These study was carried out to obtain the basic data which are necessary for producing good quality of fruits required for strengthening the competitiveness of sweet persimmon in the markets. In 1997, there were 4 irrigation periods: April to July, April to August, April to September and April to October, and in 1998 and 1999, 2 irrigation periods: April to September and from April to October, and persimmon trees were irrigated in amount of 15mm when rainfall was less than 30mm in two weeks during these irrigation periods. The rainfall in 1997 during September and October, which were the main fruit expansion phase, was shorter than average year's rainfall, but no water shortage in 1998 and 1999. During August, September and October, the monthly soil moisture in non-irrigation field was deficit in 1997, as compared to irrigation field, but no differences as affected by irrigation treatments in 1998 and 1999. In 1977 in which rainfall was comparatively shorter than average year's rainfall during fruit growing season, the fruit weight were increased to 19%, 14% in irrigation periods from April to September and from April to October, respectively, as compared to control, but there were no differences in peel color and soluble solids as affected by the irrigation treatments.

Immune complexes were isolated from ascitic fluid of patients with ovarian carcinoma by using protein-A Sepharose CL-4B affinity chromatography, and antigen-antibody complexes then dissociated by ion exchange chromatography in the presence of 8M urea. Only one antigen fraction was obtained by the ion exchange chromatography, but three antigenic bands were demonstrated by SDS-PAGE. The molecular weights of the three protein bands were 70, 41, and 38 kDa, respectively. Of the three proteins the 38 kDa band has already been known, but 70 and 41 kDa bands seems to represent new ovarian tumorassociated antigens. This study may suggest the involvement of multiple antigens in ovarial tumor which can be included in producing tumor-directed monoclonal antibodies
경피적 기관절개술 : 표준 기관절개술과의 비교 a comparison with standard surgical tracheostomy

A prospective study was undertaken to compare, in intensive care patients, the safety and utility of a percutaneous tracheostomy teehnique with a surgieal tracheostomy technique. Between March of 1992 and June of 1993 we randomly selected 40 patients of the many who were in need of a tracheostomy. After dividing those patients into 2 groups, we per- formed the procedures. Twenty patients received a standard surgicsl traeheostomy, the other twenty received a percutaneous tracheostomy. We found complications occurring in 6 patients who received the standard surgical tracheostomy while only 1 patient suffered complications from the group having the percutaneous tracheostomy. The most common complications being subcutaneous emphysema, pneumothorax, pnemonia, and hemorrhage. Post-decannulation scar was 3.286±1.204mm in percutaneous group, 20.36±7.26mm in standard group. In comparison to standard surgical tracheoatomy, percutaneous tracheostomies were rapidly and easily performed and asaociated with significantlyewer complication and small post-decannulation scars.

<P>For a CO<SUB>2</SUB> ingress accident into liquid sodium in a supercritical CO<SUB>2</SUB> power conversion system coupled with a sodium-cooled fast reactor, we investigated two major design issues: i) a wastage phenomenon in regard to structural damage adjacent to the leaking position, and ii) potential channel plugging due to the formation of a particulate reaction product. In order to understand the factors affecting the occurrence of these issues, two kinds of experiments were carried out: a wastage effect test and a self-plugging test. All experimental conditions were chosen to reasonably represent the normal operating conditions and realistic design parameters of the reference plant. The test results indicate the absence of wastage, which will not lead to additional tube ruptures and damage propagation. In the current experiment, the self-plugging of PCHE channels only took place under two limited conditions: i) the sodium temperature is over 500°C and ii) the equivalent diameter of the crack opening is less than 1.5 mm with a small leakage rate of far less than 1 g/s of CO<SUB>2</SUB> ingress.</P>

Tailored RF 경사자계 영상법을 이용하여 혈류효과를 배제한 자화율 효과만의 뇌기능 영상을 얻을수 있었다. 일반적인 RF를 이용한 경사자계 뇌기능 영상법은 빠른 경사자계 영상법으로 인해 정맥뿐만 아니라 동맥에서의 혈류효과와 $T2^{*}$ 효과가 합쳐진 영상을 얻게되는 반면, tailored RF를 이용한 경사자계 영상법은 산소소모와 관계된 자화율 변화에 의한 뇌기능 영상을 얻을 수 있었다. 본 논문에서 tailored RF를 이용하여 뇌기능 영상에서 자화율효과와 혈류효과를 명확히 구분할 수 있음을 보였다. 그리고 실험결과로 얻은 신호는 충분히 크고 산소 소모의 변화를 보다 더 정확히 표현하므로 지금까지 다른 경사자계 영상법으로는 어려웠던 뇌기능 영상에서 정량화된 산소 신진대사 연구의 가능성을 보여주었다. Functional imaging based on the susceptibility only is achieved by separation of the susceptibility effect from the mixture of flow effect by use of a tailored RF pulse in conjunction with gradient echo sequence. Using the tailored RF pulse the susceptibility enhanced functional imaging appears to be explicitly related to the deoxygenation processes, while in the conventional gradient echo technique functional contrast on $T2^{*}$ effect images appear to be mixed with a significant fraction of blood flow (in- flow) signals of both arterial as well as venous bloods due to the nature of the fast sequence employed with the gradient echo technique. In this paper, using the tailored RF pulses, one can unambiguously separate the susceptibility and flow effects in functional imaging. Since the signal obtained can be made sufficiently high and represents oxygenation process more accurately, it seems possible to study quantitative oxygen metabolisms in brain function hitherto difficult to do with other gradient echo techniques.
