        Dynamic Response Analysis and Model Test Research on K6 Single-Layer Spherical Reticulated Shells Subjected to Impact Load

        To study the dynamic response characteristics and failure process of single-layer spherical reticulated shells under impact loads at diff erent loading points, impact dynamic analysis and experimental study are conducted on the K6 single-layer reticulated shell structure. First, the basic theory of numerical calculation and the model parameters are described. Then, dynamic response analysis under impact load is done by choosing diff erent impact points. Finally, the impact test is performed on a large-scale shell model, dynamic response data of key members and nodes of shell structure are obtained, and the shell deformation and destruction process is recorded by a high-speed camera. The results show that the structural dynamic response gradually increases farther from the base point under the same impact force. The nearer the impact point is, the earlier the response occurs, and the larger the corresponding amplitude will be. The apex is the most unfavorable impact loading point, and the member at the apex should be strengthened for impact resistant design of the reticulated shell. The transmission time of the impact dynamic response from the impact site to the entire reticulated shell is short.

        CO2 capture performance of cement-modified carbide slag

        A novel and low-cost synthetic CO2 sorbent for calcium looping process, cement-modified carbide slag (CMCS), was synthesized from carbide slag, aluminate cement and by-product of biodiesel by combustion. The effects of synthesis conditions such as combustion temperature, combustion duration, hydration, by-product of biodiesel and cement addition and regeneration temperature on CO2 capture performance of CMCS were investigated. The comprehensively optimum preparation conditions of CMCS were obtained. The highest CO2 capture capacity is 0.62 g/g after 10 cycles, which is 2.18 times as high as that of carbide slag. The addition of aluminate cement improves the CO2 capture performance of CMCS, while excessive aluminate cement is adverse for CO2 capture due to the reduced CaO content in CMCS. The addition of by-product of biodiesel contributes to a uniform sol mixing of carbide slag and cement. The CMCS exhibits higher carbonation and calcination rates than CS. The porous and stable pore structure leads to the better CO2 capture performance and cyclic stability of CMCS.

        20대 중국인들의 자궁경부암 예방 행동의도에 미치는 영향 요인은 무엇인가?: 자기효능감, 공포감의 변인을 중심으로 한 건강신념모델의 확장

        본 연구는 건강신념모델(Health Belief Model: HBM)을 적용하여 20대 중국인들의 자궁경부암 예방접종 행동의도에 미치는 영향 요인들이 무엇인지 조사하였다. 이 연구는 기존의 건강신념모델을 구성하는 변인들에 부가적으로 자기효능감, 공포감의 변인을 추가하고, 지각된 건강상태, 지식수준, 성경험 여부의 통제변인을 포함하여 좀 더 다차원적인 관점에서 자궁경부암 예방행동의도를 예측하고자 하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 기존의 건강신념 모델에서 지각된 민감성은 자궁경부암 예방행동의도에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미친 반면 지각된 장애는 유의미한 부적 관계를 나타내었다. 아울러 자기효능감과 공포감은 자궁경부암 예방행동의도에 유의미한 정적인 영향을 미쳤고, 통제변인으로 지각된 건강상태와 성경험이 예방행동의도에 유의미한 정적 영향을 나타냈다. 이 같은 결과들은 건강신념모델이 중국 젊은이들의 자궁경부암 예방행동의도를 예측하는 데에도 타당한 모형임을 암시하였다. 즉, 서구가 아닌 중국 문화권에서의 건강신념모델의 적용 가능성을 확인하였고 향후 중국에서 자궁경부암 예방 캠페인 메시지 전략을 수립하는데 유용한 실무적인 함의를 제공하였다. This study examined what factors are influential in promoting the preventive inoculation of cervical cancer for young Chinese people based on the Health Belief Model. Particularly, this study investigated the influence of demographic variables, four main variables of the HBM(perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefit, perceived barrier), perceived health status, self-efficacy and fear on the behavioral intention of cervical cancer prevention. After performing a series of regression analysis, this study found that the experience of sex, perceived susceptibility, perceived health status, self-efficacy, and fear positively influenced the vaccination intention. On the other hand, perceived barrier was negatively associated with the behavioral intention. The results indicated the high external validity of HBM in the Chinese health communication phenomenon. In addition, this study discussed diverse practical implications to help practitioners effectively plan a preventive communication campaign in China.

        Energy-Saving Strategy for Green Cognitive Radio Networks with an LTE-Advanced Structure

        A green cognitive radio network (CRN), characterized by base stations (BSs) that conserve energy during sleep periods, is a promising candidate for realizing more efficient spectrum allocation. To improve the spectrum efficiency and achieve greener communication in wireless applications, we consider CRNs with an long term evolution advanced (LTE-A) structure and propose a novel energy-saving strategy. By establishing a type of preemptive priority queueing model with a single vacation, we capture the stochastic behavior of the proposed strategy. Using the method of matrix geometric solutions, we derive the performance measures in terms of the average latency of secondary user (SU) packets and the energy-saving degree of BSs. Furthermore, we provide numerical results to demonstrate the influence of the sleeping parameter on the system performance. Finally, we compare the Nash equilibrium behavior and social optimization behavior of the proposed strategy to present a pricing policy for SU packets.

        Accuracy of three-dimensional periodontal ligament models generated using cone-beam computed tomography at different resolutions for the assessment of periodontal bone loss

        Objective: To develop a method for generating three-dimensional (3D) digital models of the periodontal ligament (PDL) using 3D cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) reconstruction and to evaluate the accuracy and agreement of the 3D PDL models in the measurement of periodontal bone loss. Methods: CBCT data collected from four patients with skeletal Class III malocclusion prior to periodontal surgery were reconstructed at three voxel sizes (0.2 mm, 0.25 mm, and 0.3 mm), and 3D tooth and alveolar bone models were generated to obtain digital PDL models for the maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth. Linear measurements of the alveolar bone crest obtained during periodontal surgery were compared with the digital measurements for assessment of the accuracy of the digital models. The agreement and reliability of the digital PDL models were analyzed using intra- and interexaminer correlation coefficients and Bland–Altman plots. Results: Digital models of the maxillary and mandibular anterior teeth, PDL, and alveolar bone of the four patients were successfully established. Relative to the intraoperative measurements, linear measurements obtained from the 3D digital models were accurate, and there were no significant differences among different voxel sizes at different sites. High diagnostic coincidence rates were found for the maxillary anterior teeth. The digital models showed high intra- and interexaminer agreement. Conclusions: Digital PDL models generated by 3D CBCT reconstruction can provide accurate and useful information regarding the alveolar crest morphology and facilitate reproducible measurements. This could assist clinicians in the evaluation of periodontal prognosis and establishment of an appropriate orthodontic treatment plan.
