In this study, the equipment and method to recyle waste-paint, were developed and investigated. The efficiency of drying and pulverizing the waste-paint were improved via vescosity reducing process and microwave energy source with a blast of hot air. This method may be useful to recyle the waste-paint, rubber and plastics.

This paper aims to study that the defect exploration method to specimen's thickness, using an characteristic of an ultrasonic wave generating in ablation area and thermo elasticity area, has been applied to using a way of receiving it by Air-Coupled Transducer and transmitting it by an ultrasonic wave and a way of noncontact receiving and transmitting ultrasonic wave using a laser. The longitudinal, transverse waves have been used in 60mm thickness specimen and Lamb wave in 3mm to run artificial defect detection test. In this way, the usefulness of noncontact laser ultrasonic wave has been verified. To confirm the possibility of implementation on natural defect existing at real welding part, thickness in 3mm SM45C and STS304 artificial defect specimen has been made and defect detection test using Lamb wave has been executed. Detected signal by signal treatment has been expressed in visual not RF signal. By doing so the convenience of defect detection has been attempted and the effectiveness of defect signal visualization using Lamb wave has been confirmed compare with defect image through SAT.

The diffuse sclerosing variant (DSV) is a rare malignant tumour that accounts for 0.7-5.3% of all papillary thyroid cancers. DSV tends to occur at a younger age and has a higher incidence of cervical lymph node metastases, compared with papillary thyroid carcinoma. A 62-year-old female patient diagnosed thyroid nodule with diffuse and mild increased 18F-deoxy-glucose (FDG) on FDG positron emission tomography (PET)-computed tomogram (CT) scan. The ultrasound images showed typical findings of DSV such as diffusely enlarged thyroid lobes and diffusely scattered microcalcification. We performed this patient ultrasonography guided fine needle aspiration and cytologic analysis revealed papillary carcinoma. Total thyroidectomy with central compartment node dissection and lateral lymph node dissection was performed and finally diagnosed DVS. The authors report this case with literature review.

This is the first report of Champsodon longipinnis (Champsodontidae) collected from Korea. The specimen (100.9 mm in standard length) was caught by a bottom trawl in the coastal waters off Busan, Korea. This species is characterized by the following morphological traits: body with small denticulate scales except abdomen around pelvic fin base; posterior end of maxilla extending beyond margin of eye; dark pigmentation on most of the first dorsal fin, upper half of the first to the fourth soft ray of the second dorsal fin, and partial upper lobe of caudal fin. We add C. longipinnis to the Korean fish fauna and suggest a new Korean name, "Jeom-ak-eo-chi," for the species.

This is the first report of Fowlerichthys scriptissimus (Lophiiformes, Antennariidae) from Korea. A single specimen (291.0 mm SL) was collected off the coast of Jejudo Island by gill net on 28 March 2012 and identified with morphological and molecular approaches. The specimen is characterized by having all five pelvic fin rays bifurcate and possessing 20 vertebrae, 13 pectoral-fin rays, and a basidorsal ocellus on the side of the body. This species is distinguishable from other Korean taxa by the number of pectoral fin rays, the bifurcate form of the pelvic rays, and the vertebral count. We add this species to the Korean fish fauna and suggest new Korean names, “Byeol-ssin-beng-i-sok” and “Byeol-ssin-beng-i” for the genus and species, respectively.
