      • 기능부서간 상호 작용 모형에 관한 연구

        신제품개발과정에 있어서 부서간의 원활한 상호 작용은 신제품의 성공에 중요한 요소로 지적되어 왔다. 특히 마케팅 부서와 연구개발 부서는 제품혁신과정에서 주도적인 역할을 하는 기능부서로서, 두 부서의 협력체제는 신제품의 성과에 직접적인 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 연구의 주요 목적은 기존 연구들을 보완하여, 마케팅 부서와 연구개발 부서의 상호 작용에 관한 포괄적인 연구모형을 제시하고 또 검토하는 것이다. 연구모형은 마케팅 부서와 연구개발 부서 강의 특징적인 행동과정이 갈등과 통합이라는 인식에서 출발하며, 갈등·통합 및 성과와 관련있는 요인들간의 관련성을 규명하고자 하였다. 실증조사는 전기전자산업에 속한 종업원수 200인 이상의 기업을 모두 대상으로 하였고, 각 기업 혹은 대기업의 각 사업부별로 마케팅부문과 연구개발부문에서 본 연구에 적합한 핵심응답자들을 한 명씩 선정하여 우편설문조사를 실시하였다. 회수된 설문은 마케팅부문 140부, 연구개발부문 135부이며, 회수율은 각각 59%, 60%이다. 자료의 분석은 LISREL을 이용한 공변량분석을 실시하여, 연구모형의 검토와 가설검증을 하였다. 연구모형의 분석절차는 측정모형의 분석과 구조모형의 분석으로 크게 나누어지며, 측정모형의 분석은 반영적 척도의 분석, 형성적 척도의 분석 및 전체 측정모델의 분석으로 구분하여 실시 하였다. 실증분석의 결과 주요한 발견들은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 마케팅 부서와 연구개발 부서간 통합수준은 신제품의 성과에 상당한 영향을 주지만, 부서간 갈등은 성과에 관계가 거의 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 경영자의 통합지원정책이 부서간 통합에 큰 영향을 미치며, 정책의 효과가 마케팅부서가 연구개발 부서보다 더욱 크게 나타났다. 셋째, 조직구조의 특성으로써 공식화된 조직일수록 통합수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 여러 가지 갈등의 직접원천 중에서 제한된 자원에 대한 경쟁이 부서간 갈등에 가장 큰 직접적인 영향을 주고 있다.

      • Salt Induces Adipogenesis/Lipogenesis and Inflammatory Adipocytokines Secretion in Adipocytes

        <P>It is well known that high salt intake is associated with cardiovascular diseases including hypertension. However, the research on the mechanism of obesity due to high salt intake is rare. To evaluate the roles of salt on obesity prevalence, the gene expression of adipogenesis/lipogenesis and adipocytokines secretion according to adipocyte dysfunction were investigated in salt-loading adipocytes. High salt dose-dependently increased the expression of adipogenic/lipogenic genes, such as <I>PPAR-γ, C/EBPα</I>, <I>SREBP1c, ACC, FAS,</I> and <I>aP2</I>, but decreased the gene of lipolysis like <I>AMPK</I>, ultimately resulting in fat accumulation. With SIK-2 and Na<SUP>+</SUP>/K<SUP>+</SUP>-ATPase activation, salt increased the metabolites involved in the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) such as <I>ADD1, CYP11β2,</I> and <I>MCR.</I> Increasing insulin dependent insulin receptor substrate (IRS)-signaling, resulting in the insulin resistance, mitogen-activated protein kinase/extracellular signal-regulated kinase (MAPK/ERK) and Akt-mTOR were activated but AMPK(Thr<SUP>172</SUP>) was depressed in salt-loading adipocytes. The expression of pro-inflammatory adipocytokines, TNFα, MCP-1, COX-2, IL-17A, IL-6, leptin, and leptin to adiponectin ratio (LAR) were dose-dependently increased by salt treatment. Using the inhibitors of MAPK/ERK, U0126, we found that the crosstalk among the signaling pathways of MAPK/ERK, Akt-mTOR, and the inflammatory adipogenesis can be the possible mechanism of salt-linked obesity. The possibilities of whether the defense mechanisms against high dose of intracellular salts provoke signaling for adipocytes differentiation or interact with surrounding tissues through other pathways will be explored in future research.</P>

        Anthocyanin Rich-Black Soybean Testa Improved Visceral Fat and Plasma Lipid Profiles in Overweight/Obese Korean Adults: A Randomized Controlled Trial

        Anthocyanin-rich black soybeans have been used in traditional East Asian medicine to cure diseases related to oxidative stress and carcinogens, but not obesity. Our objective was to investigate the effects of anthocyanin-rich black soybean testa extracts (BBT), Glycine max (Chongja No. 3), on obesity. In total, 63 participants defined as overweight or obese by their body mass index (BMI >23) or waist circumference (WC >90 cm for males, >85 cm for females) were sorted into two groups: 32 receiving the trial medication (BBT, 2.5 g/d) and 31 receiving the placebo (starch, 2.5 g/d). Participants completed an 8-week, randomized, double-blinded, and placebo-controlled clinical trial. There were no significant differences between the two groups at the beginning of the trial, and both required the same safety assessments. Significant decreases in abdominal fat, described according to WC and hip circumference, and lipid profiles such as triacylglycerols (TG), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLc), and non-high density lipoprotein cholesterol (non-HDLc) were observed in the BBT group at the conclusion of the clinical trial. The indicators for arteriosclerosis such as total cholesterol (TC)/HDLc and LDLc/HDLc were significantly decreased in the BBT group, but had not changed in the placebo group. With no difference between the two groups in energy-adjusted dietary intakes and physical activity, BBT was shown to strongly improve plasma lipid profiles, related to the reduction of WC (an indicator of abdominal fat) as long as high dietary fiber and low cholesterol diets were maintained. In conclusion, BBT can potentially be developed as a functional food for preventing abdominal obesity with high fiber and low cholesterol diets.

      • 마아케팅 부문과 연구개발부문의 상호작용모형의 비교

        Abstract The integration between marketing and R&D department has been regarded as one of the critical success factors for the new product. The first objective of the study is to build and test a comprehensive model which includes important factors and their relationships concerning the interaction between marketing and R&D department. The second objective is to compare the interaction model of marketing department with the R&D department model. Data was collected from the key informants in the companies of the electric and electronic industry. Covariance structure analysis with LISREL 7 was used for the data analysis. Measurement model was analyzed before testing the structural model. The final structural model after model search process seems to be valid in the substantive sense and has considerable degree of statistical goodness-of-fit. The major findings of the study are as follows. Integration between marketing and R&D department has significant impact on the new product performance. Interdepartmental conflict does not show direct Influence on performance. Competition for the scare resources is a most significant cause of the interdepartmental conflict. The two models have common results in these results. Strategy and policy are influential factors in the model of marketing department. However, personal differences between the two departments have significant impact on the integartion in R&D model.

        The Impact of CDH13 Polymorphism and Statin Administration on TG/HDL Ratio in Cardiovascular Patients

        Purpose: Adiponectin is expressed in adipose tissue, and is affected by smoking, obesity, and genetic factors, such as CDH13 polymorphism,contributing to the development of coronary vascular diseases (CVDs). Materials and Methods: We investigated the effect of genetic variations of CDH13 (rs3865188) on blood chemistry and adiponectinlevels in 345 CVD patients undergoing statin-free or statin treatment. Results: Genetic variation in CDH13 was significantly correlated with several clinical factors, including adiponectin, diastolic blood pressure, triglyceride (TG), and insulin levels. Subjects with the T allele (mutant form) had significantly lower adiponectin levels than those with the A allele. Total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLc), TG/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDLc) ratio, and HDL3b subtype were markedly decreased in statin treated subjects regardless of having the A or T allele. TG and TG/HDL in the statin-free group with TT genotype of the rs3865188 was higher than in the others but they were not differentin the statin-treated subjects. We observed a significant difference in adiponectin levels between patients with the A and T alleles in the statin-free group; meanwhile, no difference in adiponectin levels was noted in the statin group. Plasma levels of other cytokines, leptin, visfatin, interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), were not different among the CDH13 genotypes according to statin administration. Body mass index (BMI), TG, insulin, HDL3b, and TG/HDL ratio showed negative correlations with adiponectin levels. Conclusion: Plasma adiponectin levels and TG/HDL ratio were significantly different according to variants of CDH13 and statin administration in Korean patients with CVD.

      • Fermionic spin liquid analysis of the paramagnetic state in volborthite

        <P>Recently, thermal Hall effect has been observed in the paramagnetic state of volborthite, which consists of distorted kagome layers with S = 1/2 local moments. Despite the appearance of magnetic order below 1 K, the response to external magnetic field and unusual properties of the paramagnetic state above 1 K suggest possible realization of exotic quantum phases. Motivated by these discoveries, we investigate possible spin liquid phases with fermionic spinon excitations in a nonsymmorphic version of the kagome lattice, which belongs to the two-dimensional crystallographic group p2gg. This nonsymmorphic structure is consistent with the spin model obtained in the density functional theory calculation. Using projective symmetry group analysis and fermionic parton mean field theory, we identify twelve distinct Z(2) spin liquid states, four of which are found to have correspondence in the eight Schwinger boson spin liquid states we classified earlier. We focus on the four fermionic states with bosonic counterpart and find that the spectrum of their corresponding root U(1) states features spinon Fermi surface. The existence of spinon Fermi surface in candidate spin liquid states may offer a possible explanation of the finite thermal Hall conductivity observed in volborthite.</P>
