        An environmentally friendly wide temperature CeWTiOx catalyst with superior performance for the selective catalytic reduction NOx with NH3

        A promising CeWTiOx catalyst for selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3 had been prepared by a facile one-pot solvothermal method, and the NO conversion could reach to 84% at 180 °C and maintain above 92% at the temperature range 200–460 °C. According to the NH3-TPD and N2 adsorption–desorption, surface acidity and surface area (229.44 m2/g) of the catalysts were enhanced significantly, both of them were beneficial to the NH3 adsorption in the SCR process. Besides, the results of XRD, XPS, Raman spectra and TEM indicated that the high dispersion of cerium active species as well as tungsten on anatase TiO2 was also indispensably for the excellent SCR performance. Combined with the strong reduction capacity from H2-TPR analysis as well as the enrichment of oxygen vacancy, it deserved the fine catalytic ability. More importantly, the strong synergistic effect between the Ce–W–Ti formed in the solvothermal system enhanced the catalyst’s resistance to H2O and SO2. Thus the solvothermal synthesis showed an attractive perspective in the preparation of metal oxides catalysts for the SCR process.

        Influence of Al Addition Upon the Microstructure and Mechanical Property of Dual‑Phase 9Cr‑ODS Steels

        With Al addition, dual-phase oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) steels consisting of martensite and ferrite are fabricatedby spark plasma sintering. It is found that Al addition has a negligible effect on martensite lath size, while the amount andsize of ferrite grains are related to the Al content. M23C6(M = Fe, Cr) carbides have been identified within the ferrite grainsor along ferrite boundaries. With increasing Al concentration, more fine Y–Al–O oxide nanoparticles are formed. Uponannealing treatment, homogeneous and refined distribution of ferrite grains is obtained, which may involve the particlestimulatednucleation of recrystallization caused by the large sized M23C6. As Al is increased from 0.05 to 0.1 wt%, thetensile strength of the annealed steel is decreased, as well as its ductility. For the annealed 9Cr-ODS steel containing 0.1 wt%Al, in tensile loading the large sized M23C6along ferrite boundaries would facilitate the cracking along boundaries betweenthe hard annealed ferrite and soft annealed martensite, producing the mixed fracture of dimple and intergranular fracture.

        Dependency of Portevin-LeChatelier Effect and Microstructure Characteristics of 9Cr ODS Steels on Strain Rates Upon Hot Deformation

        The flow stress and microstructure evolution of 9Cr oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) steels were investigated by isothermalcompression at 1000–1150 oC with strain rates from 0.001 to 1 s−1. Microstructure characteristics of ODS steelsunder various condition were studied using the EBSD and TEM techniques. At each deformation temperature, PortevinLe--Chatelier (PLC) effect characteristics of repeated serrated stress was observed, as the strain rates were 0.01, 0.1 and 1 s−1. The serrations fluctuated about the mean flow curve in quick succession, and the critical strain for the PLC effect was relatedto both the deformation temperature and strain rates. The stress drops at strain rates of 0.01 and 0.1 s−1 were smaller thanthose at 1 s−1. The strain rate affected the dynamic recovery and recrystallization of austenite grains, as well as the texturecomponents of martensite transformed from austenite. Cap-shaped oxide particles in as-fabricated and hot deformed steelswere characterized in detail. The cap parts of cap-shaped oxide particles were depleted of alloying elements, and the capswere crystal or amorphous. Large-sized oxide particles were easier to be deformed than small-sized ones. Despite of theoxide deformation, the PLC effect was still suggested to be related to the solute-dislocation interaction.

      • Reactive Power-Voltage Integrated Control Method Based on MCR

        In power system, the voltage pulsation and deficiency or surplus of reactive power will have a great effect on the quality of electric power supply. Dynamicly local reactive power compensation is one of the best methods to reduce the power network loss and improve the efficiency of transmission and distribution.Through the effective methods of compensation, we can keep the balance of reactive power in the maximum degree by the maintenance of acceptable voltage. This paper firstly describes the principles of synthetic compensation of reactive power and voltage then analyzes the principle of magnetically controlled reactor-MCR in detail and derives the characteristics, secondly analyses the disadvantages of the conventional reactive power compensation devices and the advantages of MCR, thirdly on this basis designs a control strategy of reactive power and voltage which is based on MCR,so as to achieve the goal of dynamic reactive power compensation. At the end of paper, simulator and experimental research are carried out for the model of compensation method; the results accord with the theoretical analyses done before. So the compensation method is proved to be accurate in theory and feasible in practice.

        CYP19 gene variant confers susceptibility to endometriosis-associated infertility in Chinese women

        An aromatase encoded by the CYP19 gene catalyzes the final step in the biosynthesis of estrogens, which is related to endometriosis development. To assess the association of CYP19 gene polymorphisms with the risks of endometriosis, chocolate cysts and endometriosis-related infertility, a case–control study was conducted in Chinese Han women by recruiting 225 healthy control females, 146 patients with endometriosis, 94 endometriosis women with chocolate cyst and 65 women with infertility resulting from endometriosis, as diagnosed by both pathological and laparoscopic findings. Individual genotypes atrs2236722:T4C, rs700518:A4G, rs10046:T4C and [TTTA]n polymorphisms were identified. Allelic and genotypic frequencies were compared between the control group and case groups by chi-square analysis. Odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) were determined by logistic regression analysis to predict the association of CYP19 gene polymorphisms with the risk of endometriosis, the related chocolate cysts and infertility. The genotype distributions of the tested CYP19 gene polymorphisms were not significantly different between the healthy control group and the endometriosis/endometriosis with the chocolate cyst group. However, the CYP19 rs700518AA genotype was significantly associated with an increased risk of endometriosis-related infertility (55.4% in the infertility group vs 25.3% in the control group, Po0.001;OR (95% CI): 3.66 (2.06–6.50)) under the recessive form of the A allele. Therefore, we concluded that in Chinese Han females CYP19 gene polymorphisms are not associated with susceptibility to endometriosis or chocolate cysts, whereas CYP19 rs700518AA genotype confers genetic susceptibility to endometriosis-related infertility.

      • A Road Vehicle Detection Algorithm Based on Compressive Sensing

        With the aim to solve the problems of large amount of image data transmission and low accuracy of the initial background image extracted in traditional vehicle detecting system, this article proposes a road vehicle detecting algorithm based on compressive sensing. Image signals are sparse in a wavelet basis and the Gaussian random measurement matrix is adopted to compress videos, which reduce the amount of image data transmission. This article uses the proposed improved initial background extracting method and selective background updating method to obtain the initial background image and background updating which improves the accuracy of the initial background image. The vehicle detection and selective reconstruction of foreground image of vehicle are achieved by integrated background subtraction and the orthogonal matching pursuit algorithm. Through many experiments in video monitoring of real scenes, the article proves the correctness and efficiency of the algorithm. It not only improves the accuracy of the initial background image extracted but also reduces the amount of image data transmission and power consumption as well as the price of video transmission.

        Establishment of the Lunar Phase Morphological Classification for Cervical Spinal Canal

        Study Design: Retrospective clinical trial.Purpose: To establish a morphological classification of the cervical spinal canal using its parameters.Overview of Literature: Cervical spine computed tomography (CT) data of 200 healthy volunteers in 2 years were analyzed. The morphology of the spinal cord was also analyzed.Methods: The median sagittal diameter and transverse diameter of the spinal canal from C2 to C7 were measured on CT images. The ratio of the median sagittal diameter to the transverse diameter was calculated. Accordingly, the spinal canal shape of each segment was classified into four, and the specific criteria of lunar phase classification were determined through linear discriminant analysis based on the ratio of the median sagittal diameter to the transverse diameter. The inter-rater reliability of the classification was explored using Kappa coefficients. Finally, the morphology of the different segments of the cervical spinal canal in healthy volunteers was revised and compared.Results: According to the ratio of the median sagittal diameter and the transverse diameter of the cervical spinal canal, the lunar phase classification of the cervical bony spinal canal was determined as follows: full-moon >0.65, 0.55< convex-moon ≤0.65, 0.46≤ quarter-moon ≤0.55, and residual-moon <0.46. The Kappa values of C2–C7 were 0.851, 0.958, 0.823, 0.927, 0.793, and 0.946, and the Kappa value of all C2–C7 segments was 0.854 that mainly presented two forms of full-moon (76.5%) and convex-moon (23.0%). A quarter-moon spinal canal was mainly distributed in C3, C4, C5, and C6; a residual-moon spinal canal was mainly distributed in C4 and C5; and the morphological distribution of C4 and C5 were similar (<i>p</i>>0.05). The frequency of the spinal canal of the residual-moon type was the highest, and the full-moon (6.5%) and residual-moon (7.5%) types of C7 were rare.Conclusions: The morphological classification of the cervical spinal canal was established to present anatomical variations. The classification showed good inter-rater reliability.
