        光陽金鑛床, 高興銅鑛床의 鑛床生成과 巖石學的 硏究

        The Gwangyang gold deposits geologically consist of granitic gneiss, metatectic gneiss and porphyroblastic gneiss which correspond to Jirisan gneiss complex. The formations of Gyeongsang system lies unconformably on these gneisses and are intruded by diorite, porphyritic andesite and Bulgugsa granites. Goheung districts are composed of quartz schist, andesitic rock, tuff and granite. The Gwangyang gold deposits are gold bearing fissure filling veins. The vein thickness varies from 15cm to 40cm and they consist of 7-10 layers in parallel. The Goheung copper deposits are sulphide bearing quartz veln which filled the fracture in andesitic rock and biotite granite. The contact zone of these rocks is partially altered. The mineral paragenesis of the Gwangyang and Goheung districts is pyrite, arsenopyrite, pyrrhotite, chalcopyrite, sphalerite, galena, sericite, quartz and calcite. The variation trends of FMA and A’KF triangular diagrams and the differentiation index (norm, Q + Or + Ab) versus oxides diagrams is similar to the Gyeonsang basin igneous rocks. From the trace element analysis of 10 samples of country rocks, wall rocks and veins, the distribution of copper and lead contents display a correlative distribution pattern in relation to gold and silver. Homogenization temperature of fluid inclusions range from 200℃ to 270℃ in quartz from the Gwangyang gold vein and the size of fluid inclusion range from 0.01mm to 0.04mm. The fluid inclusions are mainly one or two phase and the filling degree of the inclusions varies from 85 to 95.

        고속 처리가 가능한 다중처리 Nand 플래시 Controller

        NAND 플래시 메모리를 이용한 카드가 보편화되어 이제는 대량의 멀티미디어 데이터를 모두 저장할 수 있는 수준에 이르렀다. 하지만 NAND 플래시 셀(cell)의 느린 동작으로 인하여 대량의 데이터를 빠르게 전송하기에는 많이 부족한 수준이다. 즉 대량의 멀티미디어 데이터를 NAND 플래시 메모리 카드로 전송할 경우 많은 시간이 걸리는 단점이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 데이터 전송률을 높이기 위한 새로운 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어의 구조를 제안한다. 제안하는 구조에서는 기존의 직렬 처리(serial processing) 기법과 다른, 다중 처리(multiprocessing) 기법을 사용하였다. 제안된 구조를 이용하여 VIP(Viritual IP) 환경에서 시뮬레이션 하고 FPGA 보드환경에서 최종 실험하였다. 실험 결과 VIP환경에서는 160MB/s의 다운로드 성능을 볼 수 있었으며, FPGA 보드환경에서는 85.3MB/s의 다운로드 성능을 볼 수 있었다. Lately, NAND flash cards have been used to store massive amounts of multimedia data. However, these nand flash cells itself has a slow operation time and by that, the nand flash cards are not appropriate for high performance massive data transfer. Indeed, most flash card products have a disadvantage in that they require plenty of time to transfer massive amounts of data. Therefore, we propose a new architectural design for the hardware and software of the NAND flash cards by improving their data transfer rate. Our design is based on a multiprocessing which is different from the conventional serial processing method. We simulated our design under the VIP (Virtual IP) environment, and verified our work using FPGA test platforms. As a result, the downloading performances was approximately 160MB/s on VIP and 85.3MB/s on FPGA.

      • 長城地域 石灰石 鑛床에 對한 地質學的 硏究

        This study investigates the geological distribution of limestone formations in the Jangsung area, of Chunnam, and compares them with other rocks and calculates the reserves through drilling and chemical analysis of samples. The geographical coordinates of the surveyed area are 126˚45'-126˚52' longitude by 35˚15'-35˚22' latitude. Fieldwork was conducted for proposed claim Nos. 89, 101, 111, 113, 123, 124,134, 135, and 144, in Damyang quadrangle. The rocks of the area are meta sediments known as a crystalline schist system, including muscovite schist, metaquartzite and sericite schist which were intruded by granite gneiss of an unkown period and by dykes of the Cretacious Period. The strikes of the crystalline schist svstem are mainly in the direction of N30E tO N80E and dip north wesltwardly. The sampling was carried across the strike of limestone and ten survey-lines was selected. Two hundred samples were analyzed and the average grades were as follows: CaO 43.34%, MgO3.81%, SiO_(2) 12.52%, R_(2)O_(3) 2.02%, Ig loss 38.37%. Seventeen drill sites which had been drilled by the Koryo Cement Company were chosen across the strike of limestone, and the average grades of limestene and dolomite were as follows: SiO_(2) 14.17%, R_(2)O_(3) 2.27%, CaO 40.27%, MgO 5.63%, Ig loss 37.60%. The probable reserves were calculated on the basis of mined areas and drill sites. The total probable reserves is 5,558,856 □.

      • Transgenic Carrots Overproducing Various Carotenoids and Biological Activities of Carotenoids and Carrot Extracts

        There are many evidences that carotenoids may act as antioxidants and protect humans from serious disorders such as skin degeneration and aging, cardiovascular disease, certain types of cancer, and age-related diseases of the eye. Carrots (Daucus carota L.) are consumed as an important dietary source of b-carotene, a-carotene and lutein. Astaxanthin, a keto-carotenoid has been used to raise red color of fish body and to improve immune activity in fish-breeding industry. In this study, transgenic carrot plants were generated to overproduce carotenoids including astaxanthin, a non-natural ketocarotenoid in this plant, using an efficient storage root-expression system. Among the nineteen transgenic carrot plants, transformed by a storage root-specific (ibMads) or a storage root (ibAGP1) or the constitutive CaMV35S promoters with three genes involved in carotenoid synthesis [Psy (Phytoen synthase), Crtl (Lycopen-β-cyclase), CrtO (β-carotene ketolase)], transgenic plants with ibAGP1 promoter, an amyloplast targeting sequence (TP1) and a single CrtO gene gave high content of keto-carotenoids and b-carotene. For fish body coloration, carotenoid extract or astaxanthin significantly made the body color of red seabreams more reddish than those of normal diet-fish in the 3 weeks feeding. In addition, the serum lysozyme activity in carotene-treated fish was significantly higher than that in normal diet-fed fish (P<0.05) in the 6 weeks feeding. In these cases, neither carotenoid extract- nor astaxanthin-contained diet did influence on growth rate and food utilization in red seabreams. These results suggested that carotenoid extract prepared in the present study may be useful in the body coloration and the enhancement of nonspecific immune response of red seabreams. Meanwhile, b-carotene (50 mM) up-regulated peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor a expression (PPAR-a) by about two fold in CV-1 cells, while the carotenoid extracts and astaxanthin failed to affect on the expression. Carotenoid extracts (250 mg/ml) from wild type carrot or transgenic carrots showed moderate DPPH scavenging activity.
