A Novel Unequal Broadband Out-of-Phase Power Divider Using DSPSLs
Yun Long Lu,Gao-Le Dai 한국전자통신연구원 2014 ETRI Journal Vol.36 No.1
In this paper, a novel unequal broadband out-of-phasepower divider (PD) is presented. Double-sided parallelstriplines (DSPSLs) are employed to achieve an out-ofphaseresponse. Also, an asymmetric dual-band matchingstructure with two external isolation resistors is utilized toobtain arbitrary unequal power division, in which theresistors are directly grounded for heat sinking. A throughground via (TGV), connecting the top and bottom sides ofthe DSPSLs, is used to short the isolation components. Additionally, this property can efficiently improve thebroadband matching and isolation bandwidths. Toinvestigate the proposed divider in detail, a set of designequations are derived based on the circuit theory andtransmission line theory. The theoretical analysis showsthat broadband responses can be obtained as properfrequency ratios are adopted. To verify the proposedconcept, a sample divider with a power division of 2:1 isdemonstrated. The measured results exhibit a broadbandwidth from 1.19 GHz to 2.19 GHz (59.2%) with areturn loss better than 10 dB and port isolation of 18 dB.
Novel Filtering Power Divider with External Isolation Resistors
Yun Long Lu,Shun Wang,Gao-Le Dai,Kai Li 한국전자통신연구원 2015 ETRI Journal Vol.37 No.1
In this paper, a novel filtering power divider with external isolation resistors is presented. The proposed power divider can be considered as an integration of a bandpass filter and a Gysel power divider. Based on the circuit topology, a high-order filtering power divider can be easily realized. Odd- and even-mode models are employed to analyze the filtering and power splitting functions. For demonstration, a third-order filtering power divider operating at 1.5 GHz is designed and implemented. The measured results exhibit an isolation between the output ports that is better than 20 dB at around the center frequency.

Background Endometrial carcinoma (EC) is the most prevalent gynecological cancer. Transcription factor (TF) regulates a large number of downstream target genes and is a key determinant of all physiological activities, including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and cell cycle. The transcription factor E2F1 shows prominent roles in EC. BMI1 is a member of Polycomb suppressor Complex 1 (PRC1) and has been shown to be associated with EC invasiveness. It is currently unclear whether E2F1 can participate in the proliferation, migration, and invasion processes of EC cells by regulating BMI1 transcription. Objective We investigated whether E2F1 could participate in the proliferation, migration, and invasion processes of EC cells by regulating BMI1 transcription, in order to further clarify the pathogenesis and etiology of EC, and provide reference for identifying potential therapeutic targets and developing effective prevention and treatment strategies for this disease. Methods Human endometrial epithelial cells (hEECs) and human EC cell lines were selected. E2F1 expression was assessed by Western blot. E2F1 was silenced in AN3CA or overexpressed in HEC-1 by transfections, or E2F1 was silenced and BMI1 was overexpressed in AN3CA by cotransfection. Cell proliferation, migration, and invasion were detected by MTT, wound healing, and Transwell assays. The binding sites between E2F1 and BMI1 promoters were predicted through JASPAR website, and the targeted binding was verified by dual-luciferase report and ChIP assays. Results E2F1 was up-regulated in human EC cell lines, with its expression highest in AN3CA, and lowest in HEC-1. AN3CA invasion, migration, and proliferation were repressed by E2F1 knockdown, while those of HEC-1 cells were promoted by E2F1 overexpression. E2F1 overexpression increased the activity of wild type BMI1 reporter vector promoter, while this promotion was weakened after mutation of the predicted binding site in the BMI1 promoter. In the precipitated E2F1, BMI1 promoter site level was higher than that of IgG immunoprecipitant. BMI1 silencing suppressed AN3CA cell growth. BMI1 overexpression partially abrogated E2F1 silencing-inhibited EC cell growth. Conclusion E2F1 promoted EC cell proliferation, invasion, and migration by promoting the transcription of BMI1.

The paper addresses the phenomenon of the opportunism that arises from a parent (principal) toward an IJV (agent) and its antecedents. This study integrates Agency Theory and Resource Dependence Theory (RDT) to discover its determinants from the perspectives of principal opportunism. Using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) techniques and fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) based on a sample of 185 Chinese-foreign IJVs in China, which are useful to reals the overall story of the principal opportunism. This study finds an IJV depends on parents’ support in both knowledge- and property-based resources has more chances to subject to principal opportunism. The result also indicates that psychic distance has a negative impact on principal opportunism. fsQCA, however, provides further solutions that the specific combinations of these predictors or their negation predicts principle opportunism.
HYERS-ULAM STABILITY OF DERIVATIONS IN FUZZY BANACH SPACE: REVISITED
Gang Lu,Yuanfeng Jin,Gang Wu,Sungsik Yun 한국수학교육학회 2018 純粹 및 應用數學 Vol.25 No.2
Lu et al. [27] dened derivations on fuzzy Banach spaces and fuzzy Lie Banach spaces and proved the Hyers-Ulam stability of derivations on fuzzy Banach spaces and fuzzy Lie Banach spaces. It is easy to show that the denitions of derivations on fuzzy Banach spaces and fuzzy Lie Banach spaces are wrong and so the results of [27] are wrong. Moreover, there are a lot of seroius problems in the statements and the proofs of the results in Sections 2 and 3. In this paper, we correct the denitions of biderivations on fuzzy Banach algebras and fuzzy Lie Banach algebras and the statements of the results in [27], and prove the corrected theorems.

Jeju Island known as the "Island of the Gods " is a popular vacation spot for not only Koreans but also for Chinese. Jeju Island off the southern coast of Korea has become the first Korean natural heritage site honoured by UNESCO through listing on its World Heritage List. It remains one of the top honeymoon destinations for Korean newlyweds. The island's mixture of volcanic rock frequent rains and temperate climate sets up the LOHAS image which is further enriched through its natural environs food offerings such as fresh fish squid octopus sea cucumber a number of restaurants whites beaches all ingredients of perfect healthy life styles delivered in n excellent setting especially for visitors coming from China looking for LOHAS-life style vacations at place away from home . Recently with added health consciousness Chinese consumer has developed a higher standard and requirement of food. Therefore there are a large number of challenges in offering truly LOHAS-related Korean food products at Jeju Island. This research takes "China LOHAS Food Tourism" as a core and extends and explores "LOHAS lifestyle" effects on consumer behaviors especially on the Korean food purchase activity in Jeju Island. The object of survey studies is Chinese Permanent Residents who are over 15 years of age and of mix gender both male and female without any prejudice. In order to carryon investigation this study firstly uses Factor Analysis method through SPSS. Two variables "LOHAS-Life Style and Korean Food Consumers' Behavior" are specially investigated as part of the study along withthrird element of LOHAS food purchasing factor." Second by using some relevant analyzing approaches this report also pays attention on discussing as how a specific factor affects "Activities of Purchasing Korean Food." For the purpose it compartmentalizes Chinese consumers into various "LOHAS Life Style" groups and then by using ANOVA and Crossable Analysis it analyzes the problem analytical. The purpose of this study is to help develop and promote LOHAS Food Tourism Industry in Jeju Island and raise the Jeju LOHAS Image among people patronizing this very island and related tourism industries.

International Joint Venture (IJV) is one of the most popular market entry mode in emerging markets. The instability and stability of IJV have also been receiving ongoing attention in the literature (e.g. Deitz et al. 2010; Kogut 1989; Rhoades & Lush 1997; Sim & Ali 2000). IJV instability and stability are often treated as opposite to one another in the literature, and assumed the factors that account for instability has an inverse impacts on stability. However, conceptually and empirically they are not exactly two contrasting phenomena. This study adopts the perspectives of Superficial Friendship theory (Yan 2010) to differentiate the determinants of IJV instability and stability and empirically compares their determinants. The results indicate that the factors that account for instability do not have inverse impacts on stability. The empirical results not only contribute to an understanding of the different drivers of IJV instability and stability but also have important implications for international business managers in both parents and IJVs with regard to keeping an IJV profitable and successful.

In this study, two near-isogenic lines (NILs) were selected from a series of chromosome segment substitution lines developed from an interspecific cross between Oryza sativa ssp. japonica cultivar ‘Hwaseongbyeo’ as a recipient parent and wild rice (Oryza grandiglumis) as the donor parent. Compared with Hwaseongbyeo control, one NIL (CR222) had reduced plant height and the other NIL (CR7501) displayed thicker basal and first internodes leading to increased lodging tolerance in the field condition. QTL analysis using progeny from crosses between Hwaseongbyeo and the NILs indicated that QTL for culm length and internode diameter leading to erect panicle were located on chromosomes 1 and 2, respectively. The major QTL for culm length on chromosome 1 was allelic to sd1 locus and the NIL showed the same sequence as the sd1 mutant cultivar ‘Reimei’. The QTL for the internode diameter was delimited to a 1-Mbp region on chromosome 2 and this QTL region harbors GW2 gene controlling grain width. The NIL with thick internode trait showed no undesirable pleiotropic effects and therefore has potential value for rice breeding for increasing lodging resistance.
