        Rapid Increase in Marrow Fat Content and Decrease in Marrow Perfusion in Lumbar Vertebra Following Bilateral Oophorectomy: An MR Imaging-Based Prospective Longitudinal Study

        Bilateral oophorectomy leads to reduced bone mineral density (BMD), and reduced BMD is associated with increased marrow fat and reduced marrow perfusion. Purpose of this study was to investigate how soon these changes occur following surgical oophorectomy. Six patients who underwent hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy were studied. At baseline, mean patient age was 49.5 years (range: 45–54 years). Third lumbar vertebral body BMD measurement using quantitative CT, marrow fat fraction (FF) using MR spectroscopy and marrow perfusion using dynamic contrast enhanced MRI were conducted immediately prior to surgery and at 3, 9, and 21 months after surgery. Reduced BMD, increased marrow FF, and reduced marrow perfusion occurred synchronously post-oophorectomy. There was a sharp decrease of 12.5 ± 7.2% in BMD (n = 6), a sharp increase of 92.2 ± 46.3% (n = 6) in FF, a sharp decrease of 23.6 ± 3.9% in maximum contrast enhancement (n = 5), and of 45.4 ± 7.7% for enhancement slope (n = 5) during the initial 3 months post surgery. BMD and marrow perfusion continued to decrease, and marrow FF continued to increase at a slower rate during the following 18 months. Friedman test showed a significant trend for these changes (p < 0.05). Bilateral oophorectomy leads to a rapid decrease in lumbar BMD, an increase in marrow fat content, and a decrease in marrow blood perfusion.

        Theoretical study on photoelectric properties of lead-free mixed inorganic perovskite RbGe1-xSnxI3

        The recent discoveries of lead-free halide perovskites have come into notice as promising photovoltaic materials due to their high solar-to-electrical efficiency conversion. However, these perovskites suffer from large effective masses, wide band gap and affected photovoltaic performance. It is well known that it is an effective means to overcome the above shortcomings by changing the metallic ion concentration and position for the inorganic perovskite. Herein, we study the geometrical, electronic, and optical properties of RbGe1-xSnxI3 with various compositions of metal atoms by performing the Density Functional Theory (DFT). Besides, we systematically investigate how the doping positions of stannum (Sn) atoms affect the electronic structure by taking mixed metal RbGe0.50Sn0.50I3 compound as an example. The results show that RbGe1-xSnxI3 exhibits the semiconducting property with the tunable direct band gaps by changing its proportions. Compared to other two doping positions in the perovskite RbGe0.50Sn0.50I3, the configuration with Sn atom at equator plane has better mobility of electron and optical absorption properties. Our works demonstrate that the modification of metal concentration and position will modulate the optoelectronic performance and photovoltaic properties of mixed metal perovskites.

        중국 하이난 무형문화재의 가상현실과 인터랙티브 콘텐츠 연구 — 여족의 ‘배 모양 집’을 사례로

        하이난은 중국 최남단에 위치하는데, 예로부터 실크로드의 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있다. 하이난은 소수문화와 해양문화를 중심으로 무형문화유산이 풍부한 곳이다. 하이난은 무형문화재의 개발과 활용에 주력하여 실물 전시 및 민속행사를 위주로 해왔다. 현대 디지털 시대의 문화유산의 전승과 발전은 전통적인 수단에 국한되어서는 안 되며 디지털 기술의 융합은 문화유산 발전의 방향이 될 것이다. 하이난 여족의 무형문화유산을 디지털화하는 방법을 모색하기 위한 가상현실 구축 플랫폼으로 여족 무형문화유산을 제시하였다. 이 플랫폼은 하이난의 유형문화유산을 연구 대상으로 하며, 애니메이션, 디자인, 가상의 인터랙티브와 문화적인 입장에서 볼 수 있다. 무형문화유산의 디지털화라는 현대의 큰 환경 속에서 가상현실 플랫폼을 구축하여 하이난의 유형문화유산의 전승과 발전 가능성을 탐구하였다. 본 논문은 무형문화유산의 디지털화 현황을 검토해 하이난 여족의 무형문화유산이 겪는 애로사항을 보여준다. 또 여족의 배 모양 집 건축기술을 분석해 가상현실로 조성하는 방법과 내용을 제시했고, 무형문화재의 가상현실 플랫폼에 대한 전통기술을 적용하는데 어떤 역할을 했는지 분석했다. 본 연구를 통해 하이난의 다른 무형문화유산과, 중국의 타 지역 무형문화유산의 디지털화에도 참고 자료가 될 것으로 기대한다. Hainan is located at the southernmost tip of China and has occupied an important position on the Silk Road since ancient times. Hainan culture is dominated by minority cultures and marine cultures, and has a rich intangible cultural heritage. Hainan has always been committed to the development and utilization of intangible cultural heritage, and the development direction is mainly based on live display and folk activities. The creation of Hainan’s cultural spirit is imminent. Cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage are important aspects of the cultural spirit. Their inheritance and development cannot be limited to traditional means. The integration of digital technology will be the development direction of cultural heritage and intangible cultural heritage. This paper enumerates and analyzes other cases and academic directions of intangible cultural heritage, combined with the present situation of intangible cultural heritage in Hainan, analyzes the predicament of handiwork inheritance in Hainan intangible cultural heritage, expounds the structure, humanistic connotation and construction skills of Li nationality ship house, and summarizes the role of virtual reality platform of intangible cultural heritage in promoting the intangible cultural heritage of traditional skills. It also puts forward the scheme and content of virtual reality construction, and provides the process of building a virtual reality platform for the intangible cultural heritage of ship-shaped houses, which can be used as a reference for intangible cultural heritage researchers in other areas. at the same time, it fills the gap for the digitization of the intangible cultural heritage in Hainan.

        Comparison of Gayal (Bos frontalis) and Yunnan Yellow Cattle (Bos taurus): In vitro Dry Matter Digestibility and Gas Production for a Range of Forages

        Three male Gayal, two years of age and with a mean live weight of $203{\pm}26$ kg, and three adult Yunnan Yellow Cattle, with a mean live weight of $338{\pm}18$ kg were fed a ration of pelleted lucerne hay and used to collect rumen fluid for in vitro measurements of digestibilities and gas production from fermentation of a range of forages. The forages were: bamboo stems, bamboo twigs, bamboo leaves, rice straw, barley straw, annual ryegrass hay, smooth vetch hay and pelleted lucerne hay. There were significant (p<0.05) effects of the source of rumen fluid on in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD) and gas production during fermentation of forage. For the roughage of lowest quality (bamboo stems and rice straw), gas production during fermentation was higher (p<0.05) in the presence of rumen fluid from Gayal than Yunnan Yellow Cattle. Differences for these parameters were found for the better quality roughages with gas production being enhanced in the presence of rumen fluid from Yunnan Yellow Cattle. Moreover, the IVDMD of investigated roughages was significantly higher (p<0.05) in Gayal than Yunnan Yellow Cattle. The results offer an explanation for the positive live weight gains recorded for Gayal foraging in their natural environment where the normal diet consists of poor quality roughages.

        Deterministic Secure Quantum Communication Without Maximally Entangled States

        Two deterministic secure quantum communication schemes are proposed, one based on pure entangled states and the other on d-dimensional single-photon states. In these two schemes, only single-photon measurements are required for the two authorized users, which makes the schemes more convenient than others in practical applications. Although each qubit can be read out after a transmission of additional classical bit, it is unnecessary for the users to transmit qubits double the distance between the sender and the receiver, which will increase their bit rate and their security. The parties use decoy photons to check eavesdropping efficiently. The obvious advantage in the first scheme is that the pure entangled source is feasible with present techniques.

        Synthesis and Studies on Anticonvulsant and Antidepressant Activities of 5-Alkoxy-tetrazolo[1,5-a]quinolines

        A series of 5-alkoxy-tetrazolo[1,5-a]quinolines were synthesized to evaluate their anticonvulsant and antidepressant effects. Anticonvulsant effects and neurotoxicity of the compounds when injected intraperitoneally to mice were determined by a maximal electroshock (MES) test and a rotarod test, respectively. Only three of the synthesized compounds (4a, 4b, 4c) displayed anticonvulsant activity at a dose of 300 mg/kg. Most of the compounds significantly reduced immobility times during the forced swimming test (FST) at a dose of 100 mg/kg, indicative of antidepressant activity. Among the compounds, 5-(2-fluorobenzyloxy)tetrazolo[1,5-a]quinoline (4k) reduced immobility time by 66.85% at 30 mg/kg compared with the same dose of Fluoxetine, which reduced immobility time by 52.30%. According to the results of the 5-Hydroxytryptophan induced head-twitch test and yohimbine toxicity potentiation test, the noradrenergic system seems not to be involved in the antidepressant-like effect of compound 4k while the serotonergic system seems a little to be involved.

        Phylogenetic Analysis of 16S rDNA Sequences Manifest Rumen Bacterial Diversity in Gayals (Bos frontalis) Fed Fresh Bamboo Leaves and Twigs (Sinarumdinaria)

        Six male Gayal (Bos frontalis), approximately two years of age and with a mean live weight of $203{\pm}17$ kg ($mean{\pm}standard\;deviation$), were housed indoors in metabolism cages and fed bamboo (Sinarundinaria) leaves and twigs. After an adjustment period of 24 days of feeding the diet, samples of rumen liquor were obtained for analyses of bacteria in the liquor. The diversity of rumen bacteria was investigated by constructing a 16S rDNA clone library. A total of 147 clones, comprising nearly full length sequences (with a mean length of 1.5 kb) were sequenced and submitted to an on-line similarity search and phylogenetic analysis. Using the criterion of 97% or greater similarity with the sequences of known bacteria, 17 clones were identified as Ruminococcus albus, Butyrivibrio fibrosolvens, Quinella ovalis, Clostridium symbiosium, Succiniclasticum ruminis, Selenomonas ruminantium and Allisonella histaminiformans, respectively. A further 22 clones shared similarity ranging from 90-97% with known bacteria but the similarity in sequences for the remaining 109 clones was less than 90% of those of known bacteria. Using a phylogenetic analysis it was found that the majority of the clones identified (57.1%) were located in the low G+C subdivision, with most of the remainder (42.2% of clones) located in the Cytophage-Flexibacter-Bacteroides (CFB) phylum and one clone (0.7%) was identified as a Spirochaete. It was apparent that Gayal have a large and diverse range of bacteria in the rumen liquor which differ from those of cattle and other ruminants. This may explain the greater live weights of Gayal, compared to cattle, grazing in the harsh natural environments in which Gayal are located naturally.

        Design and evaluation of an innovative LWR fuel combined dual-cooled annular geometry and SiC cladding materials

        Dual-cooled annular fuel allows a significant increase in power density while maintaining or improving safety margins. However, the dual-cooled design brings much higher Zircaloy charge in reactor core, which could cause a great threaten of hydrogen explosion during severe accidents. Hence, an innovative fuel combined dual-cooled annular geometry and SiC cladding was proposed for the first time in this study. Capabilities of fuel design and behavior simulation were developed for this new fuel by the upgrade of FROBA-ANNULAR code. Considering characteristics of both SiC cladding and dual-cooled annular geometry, the basic fuel design was proposed and preliminary proved to be feasible. After that, a design optimization study was conducted, and the optimal values of as-fabricated plenum pressure and gas gap sizes were obtained. Finally, the performance simulation of the new fuel was carried out with the full consideration of realistic operation conditions. Results indicate that in addition to possessing advantages of both dual-cooled annular fuel and accident tolerant cladding at the same time, this innovative fuel could overcome the brittle failure issue of SiC induced by pellet-cladding interaction.

        LSKL, a Peptide Antagonist of Thrombospondin-1, Attenuates Renal Interstitial Fibrosis in Rats with Unilateral Ureteral Obstruction

        The effects of LSKL, the peptide antagonist of thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1), on renal interstitial fibrosis in rats subjected to unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO) were investigated. Rats were divided randomly into three groups (n = 20 each): UUO group, sham-operation group and UUO plus LSKL treatment group. Collagen deposition was studied using histopathology and reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction analysis (RT-PCR). TSP-1, transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1), phosphorylated Smad2 (pSsmad2) and α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) in the kidney were measured using immunocytochemistry, western blotting analysis, RT-PCR and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Biochemical analyses in the serum and urine were made. Histopathology showed severe tubular dilatation and atrophy, interstitial inflammation and collagen accumulation after surgery and LSKL significantly inhibited interstitial fibrosis including tubular injury as well as collagen deposition. The protein and mRNA levels of TSP-1 increased notably at different time point and significantly decreased in the presence of LSKL. The expression of TGF-β1 and pSmad2 were upregulated in the obstructed kidney and substantially suppressed by LSKL treatment. Myofibroblast accumulation could be alleviated after administration of LSKL. Biochemical parameters did not show differences among the three groups. As TSP-1 is the major activator of TGF-β1, we demonstrate that LSKL can attenuate renal interstitial fibrosis in vivo by preventing TSP-1-mediated TGF-β1 activation.

      • Historical Transformation of Mass Aesthetics for Short Videos in the Post-media Era

        Under the vicissitudes of the new media tide, mass aesthetics has become increasingly differentiated, while the change in aesthetics is also inextricably linked to the transformation of market forms. There are mainly two common patterns for new media presentations. One is classified labeling. The second pattern is to offer marketing guidance by constantly changing and adjusting their original content to appeal to a more diversified audience. After short videos have experienced several years of development and accumulation, capital has successively intervened by entering the upper reaches of the industry, pulling in quality resources and expanding the circle of users. However, the swift evolution of short videos is inevitably linked to the aesthetic trends of the mainstream population. Short videos take advantage of this trend to constantly transform themselves, turning complete video content structures into fragmented text stories. These stories cater to the aesthetic orientation of users in the post-media era to cater to the aesthetic orientation of users in the post-media era. Short videos that resonate emotionally through comments and likes will continue to establish the position of short video promotion in the feedback and aesthetics of the audience of the cultural industry. Thus, it is absolutely essential to analyze the historical transformation of mass aesthetics for short videos in the post-media era.
