유씨소요산(柳氏逍遙散)과 유씨귀비탕(柳氏歸脾湯)의 항(抗)스트레스 효과(效果)에 관(關)한 임상적(臨床的) 연구(硏究)

The objective of this paper is to verify clinical effects of Lyu's Soyosan(柳氏逍遙散) and Lyu's Kwipithang(柳氏歸脾湯). They were prescribed to the enperimental student group suffering from mental stress and annoyed by psychological instability. From the biochemical examination before and after medication, we measure the amount of hormonal variation in thyroid hormone(TSH, $T_4$) and adrenocortical hormone(ACTH, cortisol) The results are as follows. 1. The average of self-rating anxiety scale(SAS) in test group is $41.00\;{\pm}\;7.84$. This value is statistical significant and higher than one of normal person(age 20-39). The average of a global assesment of recent stress(GARS) scale is $28.62\;{\pm}9.00$. There is statistical correlation coefficient between SAS and GARS (p < 0.001). 2. Both Lyu's Soyosan(柳氏逍遙散) and Lyu.s Kwipithang (柳氏歸脾湯) groups show statistically significant reduction of total cholesterol and triglyceride level in serum lipid after ten day medication. 3. It is observed that Lyu's Soyisan(柳氏逍遙散) and Luy's Kwipithang (柳氏歸脾湯) groups have increasing tendency of TSH. The statistically significant reduction of $T_4$ was found in two groups after ten day medicaton. 4. It is observed that Lyu's Soyosan(柳氏逍遙散) and Lyu's kwipithang (柳氏歸脾湯) group have statistically significant reduction of serum cortisol level after ten day medication, Both groups have statistically significant reduction of plasma ACTH level after twenty day medication. From these results, it is verified that both Lyu's Soyosan(柳氏逍遙散) and Lyu's Kwipithang (柳氏歸脾湯) have anti-stress effects against psychological instability and mental stress. The Lyu's Soyosn(柳氏逍遙散) shows special effectiveness in depression of liver-energy(肝氣鬱結) and the Lyu's Kwipitang (柳氏歸脾湯) is also effective in deficiency heart-blood(心血不足).

Since ancient times among the both kinds of the orientail medicine records I made a seletion of the 60th kinds of the Iemological records, that were described, to a symptom and a treatment as the object of study. In order to refer to documents on a stupefaction and a delirium of the Iemology, the results obtain in this works were summarized as follow. 1) It shows that a stupefation and a delirium are mentioned in the lemology much more than the other(Sang Han). And bhese both theory of the lemology and the sang Han are valuable to be recognized again egually. 2) It comes out into the symptom of the shimpo-diseage that a stupefaction makes a Lung-system, and a delirium makes a stomach-system, to be injured. 3) I regard that a white scap and mottling-eruption exert an important effection to a stupefaction and a delirium. 4) As knowing the causal treatment of the lemology, I believe to do a great deal for that the sign of death-agony of the sang-han and the lemology could be reduced. 5) According to the pathology of a stupefaction and a delirium, It is known that the lemology and Sang-Han are equal, and a seasonal disease is too similar to the modern-infectious disease, and a partial lemology-contagium is correspond to an infectious disease designated by law. 6) In consequency that a stupefaction and a delirium are related with a course of the lemology, in spring and all there are much more stupefactions than the other. On the contrary a delirium is much more in Summer, and in Winter there are originated a paralled between a stupefaction and a delirium, and the lemology-contagium is confused with an outbreak of a stupefaction and a delirium. 7) In the lemology treatment if stupefaction and a delirium come out with projecting taste but, put first to open sudoriferus, and alleviate a fever. And if the eye is closed and could not be opened on a high fever, I regard it as appopriate putting first treatment to alleviate a fever, and cause up flow af saliva.

촌관척(寸關尺)부의 검측한 부정맥과 Electrocardiographic 결과의 한의학적 검토

Objective: The ECG which used for this paper, is analysis result from alogrisms of arrythmia, and we have studied that how we could certain Cold(寒)type or Heat(熱) type and that Deficiency(虛) type or Excess(實)type of organs from various special diseases, and we obtained like these results. Method & Conclusion: 1. we depend on our examination about Pulse(脈) because we can`t discriminate arrythmia using ECG analysis instruments. 2. We obtained that Cold(寒) type diseases had wave that prolonged above normal baseline and ST wave which had downward aptitude. 3. We obtained that Heat(熱) type diseases had the fibrillation which had shortend wave that compare to normal and had downward aptitude or negative aptitude. 4. We obtained that Respiratory system (肺) diseases had wave that is within normal or is short of normal range and had much fluctuation in potential difference or trans on P wave. 5. The character of EKG which presented about diseases of gastric systems is prolonged above narmal range of wave, and the ECG had represented mixed wave with Heat(熱) type when accompany inflammatory in gastric system. 6. The wave of Blood Stasis(瘀血) type had upward aptitude of QRS wave, and the wave of anemia or blood loss type(少血 ) had downward aptitude of QRS wave, the wave which had both Cold(寒) and Heat (熱) represented mixed waves. 7. The Knotted Pulse(結脈) and Intermittent Pulse(代脈) is corresponded with sinus brady cardia, and the Swift Pulsle(疾脈) is corresponded with fibrillation. 8. We pay attention to the relations of formations about pressures pulse from formations of EMD( electromechanical dissociation ). Result : From these results, we will have to study about ECG which using in tests of change of Parkinsons disease.

Although most of flutter of palpebranum (part of Tourette`s disorder) was though to be functional and psychogenic emotional disorder, author has understood that it was organic disease due to abnormal interaction of Heart Gall bladder according to many clinical experience. The confirmation was accomplished by four examinations, pulse, meridian and it was supplemented by ECG because it was surely to correlate with the wave of ECG. 1. Meeg-Mun-Dong Tang,Gi-je Tang, Buja-Ri-goung Tang, Hwang Ryeon-Hyang-Yu-Eum, Hyang-Yu san were frequently used for all the types of acute gestroenteritis. 2. Gwap-Hyang-Jeong powder Ri-Geung Tang, Mog-YU Powder, Hyang-Si Tang Shin Chul powder, and Gye Gwan powder were used for vomiting and diarrhea. 3. Sam Ho Sam Beag Tang, Ri Gong Tang were used for the sequealae of acute gestroenteritis and chanenomeles sinensis was not used. 4. For the cramps, chaenomeles sinensis was frequently used, Buja Rigung Tang added gympsum was specific and the mexibustion was the most frequently used. Buja Ru Jung Tang added gysum was specific and the maxibustion was the most frequently used. Geum Aeg Dan was used for the cramps and drid acute gestroenteritis. 5. Gang Yeom Tang as vomiting therapy was the representative prescription for infections diseases and cholera, therefore the oriental medicine was newly prescribed for the cholera and pest. It was considered that Bomyung dan and Geum Aeg Dan were traditional prescription and gabil tabult and Wa-Ryong Dan needed the further research. 6. Fasting was stressed for acute gestroenteritis considering the above results, the prescriptions of acute gestroenteritis, Cholera, difficulty in urination and defecation and Sunstroke were differentiated.

전증(癲證) 환자의 치험 1례

Objectives: Jeon-Jeung(癲證) is one of negative symptoms from schizophrenia in Western medecine, which causes flattening of affect, emotional bluntness, and avolition. Compared with positive symptoms of schizophrenia, there is no established treatments that have been proved to be effective for negative symptoms, and since negative symptoms are chronically processed, they finally lead to devastate the mental health. Since Jeon-Jeung(癲證) is usually in set in adolescent period and tends to become chronic through life time, it is important to start getting treatments in early stage by being distinguished from other diseases, such as anxiety disorder. A patient in this case was affective blunting, general weakness, and delusion when sixteen years old. However, he refused to get Western medicine treatment and wanted oriental medicine treatment. Methods: The patient in this case had been suffered from severe stress from his family since he was young and had kept having irregular and unhealthy eating habits. Therefore, he diagnosed stagnant qi transforming into fire(氣鬱化火), heart blood deficiency(心血虛), and spleen-stomach deficiency cold(脾胃虛寒) and since then he had received several treatments including herbal treatment, acupumcture treatment, supportive therapy, and family therapy. These treatments were successful and reduced the level of symptoms. After discharged from the hospital, he had continued receiving outpatient treatment with his family for 8 months and his progress had been still observed after the discharge. Results: The symptoms of patient had been almost reduced and eliminated after he received 29days of admission treatment and the patient got better and better and now lives a normal life 8 months outpatient treatment. Conclusions: This result suggests that our oriental medical treatments and family treatments was effective on schizophrenia.
