about 1.5 years earlier than that for male, in body weight. M. G. A.'s were 15.20 for male 13.42 for female which showed that M. G. A. for female appeared about 1.78 years earlier than that for male, in chest-girth. M. G. A.'s were 14.00 for male 12.80 for female which showed that M. G. A. for female appeared about 1.2 years earlier than that for male, in sitting height.

      • 무선 프린터 인터페이스 장치의 설계

        Many computers in the office and the laboratory of a school are generally interconnected through the Local Area Network (LAN). Users of computer interfaced with the LAN use the same printer with time sharing. Alternatively, they use the multi-user printer interface to print in the office which can't have LAN system due to the great expenses. Otherwise they have to connect directly moving the printer to computer. In this papaer, we present a new printer interface equipment which can interface a printer and multi computers through wireless using the radio frequency of about 430MHz. The tranceivers of the equipment consist of two part: one part is installed in parallel port of computer and other part is installed in Centronix port of printer. Their maximum data rate is 9600bps and the communication area is about 50 meters in best case. The merits of this equipment are low in cost and small in size.

      • 중탄산나트륨 섭취가 무산소성 파워에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to test the effect of ergogenic aid on athletic performance. The subjects were 8 handball players at a university. The subject performed 2 section of the progressive exercises until all-out on the treadmill : one having a placebo capsule, another having a real capsule of 300 mg NaHCO_3. During each exercise, the following measures were taken : VO_2max and peak BLa at all out : and VO_2 and BLa at the level of anaerobic threshold. A series of paired t-test were conducted to compare measures variables from these analyses. The following results were obtained from data analyses : 1. The mean value of VO_2max under the treatment was somewhat higher(4ml/kg/min) than that of under placebo, And exercise time was prolonged for 21 second. However these differences were not reached a statiscal significance. 2. The treatment group showed a larger value of accumulation of blood lactate when exercised beyond the level of AT(9.16:11.06mM). This results suggest that the intake of NaHCO_3 may result in the improvement of AT level.
