        한우에 있어 황토 첨가급여가 면역기능에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 한우 육성우에 대한 황토 첨가급여가 항병성에 미치는 효과를 구명하고자 혈액성상변화를 규명한바 아래와 같은 결과를 얻었다. 대조구 및 처리구에서 전체적인 혈액성상의 변화는 없었으나 백혈구수치가 대조구 및 처리구에서 각각 15.35K/㎕ 및 13.37K/㎕이였으며, 적혈구에 있어서도 정상수치인 5~10M/㎕보다 대조구 10.03M/㎕, 처리구 11.35M/㎕로 모두 높은 수치를 보였다. 황토첨가에 따른 혈액성상의 변화는 처리간에 유의한 차이는 보이지 않았다. The study was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary supplements of reddish clay on the immunity of growing Hanwoo steers. A total of 8 calves were divided into 2 feeding groups, control(basal diet) and treatment(basal diet plus ad libitu reddish clay) for Hanwoo steers. This study was carried out for 5 months using 8 calves. The results obtained by the present study are summarized as follows : The proportion of WBC, NE as well as LY(15.35, 6.85, 6.86K/??) was higher in the control group than in the Reddish clay-supplemented group. But no statistical differences were found in blood substances among treatment calves.

      • 식이섬유 보충용 식품의 섭취에 따른 여성의 비만관련 체구성 요인 및 배변만족도의 변화

        The Purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of functional food including dietary fiber supplementation on body composition concerning obesity and defecation satisfaction of women. Twelve young healthy women but had defecation difficulty were participated as a subject. Body weight, %body fat, WHR mesurement and defecation satisfaction questionnaire were performed before and after 2 weeks' supplementation. The results of this study were as follows : First, Body composition concerning obesity such as body weight(p=.0065), % body fat(p =.0004) and WHR(p=.0007) after 2 weeks' functional food including dietary fiber supplementation was decreased significantly. Second, defecation satisfaction functional food including dietary fiber supplementation was increased significantly(p = .0039). This results suggested that functional food including dietary fiber supplementation should be recommended as effective dietary food for persons with obesity and defecation difficulty.

        황토 급여가 거세한우의 발육에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 거세한우 육성우에 대한 황토 첨가급여가 발육에 미치는 효과를 구명하고자 발육능력, 사료섭취량을 규명한 바 아래와 같은 결과를 얻었다. 전 시험기간 동안의 평균 일당증체량은 대조구와 황토급여구가 각각 0.91㎏과 0.87㎏/day로 대조구가 높은 것으로 나타났지만 유의성은 인정되지 않았다. 사료섭취량은 대조구와 황토급여구 모두 평균 일일 두당 농후사료 섭취량이 2.42㎏이었으나, 건초섭취량에 있어서는 각각 3.02와 3.14㎏으로 황토급여구가 다소 높은 경향으로 나타났다. The study was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary supplements of reddish clay on the growth performance in growing Hanwoo steers. A total of 8 calves was allocated into 2 feeding groups, control(basal diet) and treatment(basal diet plus ad libitim Reddish clay) for Hanwoo steers. This study was carried out for 5 months with a total of 8 calves. The results obtained in the present studies are summarized as follows : Average daily gains throughout the experimental period of 4 months to 9 months of age were 0.91 and 0.87㎏ for control group and reddish clay-supplemented group, respectively, however, no statistical significances were found. Average daily intake of concentrates was 2.42㎏ for each group, while that of hay tended to be higher in reddish clay-supplemented group(3.14㎏) than in control group(3.02㎏).

        환경교육을 위한 웹 기반 프로젝트 학습 시스템의 설계 및 구현

        The use of the Web (World Wide Web) has been changing roles of traditional education style. Especially, the Web can overcome time and space limitations in the traditional schools. Teachers and students are now using the Web to access vast amounts of information and resources on cyber space. Also, the learning via the Web enables both synchronous and asynchronous communication. Despite of many benefits of the Web, it may weaken students motivation due to lack of face-to-face communication. In this paper, we provide a learning model called Web Project Learning, which is based on the contructivism, to provide motivation and collaborative learning for students in the Web environment. The model is based on the Project-Based Learning model and is revised for use in the Web. The model can also encourage the participation of parents as well as students, and be applied to any subject. We implement our model and show that the model can be used for environmental education as an instance.

        Autophagy induction and CHOP under-expression promotes survival of fibroblasts from rheumatoid arthritis patients under endoplasmic reticulum stress

        <P><B>Introduction</B></P><P>Synovial fibroblasts from rheumatoid arthritis show resistance to apoptotic stimuli, indicating they may be difficult to treat. To clearly understand these mechanisms of resistance, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis synovial fibroblasts (RASF and OASF) were exposed to endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress such as thapsigargin, Ca<SUP>2+</SUP>-ATPase inhibitor.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>Fibroblasts were assessed microscopically for cell viability by trypan blue exclusion and for autophagic cells by LC-3II formation. Caspase-3 activity was measured as aminomethyl-coumarin (AMC) liberated from AC-DEVD-AMC. Immunoblotting was performed to compare protein expression in OASF and RASF.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>ER stress caused cell death in OASF but not in RASF. Thapsigargin, a Ca<SUP>2+</SUP>-ATPase inhibitor, did not change the expression of GRP78, an ER chaperone in OASF and RASF, but induced another ER stress protein, CCAAT/enhancer binding protein (C/EBP) homologous protein (CHOP) differently, showing high levels in OASF and low levels in RASF. Thapsigargin increased the autophagy response in RASF, with autophagosome formation, beclin expression, and LC3-II conversion. Transfection with beclin siRNA inhibited autophagy and increased the susceptibility to ER stress-induced cell death. On the other hand, CHOP siRNA increased autophagy and improved cell survival, especially in RASF, indicating that CHOP is involved in regulation of autophagy and cell death, but that low expression of CHOP protects RASF from apoptosis.</P><P><B>Conclusions</B></P><P>Autophagy induction and CHOP under-expression increases cell resistance against ER stress-induced cell death in fibroblasts from rheumatoid arthritis patients.</P>

        Does Demineralized Bone Matrix Enhance Tendon-to-Bone Healing after Rotator Cuff Repair in a Rabbit Model?

        Background: The purpose of this study was to compare the histologic outcomes of rotator cuff (RC) repair with demineralized bone matrix (DBM) augmentation and those without DBM augmentation and to evaluate the role of DBM for tendon-to-bone (TB) healing in a rabbit model. Methods: Twenty-six adult male New Zealand white rabbits were randomly allocated to the control group (n = 13) or the DBM group (n = 13). Repair was performed 8 weeks after complete transection of the right supraspinatus tendon of all rabbits. In the control group, RC repair was achieved by a standard transosseous technique. In the DBM group, RC repair was achieved using the same technique, and DBM was interposed between the cuff and bone. After 8 weeks, the RC tendon entheses from all rabbits were processed for gross and histologic examination. Results: On gross TB healing, 2 of 11 specimens in the control group were unhealed and no specimen was grossly unhealed in the DBM group (p = 0.421). In the control group, the tendon midsubstance was disorganized with randomly and loosely arranged collagen fibers and rounded fibroblastic nuclei. The TB interface was predominantly fibrous with small regions of fibrocartilage, especially mineralized fibrocartilage. In the DBM group, the tendon midsubstance appeared normal and comprised densely arranged collagen fibers, with orientated crimped collagen fibers running in the longitudinal direction of the tendon. These fibers were interspersed with elongated fibroblast nuclei. The TB interface consisted of organized collagen fibers with large quantities of fibrocartilage and mineralized fibrocartilage. Conclusions: The use of DBM for TB interface healing in rabbit experiments showed good results in gross and histologic analysis. However, it is difficult to draw a solid conclusion because the sample size is small. Further evaluation in the in vivo setting is necessary to determine clinical recommendations

        원위 경골 골절의 최소 침습적 금속판 치료에서 해부학적 경피적 강선 정복

        목 적: 원위 경골 사상 골절의 금속판을 이용한 최소 침습적 내고정술 시행 중에 강선을 이용한 해부학적 골절 정복 및 유지 방법에 대하여 보고하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: 2007년 8월부터 2010년 2월까지 원위 경골 사상, 나선형 또는 횡형 골절로 진단받고 내측 금속판을 이용한 최소 침습적 내고정을 시행한 환자 중 경피적 강선 정복 방법으로 해부학 정복이 가능했던 17예의 환자를 대상으로 하였다. 평균 연령은 50세, 평균 추시 기간은 18개월이었다. 수술 후 단순 방사선 사진상의 골유합까지의 기간, 각 변형 정도 및 합병증 유무를 조사하였다. Olerud and Molander ankle 점수와 보행 시 VAS pain 점수를 수술 후 족관절 기능의 평가 지표로 사용하였다. 결 과: 전후방 방사선 사진에서 골유합 후 내/외측 각 변형은 평균 0.9도, 측면 방사선 사진에서 전/후방 각 변형은 2.0도이었다. Olerud and Molander 점수는 평균 89.4점이었으며, 보행 시 족관절 VAS pain 점수는 0점이었다. 결 론: 원위 경골 사상 골절의 치료에서 강선을 이용한 경피적 골절 정복 방법으로 쉽게 해부학적 정복을 이룰 수 있고, 강선 차체만으로도 정복을 유지할 수 있어서 추가적인 도수 정복 유지 없이 금속판을 간단하게 고정할 수 있는 장점이 있다. Purpose: To report the method of anatomical reduction and its maintenance by percutaneous wiring reduction in minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis for distal tibial fractures. Materials and Methods: 17 cases that were diagnosed oblique, spiral or transverse fracture of distal tibia from August 2007 to February 2010 and were able to anatomically reduce by the method of percutanous wiring reduction in minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis were included in this study. Mean age was 50, and mean follow up period was 18 months. We investigated the period until bone union was achieved, degree of angulation angle, and complications. For postoperative evaluation, Olerud and Molander ankle score and VAS pain score in daily living were checked. Results: The mean varus/valgus angulation after bone union on AP radiograph was 0.9 degrees and the mean anterior/posterior angulation on lateral radiograph was 2.0 degrees The mean Olerud and Molander ankle score was 89.4, and mean pain score due to walk adjacent to metal plate was 0 points. Conclusion: By the method of percutaneous wiring reduction in distal tibial fracture, anatomical reduction is easily acquired, and only by wire itself, reduction could be maintained, so that without additional manual reduction, plate could be easily fixed.
