      • 高速道路 路線의 透水性地盤 處理工法에 關한 硏究(第1報)

        Very often, the water permeation of the soil is a trouble to dealing with the problems of soil engineering or foundation engineering. In case the geology of the operation, in the super high way and the other civil engineering projects, is nst good;the site of the operation needs to be moved to different place. However, when there are existing facilities or when there are no proper foundations, the site of the operation can not be changed. Therefore, the special way of engineering operation is mentioned here which has to be applied in that case. And a laboratory experiment is made, for the purpose of stopping water from permeating the foundation, by chemical reagents in the materials, which water permeating foundation contains, such as fine sand, coarse sand, and coarse-sand and gravel. According to the result of the experiment, some conclusions are presentented and arranged here as follows : 1. In permeability test of constant water level with dry sand, the amount of water permeation decreases as the time goes; and nearly the same amount of permeation is maintained after twenty four hours or so. 2. It is considered that the same amount of permeation is not maintained by the function of the air in the soil and the air in the permeating. water. 3. Soon after chemical agent is poured, the amount of permeation decreases suddenly, but as the time goes, it maintains mormal condition. 4. It is considered that the effect of chemical agent pourring happens immediately, for the results of permeating soon after and twenty hours after chemical agent pouring are the same. 5. The change of the permeation coefficients is chiefly influenced by the thickness of the first chemical agent (Na_2Sio_3). The best thickness is 10~15%. The second agent is Cacl_2. 6. The best influences of the chemical agents are as lollows: It is treat. 1-15-5(15% Nea_2Sio_3, 5% Cacl_2)in fine sand. treat. 2-10-3(10% Na_2 Sio_3, 3% Cacl_2)in coarse cand, and treat. 3-15-15 (15% Na_2Sio_3, 15% Cacl_2) in coarse-sand and gravel.

        Clonorchis sinensis, an oriental liver fluke, as a human biological agent of cholangiocarcinoma: a brief review

        Parasitic diseases remain an unarguable public health problem worldwide. Liver fluke Clonorchis sinensis is a high risk pathogenic parasitic helminth which is endemic predominantly in Asian countries, including Korea, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and the far eastern parts of Russia, and is still actively transmitted. According to the earlier 8th National Survey on the Prevalence of Intestinal Parasitic Infections in 2012, C. sinensis was revealed as the parasite with highest prevalence of 1.86% in general population among all parasite species surveyed in Korea. This fluke is now classified under one of the definite Group 1 human biological agents (carcinogens) by International Agency of Research on Cancer (IARC) along with two other parasites, Opisthorchis viverrini and Schistosoma haematobium. C. sinensis infestation is mainly linked to liver and biliary disorders, especially cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). For the purposes of this mini-review, we will only focus on C. sinensis and review pathogenesis and carcinogenesis of clonorchiasis, disease condition by C. sinensis infestation, and association between C. sinensis infestation and CCA. In this presentation, we briefly consider the current scientific status for progression of CCA by heavy C. sinensis infestation from the food-borne trematode and development of CCA.         Testosterone 이 피부 melanocytes 및 melanin 에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 (實驗的) 연구

        The hormonal control of melanin formation in the skin has aroused the attention of research workers for rnany decades 1t is now generally accepted that endocrine factors play an important role in melanogenesis in man and lower animals but it is surprising to find that although much experimental data has been obtained it is still far from clear what action the male sex hormone has on melanin formation, Much of the obscurity probably stems from the fact that a great number of the observations have been macroscopic only and the microscopic studies have been confined to vertical sections, Vertical sections have the disarvantage that accurate melanocyte counts are impossible and that the appearances of the melanocytes cannot be adequately demonstrated. The present research is a ontrolled histochemical investigation into the effect of testosterone on the appearances of the melanocytes and melanin in the skin of the male rabbit using both skin sheets and vertical skin sections. Fifteen rabbits were used for the investigation and these were divided into three groups (Immature, Mature and Orchidectomised) each consistsing of black and brown animals, Skin samples measuring about 1 0 sq, cm, were taken from all the animals from the ear, anterior abdominal wall and sole of foot; in addition the right areola was excised The animals were then given 5 mgm of testosterone propionate (u, s p ) intramuscularly once daily for a period of 2 weeks in the case of the immature groups and for a period of 4 weeks in the case of the remaining groups All the animals were killed by a blow on the occiput and a further series of skin samples were removed from areas adjacent to those taken previously and the left areola was excised. The two skin samples from each region were observed by dopareaction using the skin-splitting technic of Billingham and Medawar and hematoxylin eosine stain. 1. The effect of testosterone on the melanocytes and melanin in the skin of the ear, anterior abdominal wall, areola and sole of foot has been studied in intact and orchidectomised male rabbit using carefully controlled histochemical experiments. The melanocytes were identified by using the dopa reaction. 2. In the skin of the anterior abdominal wall, areola and sole of foot the majority of the results for the different groups of animals suggest that testosterone is incapable of producing uniform changes in the melanocytes and melanin. 3. However, in the sole of the orchidectomised group a definite increase in melanogenic activity took place. 4. In all groups of animals testosterone was found to stimulate melanogenesis in the ear especially in the immature and orchidectomised groups.

        강원도에 집단 도래하는 천연기념물 겨울철새의 생태조사 및 질병발생 가능성에 관한 연구

        This report studied the individual number, their favorite habitat, and change pattern of family and group number in Cheolwon Basin, starting in the early Oct. 2004 until late March. 2005 to investigate the ecological features of the Red-crowned Crane and the White-naped Crane. The Cranes arrived Cheolwon Basin in mid-October until next mid-March, and passed the winter in mid-November until next late-February. The most visiting number amounted to 550 individuals and, that period was the most frosting mid-January to mid-February. The White-naped Crane visited Cheolwon Basin in autumn, the early winter and spring. Approximately, the wintering-number is 550 individuals, also, the mid-March was the peak-period of arrival and, the number amounted to 2,162 individuals. The cranes chose the farming area around mountains as their wintering habitat and were less likely to choose the farming area around lake as habitat. The Red-crowned Crane and the White-naped Crane showed the different periodical pattern in familial and group numbers. In case of the crane, the familial pattern was stable, but varied in grouping number, and this pattern was similar to the variation of overall individual number. And, also, the most grouping number was shown in the most freezing period of wintering period. The White-naped Crane showed the similar pattern of the Red-crowned Crane that is, stable family number and varying group number, this pattern affected the total number of entire individuals. Grouping number increased in migration period. Parasite infection rate is G japonensis 35.0%, G vipio 38.7%.

        인트라넷을 통한 사내 업무의 효율성을 증대시키기 위해 인트라넷 어플리케이션이 개발되고 있지만 재사용성이 고려되지 않는다. 이러한 어플리케이션의 단점을 보완하여 소프트웨어 개발의 용이성과 재사용성을 높이기 위한 프레임워크의 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 프레임워크의 재사용성에도 불구하고 그 범위가 특정 도메인에 국한되어 있다. 프레임워크를 사용한 어플리케이션의 개발은 개발자의 시간과 노력을 줄이는 역할을 하지만 다른 요구사항들이 주어질 때 이러한 요구사항을 충족시키기에는 한정적이다. 본 논문은 프레임워크의 장점을 지니면서 여러 도메인에 접근하여 사용할 수 있는 수평적 프레임워크에 대한 객체 지향 분석을 목적으로 하고 있으며, 수평적 프레임워크를 추출하기 위한 기법을 제안한다.

        If were construct structures or bank on the soft-clay stratum. the settlement would keep on over a long time in future. Therefore, there would happer meor venience in constructing structures, and the failures of them result from the differential. When we are to make use to the sand drain in order to improve such a soft-clay stratum. the first object consists in decreasing the subsequent differential to the minimum by bringing about the differential rapidly, which should take place in future, within the shortest time. The second object is to get the strength of the stratum in a hurry, which is necessary to the safety of the structures. But it is common to try to get the effects of both of these at the same time. This research is about the effects of sand drain which depends upon the boundary condition of the soft-clay stratum. And as the result of the indoor experiments, in case of setting up the sand pile, changing the diameter of the settlement, comparing and examming the practical measures and theoretical ones. The results of them are as follows: a. The consolidation settlement is more promoted in a double drainage than in a single one. b. The proportion of the diameter of the sand pile against the effective diameter of soil cylinder, that is, "n_" is large in the amount of the consolidation settlement of a small test ward. c. Compared with the occasion when we did not set up the sand pile, there arose 1.83 times consolidation settlement in the single drainage, 1.38 times in a double one, and 1.65 times at the average. d. In the same value of "n_", the amount of the consolidation settlement appeared larger when we make the effective diameter of soil cylinder small. e. The amount of the consolidation settlement of the actual survey appeared as 70% of the theoretical one. f. The treatment in which the effects of consolidation settlement of the sand drain appeared the most ideal, is B_1-9-3 in a single drainage and B_2-9-3 in a double one. g. After the conclusion of the settlement, the horizontal distribution of moisture content increased in proportion to the effective radius of soil cylinder from the sand pile.

      • Non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants with amiodarone, P-glycoprotein inhibitors, or polypharmacy in patients with atrial fibrillation: Systematic review and meta-analysis

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P><B>Background</B></P> <P>Amiodarone, which inhibits CYP2C9 and P-glycoprotein, is commonly prescribed with non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) and polypharmacy in high-risk atrial fibrillation (AF) patients. We studied efficacy and safety of NOACs in AF patients receiving amiodarone, P-glycoprotein inhibitor, or polypharmacy.</P> <P><B>Methods</B></P> <P>After a systematic database search (Medline, EMBASE, CENTRAL, SCOPUS, and Web of Science), four phase-III randomized trials comparing NOACs and warfarin in “with/without amiodarone,” “with/without P-glycoprotein inhibitors,” or “with/without multiple (≥5, polypharmacy) concomitant drugs” subgroups were included. The outcomes were pooled using a random-effects model to determine the relative risks (RRs) for stroke/systemic thromboembolism (SSTE), major bleeding (MB), intracranial hemorrhage (ICH), and all-cause mortality.</P> <P><B>Results</B></P> <P>Among patients taking amiodarone, superiority of NOACs over warfarin in non-amiodarone users disappeared in terms of SSTE (<I>p</I> =0.11), MB (<I>p</I> =0.95), ICH (<I>p</I> =0.26), and mortality (<I>p</I> =0.32). No safety benefit (MB) of NOACs compared to warfarin was shown in patients taking P-glycoprotein inhibitors (<I>p</I> =0.47), but SSTE prevention was still superior with NOACs compared to warfarin in the same patient group [RR=0.78 (0.61–0.99), <I>p</I> =0.04, I<SUP>2</SUP> =11%]. In AF patients with polypharmacy, NOACs showed a lower risk of SSTE [RR=0.82 (0.71–0.96), <I>p</I> =0.01, <I>I</I> <SUP>2</SUP> =0%] and mortality [RR=0.91 (0.83–0.99), <I>p</I> =0.04, <I>I</I> <SUP>2</SUP> =0%], but not MB (<I>p</I> =0.81) compared to warfarin.</P> <P><B>Conclusions</B></P> <P>NOACs were equivalent to warfarin among AF patients with concomitant amiodarone use in terms of efficacy, safety, and mortality.
