Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess the correlation relationship between personal exposure and urinary hippuric acid in biological monitoring for airborne toluene in an industrial complex and in general environments. Methods: Personal exposure to toluene and its metabolite, hippuric acid, in urine were simultaneously measured in occupational environments area near an industrial complex and in general environments. The study subjects were divided into three types: 137 workers who use organic solvents in the workplace, 210 residents living near a dyeing industrial complex, and 379 residents living in general environments. The toluene exposures of workers and residents were measured by a passive sampler for four days. The urine of participants was sampled when the passive samplers of personal exposure were collected. Results: The toluene and hippuric acid concentrations of workers were the highest, followed by the concentrations of residents living near a dyeing industrial complex and residents living in general environments. The coefficient of correlation between the concentrations of toluene and hippuric acid among workers was 0.749 (p<0.01) in the workplace. On the contrary, correlations between the concentrations of toluene and hippuric acid among residents living near a dyeing industrial complex and residents living in general environments were all not significant. The relationship between the concentrations of hippuric acid and toluene in three types could be described by the exponential growth model. Conclusions: This study analyzed the relationships between toluene exposure and the concentrations of hippuric acid in urine in high, middle, and low exposure environments, and could be described by the exponential growth model.

본 논문은 병원에서 상황인지를 기반으로 외래환자에게 필요한 서비스를 지능적으로 안내하는 시스템을 제시한다. 시스템은 사용자의 위치정보와 병원에서 제공하는 실시간 진료정보를 동시에 활용하여 사용자에게 위치안내와 프로세스안내를 제공한다. 그리고 이러한 서비스를 제공하기 위해 사용자의 위치를 인식하는 위치 서버, 병원에서의 프로세스 정보를 가지고 있는 병원 웹 서버, 위치정보와 프로세스 정보를 통합하는 병원 안내 서버 그리고 병원안내 서버로부터 정보를 전달받아 사용자에게 최종적으로 정보를 서비스하는 단말기로 구성되어 있다. This paper presents a guide system based on context for outpatients. This system uses both user's location information and medical process information. The system compose of four module; location server(recognize user's location), hospital web server(service hospital process and collect information), hospital guide server(receive user's location information and hospital process information, service hospital guide to mobile device), and mobile device for user.

온택트 시대가 도래함에 따라 Virtual Reality (VR)는 글로벌 시장의 주목을 받고 있다. 본 연구는 VR 대중화의 큰 걸림돌인 사이버 멀미 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 사이버 멀미 예측 모델 구축을 제안한다. 18 명을 대상으로 user study를 진행하여 사이버 멀미를 측정할 수 있는 척도인 Simulator Sickness Questionnaire (SSQ)와 Fast Motion Sickness Scale (FMS)의 설문 데이터와 센서 데이터를 수집하였다. FMS 응답은 사이버 멀미를 예측할 수 있는 모델을 구축하는데 활용했다. 우리는 Convolution Neural Network (CNN)를 활용하여 사이버 멀미를 예측하였다. 우리의 모델은 77.18%의 정확도를 보였다. SSQ 응답을 분석한 결과, VR 체험 전후로 p<.001 의 유의미한 사이버 멀미 정도의 차이를 보였다. 높은 정확도로 사이버 멀미 예측이 가능해진다면, 사용자의 VR 체험 중 사이버 멀미를 방지함으로써 더 나은 경험을 선사하고 VR 에 대한 거부감을 줄일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 이는 VR 의 대중화에 도움이 될 것이다.

Objective : To provide information about the accessory product of Broussonetia kazinoki Siebold or Broussonetia papyrifera (L.) Vent by analyzing old books of oriental medicine, domestic/international papers and related patents Methods : Old books related to the accessory product in the field of oriental medicine were reviewed, Research papers regarding the pharmacological activity of the by-products were reviewed and analyzed. Patents about the residual products were examined and classified by year and subject. Results: Seven kinds of by-products from Broussonetia kazinoki Siebold or Broussonetia papyrifera (L.) Vent has been used as medicines in oriental medicine. Recently, anti-oxidating, anti-cancer, anti-mutagenic and anti-inflammation activity of the residual product of these plants has been investigated through scientific research. There were 19 patents related with the accessory products of these plants, which were in the subjects of functional cosmetics, anti-inflammation, cleansing goods, hair restorers or improvement of learning ability, Further investigations about the activity of these plants are needed in bone metabolism, water balance and hemostasis in the future. Conclusion : Residual products from these plants is being used in various ways. However, more studies on the efficacy and mechanism, as well as safety, of these plants should be conducted precisely in the future.
Monte-Carlo 모의실험을 이용한 초·중·고등학교의환기부족 평가

Objectives: Indoor air quality has become more important aspeople spend most of their times indoors. Since students spend most of their times at home or at school, they are more likely to be exposed to indoor air pollutants. Ventilation in school classrooms can affect health and learning performance. In this study, ventilation deficiency was evaluated in school classrooms using Monte Carlo simulation. Methods: This study used sensor-based monitoring for six months to measure carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations in classrooms in elementary, middle, and high schools. The volume of the classroom and the number of students were investigated, and the students’ body surface area was used to calculate the CO2 emission rate. The distribution of ventilation rates was estimated by measured CO2 concentration and a massbalance model using Monte Carlo simulation. Results: In the elementary, middle, and high schools, the average CO2 concentrations exceeded 1000 ppm, indicating that the ventilation rates were insufficient. The ventilation rates were deficient from July to August and in December, but showed relatively high ventilation rates in October. Forty-three percent of elementary schools, 56% of middle schools, and 62% of high schools showed insufficient ventilation rates. Conclusions: The ventilation rates calculated in elementary, middle and high schools were found to be quite insufficient. Therefore, proper management is needed to overcome the lack of ventilation and improve air quality.

Objective: The purpose of this report was to provide the information about activity and safety of Ssanghwa-tang by analyzing domestic papers and theses about Ssanghwa-tang. Methods: Domestic papers and theses related to Ssanghwa-tang were reviewed and analyzed. These papers were then classified by year, experimental method, and activity subject. Results: The following results were obtained in this study. 1. The study of Ssanghwa-tang started from 1981 and continued steadily 1990s and it was decreased 2000s. 2. The paper of Ssanghwatang was entire domestic paper, 20 volumes. 3. In classified by experimental method and animal of Ssanghwa-tang paper, more than a half study used rat in vivo experiment. Furthermore clinical experiments were performed about anti-fatigue effect of Ssanghwa-tang and Ssanghwatang was proved a safety herbal medicine in acute toxicity experiment. 4. Decursin, glycyrrhizin, paeoniflorin were determined in Ssanghwa-tang by using HPLC analysis. 5. As these studies were classified by subject, papers related to anti-fatigue effect were most abundant by 7 papers. Besides there were several papers related to liver funtion, anti-inflammatory, alleviation, smooth muscle relaxation effect and so on. 6. According to experimental data, it is supported that Ssanghwa-tang was safety herbal medicine and it has a several activity about anti-fatigue, anti-inflammatory, alleviation, smooth muscle relaxation. Conclusion : Many study of basic science experiments and clinical experiments were performed and reported on Ssanghwa-tang in domestic journal. Ssanghws-tang is being used in various ways associating with anti-fatigue. anti-inflammatory. alleviation and smooth muscle relaxation. furthermore Ssanghwatang was proved a safety herbal medicine in acute toxicity experiment. However, studies on randomized controlled trials of Ssanghwatang need to be completed at the clinical level.
