There are various ways to operate traffic light system by varying the operational speed of the system. One of the solutions is to vary the length of the clock cycle of the system. It is difficult to vary the length of the signal in systems by varying the period of the clock cycle and nor it is a generalized technology in the current traffic systems. The traffic signal systems of the past used is simply a repetitive traffic signal system which traffic period is consistent, not considering the conditions of traffics. The system that will be introduced in this thesis could substantially improve efficiency of traffic flows by varying the length of traffic signal period with sensors which detect the presence of vehicles on both directions and allows the signal continuously on the direction where there are more waiting vehicles, and even skips the signal where there is no vehicle waiting. In this thesis, it introduces the methodology of detecting the spots that is detected by the sensors of the system and outputs green light in due order in accordance with the priority given to the system. In the meanwhile, the ratio of yellow light and green light is designed to be 1 to 8 in the way that maximizes the efficiency of traffic flows.

광범위 유두근 석회화는 흔하지 앉으며, 원인과 임상적 중요성에 관한 문헌만 드물게 찾아볼 수 있다. 반면에 작은 석회 침착은 노인에서 흔하며 심장 첨부에 주로 나타난다. 유두근 석회화는 관상동맥질환, 확장성 심근병증, 승모관 질환, 고칼슘혈증, 그리고 말기신부전에서 인산칼슘의 중가와 연관성이 있다. 저자는 심장초옴파와 MDCT를 통해 진단된 전외측 유두근의 광범위 석회화의 드문 사례가 있어 보고한다.
산업단지 및 일반생활 지역의 공기 중 톨루엔에 대한 개인노출 및 생체시료의 상관성 분석

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess the correlation relationship between personal exposure and urinary hippuric acid in biological monitoring for airborne toluene in an industrial complex and in general environments. Methods: Personal exposure to toluene and its metabolite, hippuric acid, in urine were simultaneously measured in occupational environments area near an industrial complex and in general environments. The study subjects were divided into three types: 137 workers who use organic solvents in the workplace, 210 residents living near a dyeing industrial complex, and 379 residents living in general environments. The toluene exposures of workers and residents were measured by a passive sampler for four days. The urine of participants was sampled when the passive samplers of personal exposure were collected. Results: The toluene and hippuric acid concentrations of workers were the highest, followed by the concentrations of residents living near a dyeing industrial complex and residents living in general environments. The coefficient of correlation between the concentrations of toluene and hippuric acid among workers was 0.749 (p<0.01) in the workplace. On the contrary, correlations between the concentrations of toluene and hippuric acid among residents living near a dyeing industrial complex and residents living in general environments were all not significant. The relationship between the concentrations of hippuric acid and toluene in three types could be described by the exponential growth model. Conclusions: This study analyzed the relationships between toluene exposure and the concentrations of hippuric acid in urine in high, middle, and low exposure environments, and could be described by the exponential growth model.

The purpose of this study was to determine how asparagus spear qualities are affected by hot water immersion (HWT) and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) pre-treatments. Asparagus spears were treated either with different durations of HWT or packed with 10,000 cc/m²·day·atm oxygen transmission rate (OTR) film as the MAP treatment, and then stored at 4°C until the final storage day. Respiration and ethylene production rates in asparagus increased after HWT, with 8 and 16 min treatments having the most effect on these parameters. Fresh weight loss was less than 0.3% with all treatments. Gas composition (i.e., C₂H₄, CO₂, and O₂) within the packaging was not significant among all treatments during storage. The MAP and HWT treatments made no difference not only in fresh weight but also in gas composition. Microbial growth (i.e., total aerobic bacteria, yeast, mold, and E. coli) was lower with the 2 and 4 min treatments than with the other treatments. Electrolyte leakage was less in the control, 2 min, and 4 min treatments compared to the 8 and 16 min treatments. The hue angle and total chlorophyll values, which are associated with yellowing, remained constant at the 2 and 4 min treatments compared to the other treatments, which did not have maintained values. Asparagine content accumulated in the control, 2 and 4 min treatments, whereas the 8 and 16 min treatments showed a decrease in asparagine content. Stem firmness was similar to pre-storage measurements with the 4 min treatment. Stem length for all of the treatments was slightly increased before storage regardless of HWT duration. Asparagus off-odor and visual qualities were the best with 4 min treatment compared to the other treatments. Consequently, HWT for 2-4 min and MAP Pre-treatments were effective in maintaining the measured qualities among the treatment and control groups. In contrast, HWT for more than 8 min offset any beneficial heat-treatment effects for long-term storage; as indicated by tissue softening at the stem tip, which resulted in secondary damages that included microorganism infection and deterioration of visual quality in the vegetables.
가시오가피 잎ㆍ뿌리ㆍ줄기ㆍ열매 추출물의 이화학적 특성 및 항산화 효과

가시오가피 잎, 뿌리, 줄기 및 열매의 수용성, 에탄올 및 메탄올 추출물의 생리활성 물질 분석과 항산화 활성 (DPPH free radical scavenging 활성, Cu/Fe-환원력, 간 조직 microsome 생체막 및 linoleic acid 과산화지질, Tyrosinase 저해활성)을 측정 하였다. 가시오가피 잎의 열수 추출물에서 추출 수율 16.04%, 폴리페놀 화합물 함량 2.67% 및 플라보노이드 함량 1.43%로 가장 높았다. 가시오가피 잎, 뿌리, 줄기 및 열매의 주요 미네랄은 K, Ca 및 Mg 이었다. DPPH free radical scavenging 활성, Cu/Fe-환원력, 간 조직 microsome 생체막 및 linoleic acid의 과산화 지질 측정에 의한 항산화 활성은 가시오가피 잎, 뿌리, 줄기 및 열매 모두에서 나타났으며, 시료 처리 농도 의존적으로 활성이 증가되는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 실험 결과에서 가시오가피 잎, 뿌리, 줄기 및 열매 모두에서 높은 항산화 활성이 있었으며, 이는 폴리페놀 화합물과 플라보노이드와 같은 생리활성 성분을 많이 함유하고 있는 것과 깊은 관련성이 있는 것으로 향후 건강기능식품이나 기능성화장품의 천연 항산화제 소재 개발 관련 연구의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료되어 진다. The contents of bioactive and antioxidative activities (DPPH (α,α’-diphenyl-β-picrylhydrazyl), free radical scavenging activity, peroxidation of linoleic acid and rat hepatocyte microsome, and Fe/Cu reducing power, tyrosinase inhibition activity) were tested by in vitro experimental models using water, hot water, ethanol and methanol extracts of leaves (ASL), roots (ASR), stems (ASS) and fruits (ASF) from Acanthopanax senticosus. Hot water extract from ASL showed the highest extraction yield (16.04%) as well as highest contents of phenolic compounds (2.67%) and flavonoids (1.43%). Major minerals were K, Ca and Mg. In oxidation in vitro models using DPPH free radical scavenging activity, Fe/Cu reducing power, Fe²?/ascorbate-induced linoleic acid peroxidation by ferric thiocyanate and thiobarbituric acid (TBA) methods, tyrosinase inhibition activity and autooxidation of rat hepatic microsomes membrane, and antioxidative activities were strong in Acanthopanax senticosus. From these results, ASL extracts were shown to have the most potent antioxidative properties and contain the highest amounts of antioxidative compounds such as phenolic compounds and flavonoids. These results may provide the basic data to understand the biological activities of bio-active materials derived from leaves of Acanthopanax senticosus.
