<P>We describe a magnetic resonance force microscopy experiment carried out using both a fast-relaxing spin system and a frequency-modulation mode detection method, presenting a validation of the measured signal and sensitivity. The detection method applied along with a self-excited cantilever oscillation worked stably without any serious interference due to spurious cantilever excitation despite application of first-harmonic microwave modulation, and thereby successfully created almost the maximum available signal. The signal could be measured without distortion while the magnetic field was swept at a rate of 1.9 G s<SUP>−1</SUP>. The measured sensitivity approached the thermal noise limit of the cantilever with a high quality factor. The experimental results for both signal and noise were in good agreement with theoretical predictions. </P>
Development of Data-Flow Control Algorithm of Wireless Network for Sewage Disposal Facility

Recently, water sewage disposal facilities are able to manage real-time data collection and record management through compact broadband modem LAN switching technology. Therefore, it needs more stable and efficient facility management. So, we required practical use of environmental facilities convergence based on broadband integrated modem. In this paper, we proposed short distance wireless communication network of compact broadband modem for sewage disposal facilities. And it received data inside of water treatment facility using the two communication methods (IEEE802.11x and IEEE802.15.4x). Then, our proposed an data-flow control algorithm of wireless network technology will prioritize processing data when emergency happen through collecting data, analysis data and processing. Lastly, we proved usefulness by experiment and simulation analysis.

A new type of solid and gel-state ionics based on siloxane pyridinium iodides was synthesized and used as electrolytes in dye-sensitized solar cells. The resulting electrolytes were characterized by $^1H$ NMR spectroscopy, TGA and diffusion coefficient. The synthesized siloxane pyridinium iodide electrolytes have characteristics of different chain length of siloxane moieties. The ion conductivities were given 2.7-3.2 S/cm. Among the three SiDPIs based electrolytes, DSSC employing the SiDPI2 gives an open circuit voltage of 0.704 V, a short-circuit current of 15.85 $mA/cm^2$ and conversion efficiency of 6.8% under light intensity of 100 $mW/cm^2$. In addition, the performance of the DSSCs showed relatively reasonable compared with the propylpyridinium iodide (PPI) electrolyte.

Melanin protects the skin from harmful environmental factors such as UV light. However, excessive melanin production induces hyperpigmentation. Previously, N-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)-3-methoxybenzamide (A<SUB>3</SUB>B<SUB>5</SUB>), a biaryl amide derivative, was identified for its ability to inhibit melanin production. However, its detailed mechanism of action has not been investigated. We elucidated the inhibitory mechanisms of A<SUB>3</SUB>B<SUB>5</SUB> in melanin production. Our results showed that A<SUB>3</SUB>B<SUB>5</SUB> had no effect on the production and activity of tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in melanogenesis. However, A<SUB>3</SUB>B<SUB>5</SUB> markedly decreased both constitutively expressed and UVB-induced tyrosinase-related protein 2 (TRP-2), which plays an important role along with tyrosinase in melanogenesis. The TRP-2 downregulation caused by A<SUB>3</SUB>B<SUB>5</SUB> may occur through proteasomal degradation because the A<SUB>3</SUB>B<SUB>5</SUB>-induced TRP-2 downregulation was inhibited by the ubiquitination inhibitor, MG-132. In addition, A<SUB>3</SUB>B<SUB>5</SUB> inhibited the proliferation of melanocytes and melanoma cells by arresting cells in the G1 stage of the cell cycle and moderately suppressed tumor growth in vivo. Taken together, our results indicate that A<SUB>3</SUB>B<SUB>5</SUB> downregulates melanin production and melanoma cell growth via proteosomal degradation of TRP-2 and suggest that A<SUB>3</SUB>B<SUB>5</SUB> can be a possible therapeutic agent that effectively regulates both hyperpigmentation and melanoma growth in the skin.

▣ 2012년 대법원은 은행, 저축은행의 일부 휴면예금 계좌에 대해 소멸시효가 끝나지 않고 중단된 것으로 판정함. ▣ 현재 서민금융생활지원법(과거 휴면예금법)에서는 소멸시효가 완성된 채권을 출연하도록 되어 있기 때문에 2012년 대법원결정으로 더 이상 휴면예금재단에 휴면예금을 출연하지 못하게 됨. ▣ 이에 따라 금융기관이 휴면예금을 지속적으로 관리해야 하는 데 따른 비용이 계속 발생하고 효율적인 휴면예금 반환이 곤란할 것으로 우려됨. ▣ 미국, 아일랜드, 영국 등에서는 금융소비자 및 금융기관 보호를 위해 휴면예금을 포함하여 미청구자산(unclaimed property)의 관리에 관한 일반 법률을 제정하고 있음. · 동 법률에서는 휴면예금을 포함하여 미청구자산을 명확하게 정의하고 이의 관리에 대해 전반적으로 규정하고 있어 원권리자의 권리를 최대한 보장해 줄 뿐만 아니라 금융회사에 대해서도 관리비용 절감 등 보호수단으로 기능하고 있음. ▣ 이러한 점을 참고로 하여 본 보고서는 우리나라 금융권의 미청구자산 관리제도의 개선방안을 제시함. · 구체적으로 휴면예금을 예금 중 채권소멸시효가 완성된 채권으로 보기보다는 일정기간 동안 예금자로부터의 거래(depositor initiated trade)가 없는 비활동계좌에 있는 예금으로 정의할 필요가 있음. · 미청구자산에 대한 관리시스템 운영의 효율성을 전반적으로 제고하기 위해 미청구자산법을 제정할 필요가 있음. ▣ 다만 본 보고서에서는 금융권 미청구자산의 기준에 대한 법적 또는 감독 기준의 제정과 이에 대한 법적권한의 부여, 금융회사의 권한과 책무를 감안한 통합운영 방안 등 금융감독 측면의 세부과제에 대해서는 상세히 다루지 못하고 있어 향후 추가적인 연구로 보완할 필요가 있음. In 2007, Korea`s financial authority enacted the Dormant Deposit Act to establish the Dormant Deposit Management Foundation to manage dormant deposits and insurance policies, contact their owners, and use the funds to provide funding and welfare services for low-income borrowers. The foundation used to receive funds from dormant accounts of banks, savings banks, and insurance companies. However, a 2012 supreme court ruling stated that the statute of limitations would not be applied to (savings) banks` dormant deposits as long as interests were used to be accrued, which severely limited the role of the Foundation. The ruling also increased banks` burden to incur the cost of maintaining dormant deposits and to return dormant funds upon account holders` requests at all times. Major foreign countries have established laws for the management of unclaimed properties, including dormant deposits, to protect financial consumers as well as financial institutions. In Korea, it is necessary to clarify the discussions about establishing a clear institutional basis for management of unclaimed property. To this end, this report firstly investigates the current situation of unclaimed property management system, secondly examines and compares the institutional and legal statuses of the foreign countries, and thereby in the result, suggests ways to improve the unclaimed property management system in Korea. Specifically, it is necessary to clearly define a dormant deposit as deposits in the accounts that does not have any transactions for a certain period of time. Also, it is necessary to enact an unclaimed property law in order to improve the overall efficiency of the management system on unclaimed properties that financial institutions hold.
