疎水性 環境이 Spermine에 의하여 誘發되는 凝縮된 DNA의 異例的 吸光度-溫度樣相에 미치는 影響
高東成,李天培,崔宇永,李璨容 충남대학교 1985 忠南科學硏究誌 Vol.12 No.2
We have investigated the effect of hydrophobic environmental reagents (urea and DMSO) on the anomalous absorbance-temperature profile of condensed DNA, induced by spermine. The cooperativity of the phase transition to the trough region in the anomalous absorbance-temperature profile is more sensitive to the hydrophobic environmental reagents than that of the melting region, and the trough peak size can be decreased by increased concentration of the hydrophobic reagents. The present data indicate the importance of hydrophobic interaction in the stabilization of the condensed state of DNA induced by spermine, and that the anomalous absorbance-temperature profile is due to the thermal stabilization of the tertiary structure of the spermine-induced collapsed state of the DNA.

Characterization and numerical identification were carried out for an actionmycetes SL20209. Morphological, cultural and physiological properties of SL20209 which produced valistatin and des-asp^4-amastatin as inhibitors of aminopeptidase M were evaluated. The isolate was identified to be the genus of Streptomyces. Fourty-three taxonomic units were analysed by using a TAXON program. The isolate was classified into the major cluster 29 of Streptomyces and best-matched to Streptomyces griseoplanus.

Liquiritigenin (LQ) is a flavonoid that can be isolated from Glycyrrhiza radix. It is frequently used as a tranditional oriental medicine herbal treatment for swelling and injury and for detoxification. However, the effects of LQ on cognitive function have not been fully explored. In this study, we evaluated the memory-enhancing effects of LQ and the underlying mechanisms with a focus on the N-methyl-D-aspartic acid receptor (NMDAR) in mice. Learning and memory ability were evaluated with the Y-maze and passive avoidance tests following administration of LQ. In addition, the expression of NMDAR subunits 1, 2A, and 2B; postsynaptic density-95 (PSD-95); phosphorylation of Ca2+/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII); phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK 1/2); and phosphorylation of cAMP response element binding (CREB) proteins were examined by Western blot. In vivo, we found that treatment with LQ significantly improved memory performance in both behavioral tests. In vitro, LQ significantly increased NMDARs in the hippocampus. Furthermore, LQ significantly increased PSD-95 expression as well as CaMKII, ERK, and CREB phosphorylation in the hippocampus. Taken together, our results suggest that LQ has cognition enhancing activities and that these effects are mediated, in part, by activation of the NMDAR and CREB signaling pathways.

Ko Park, Sang-Hee,Hwang, Chi-Sun,Byun, Chun-Won,Ryu, Min-Ki,Lee, Jeong-Ik,Chu, Hye-Yong,Cho, Kyoung-Ik,Chae, Jang-Youl,Han, Se-Jin The Korean Infomation Display Society 2007 建設技術情報 Vol.2007 No.8
We have fabricated 3.5” transparent AM-OLED panel driven by PEALD grown ZnO TFT. The performance of ZnO thin film transistor was improved by adapting top gate structure, protection layer for ZnO from photolithography process, optimizing temperature and plasma power of ZnO growth process. The ZnO-TFT has a mobility of <TEX>$8.9cm^2/V.s$</TEX>, a subthreshold swing of 0.95V, and an on/off ratio of <TEX>$10^7$</TEX>.

The synthesized chelating fiber showed a high adsorption capacity of 11.4mequiv/g. Interestingly, the crystal growth of copper ions on the chelating fiber was observed during the adsorption process. The chelating fiber packed column showed the high performance of the removal of Cu(II) in the aqueous solution due to the distinct characteristic of the crystal growth of metal ions on the chelating fiber. After Cu(II) adsorption on the chelating fiber, the color of the fiber changed to light blue from yellow. The isotherm parameter <I>n</I> of 1.991 was obtained with Freundlich isotherm model for the adsorption equilibrium study which indicates that Cu(II) adsorption on the chelating fiber is very favorable due to <I>n</I>>1. The pseudo-first-order and pseudo-second-order model equations were used for the kinetic study.</P>
