      • 和順炭鑛의 深部開發 問題点에 關한 基礎的 硏究

        Some basic results on the deep mining in Hwa-sun Nam mine are obtained as follows. 1. Average operating level was deepened steadily through the past 20 years from 10 to 15 meters per year. 2. Shaft mining ration will be 14.6 meters per year in the lower coal seam on the assumption that the extraction rate (60%), production (90,000 tons per year), dip of seam (50 degrees), and width (3.085 meters), will be applicable to the deeper level as present. 3. Dry bulb temperature of the underground air was 23 degree centigrade at the 220 M.L. and the rate of increase in temperature of air was 1 to 1.5 degree per 100 meter depth. 4. Increasing effects of the underground air temperature are to be considered by the heat due to adiabatic compression, oxidation, from human body and machinery. Anticipated cooling factors are mine water and compressed air release.

        The plenty of Cu and Zn ores are produced in our country. Pure minerals, however, are rarely produced because most of them are complicated state of sulphide minerals, In view of this state, it is difficult for them to be flotated. The results by the heating method and SO_2 method to be effectively separated these Cu-Zn ores, are as fellow : 1. The active effect of Zn was increced when the temperature was added in fine grinding pulp to-200 mesh and remarkably influenced by heating time and added CuSO_4 quantity. 2. It was probed to be economic if Na_2CO_3 and SO_2 had been added, in case of SO_2 method. Moreover, it was much effective when air was mixed in this process and PH was so increced that the flotation was impeded, adding Na_2CO_3 to Ⅱ of so percentage.

      • 柱房武 採炭法에서 漏氣에 關한 硏究

        Leakage was studied at several coal mines in the eastern Kentucky coal reserve district. They are used "Room and Pillar Mining Method". Horizontal coal seams are opened by multiple entries system. Ventilation circuit are, therefore, very important and leakage was serious problem in these mines, Several measurements was carried out and evaluate in computer program. The results are: 1) Leakages add to the ventilation circuita creaye a number of parallel branches, therefore, to compensate the loss of air quantity, RPM of the fan and power cost have to be increased. 2) Net leakage in all investigated mines was 30~50%. 3) The doubling of the leakage resistance will increase the flow to the face about 4.7% average, decrease the fan output quantity by a range of 0.6~l.7m^3/s, and increase fan output pressure of 9.7~5.1N/m^2. 4) Control devices such as stopping, doors and overcast between intake and return airways have to be act completely, and fan house is to be errect air tightly.

        Coal seams exhibit a north-south trend and generally dip 40 degrees westward, but in deep zone they range from 20 degrees to 70 degrees by folding. Thickness is 0.3 meter in pinched zone and maximum 4.5 meters in rich zone. In pinched seams smaller than one meter thickness, heat values are very low. Mineable seams, therefore, are limited to the rich zone of thickness greater than one meter. Main haulage level is drived in footwall strileward rock drift 30 meters apart from coal seams to be mined. And vertical depth is also 30 meters to the lower level. Crosscuts drive in every 50 meters. Mining methods such as Longwall, Room and Pillar, Hydraulic, Sub-level caving, Topslicing, and Slant-chute caving were discussed in point of its advantages and disadvantages as it is applied to this mine. Consequently, the best one for the conditions of this mine is as follow; 15 degrees slant chute sub-levels are sliced in every 5 meters vertical height to the both sides of 40 degrees main chute raise (M.C.R.) and caved retreatingly. Advantages of this method are; 1. Rapid finishing and low support repairing expenditure. 2. High coal recovery and low waste mixing. 3. Face coal transportation requires a little man-working. 4. All face working is centralized into the M.C.R.

      • Black Bear 탄광에 對한 通氣計劃의 分析

        In Appalachian coal mining operations it is common to use existing equipment for initial mining. When that equipment proves inadequate at a later date, it will be replaced. One of the purpose of this study will be to verify the adequacy of the fan for the life of this mine. A secondary purpose is to evaluate mine ventilation requirements with respect to the mine plan. In order to make this evaluation the most stringent ventilation conditions should be analyzed. This conditions should be determined by matching bleeding requirements and production requirements at the extreme limits of mining. Measurements were made at the mine under operating conditions, the results of this measurement trip are summarized in Table 3 and Figure 3. Average area and perimeter of entry, friction factor(K), pressure loss and resistance across the face, unit resistance, total mine resistance, size of regulators etc. are determined. The results of the ventilation project show that the fan will perform as required, and air flow condition show that adequate air flows through the faces in both directions.

      • Royal Diamond Mine의 通氣系統에 對한 壓力-風量 測定과 Computer Analysis에 關한 事例硏究

        The Royal Diamond Mine owned and operated by the Blue Diamond Mining, Inc. is located in Leatherwood, Harlan county, Kentucky. The ventilation survey was carried out on March 8th and 9th, 1984 by two survey crews of five persons each. The purposes for the ventilation survey are : 1) to accurately establish the air distribution, air quantities, pressure losses, and resistances, 2) to gain greater understanding of the extent and effectiveness of the extent and effectiveness of existing ventilation system and its role in meeting specific current and future operating requirements and, 3) to provide an engineering base to supplement management plannings for the improvement of the current underground environment as well as near-term and long-term plannings for mine extensions or modifications by using computer analysis. There were over three hundred points where measurements were taken. These measurements were evaluated and subjected to computer analysis. Total air flow through the mine was 120 cubic meters per second at a pressure of 1125 Pa. Certain parts of the mine are overventilated, there were the possibilities of revising the ventilation plans to reduce the inefficiencies in the system. Implementing the changes of a 50% reduction in air flow requirements and a 25% reduction of overall mine resistances would lead to substantial savings in operating costs of approximately $145000 per year. The data which has been obtained from the ventilation survey and computer anaysis could be further utilized for redesigning and/or reevaluating the existing mine.

      • 長城地域 石灰石 鑛床에 對한 地質學的 硏究

        This study investigates the geological distribution of limestone formations in the Jangsung area, of Chunnam, and compares them with other rocks and calculates the reserves through drilling and chemical analysis of samples. The geographical coordinates of the surveyed area are 126˚45'-126˚52' longitude by 35˚15'-35˚22' latitude. Fieldwork was conducted for proposed claim Nos. 89, 101, 111, 113, 123, 124,134, 135, and 144, in Damyang quadrangle. The rocks of the area are meta sediments known as a crystalline schist system, including muscovite schist, metaquartzite and sericite schist which were intruded by granite gneiss of an unkown period and by dykes of the Cretacious Period. The strikes of the crystalline schist svstem are mainly in the direction of N30E tO N80E and dip north wesltwardly. The sampling was carried across the strike of limestone and ten survey-lines was selected. Two hundred samples were analyzed and the average grades were as follows: CaO 43.34%, MgO3.81%, SiO_(2) 12.52%, R_(2)O_(3) 2.02%, Ig loss 38.37%. Seventeen drill sites which had been drilled by the Koryo Cement Company were chosen across the strike of limestone, and the average grades of limestene and dolomite were as follows: SiO_(2) 14.17%, R_(2)O_(3) 2.27%, CaO 40.27%, MgO 5.63%, Ig loss 37.60%. The probable reserves were calculated on the basis of mined areas and drill sites. The total probable reserves is 5,558,856 □.
