        Improved Work Function of Preferentially Oriented Indium Oxide Films Induced by the Plasma Exposure Technique

        The preferentially oriented In2O3 thin films were prepared on glass substrates by conventional magnetron sputtering with Ar+ plasma exposure at room temperature. Based on the x-ray diffraction, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and UV photoelectron spectroscopy results, it was found that the Ar+ plasma exposure not only enhanced the low-temperature crystallization of In2O3 thin films, but also led to a dramatic improvement in the work function. Furthermore, it demonstrated that the shift mechanism of the work function in In2O3 thin films mainly combined with theelimination of oxygen defects and the change of the preferential orientation of In2O3 film surface.

        汉语教师志愿者教学适应问题考察与建议 - 以赴韩国中小学汉语教师志愿者为例

        The Volunteer Chinese Teachers take the task of teaching Chinese as a foreign language and spreading Chinese culture. Their job plays an important role. However, because of the lack of teaching skill training and teaching experience, their teaching adaptation problem gradually revealed. Using the methods of questionnaire survey and interview, the thesis takes the volunteers in primary and secondary schools in South Korea as an example, to study the problem of teaching adaptation, including environment of teaching Chinese abroad, Chinese textbooks and other teaching resources, volunteer’s working pressure, influence of personal factors, life adaptation, learning and training before being abroad. Based on analysis of the survey data, we draw the following conclusions: the staffs in Korean Schools are friendly to the volunteer Chinese teachers, and their experience in Chinese teaching and management has a great influence on the work of volunteers. Most of the schools have their own Chinese textbooks, but the Volunteers need to get some teaching materials which are mainly from the internet. Many volunteers have a large amount of work. Some volunteers are not familiar with Chinese teaching situation and the students’ study habits in South Korea, which brings them some difficulties. So many volunteers need more than three months to adapt to their work in Korea. Most of the respondents think that the training and learning before going abroad are necessary, but that aren’t targeted. At last, the thesis gives some suggestions to the administration department of volunteer selection, pre-service training before going abroad, the universities and the volunteers themselves. We hope that these suggestions can not only provide some reference on pre-job training of volunteer Chinese teachers, but also help volunteer Chinese teachers adapt the job of teaching Chinese and culture communication as soon as possible when they go abroad.

        Review : Mast Cells and Irritable Bowel Syndrome: From the Bench to the Bedside

        Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is traditionally defined as a functional disorder since it lacks demonstrable pathological abnormalities. However, in recent years, low grade inflammatory infiltration, often rich in mast cells, in both the small and large bowel, has been observed in some patients with IBS. The close association of mast cells with major intestinal functions, such as epithelial secretion and permeability, neuroimmune interactions, visceral sensation, and peristalsis, makes researchers and gastroenterologists to focus attention on the key roles of mast cells in the pathogenesis of IBS. Numerous studies have been carried out to identify the mechanisms in the development, infiltration, activation, and degranulation of intestinal mast cells, as well as the actions of mast cells in the processes of mucosal barrier disruption, mucosal immune dysregulation, visceral hypersensitivity, dysmotility, and local and central stress in IBS. Moreover, therapies targeting mast cells, such as mast cell stabilizers (cromoglycate and ketotifen) and antagonists of histamine and serotonin receptors, have been tried in IBS patients, and have partially exhibited considerable efficacy. This review focuses on recent advances in the role of mast cells in IBS, with particular emphasis on bridging experimental data with clinical therapeutics for IBS patients.         Microbial transformation of ginsenoside Rg3 to ginsenoside Rh2 by Esteya vermicola CNU 120806.

        <P>In the present investigation, we successfully employed a cell-free extract of Esteya vermicola CNU 120806 to convert ginsenoside Rg3 to Rh2. Three important factors including pH, temperature and substrate concentration were optimized for the preparation of Rh(2). The optimal condition was obtained as follows: 50C, pH 5.0 and substrate concentration of 3 mg ml(-1). The yield of conversion was up to 90.7%. In order to identify the specificity of the β-glucosidase activity of Esteya vermicola CNU 120806, ginsenoside Re (protopanaxatriol saponins) was treated under the same reaction system. Interestingly, no new metabolite was generated, which elucidated that the enzymatic process only occurred by hydrolysis of the terminal glucopyranosyl moieties at the C-3 carbon of ginsenoside Rg(3). The crude enzyme extract can be used for commercial ginsenoside Rh(2) preparation.</P>

        Design and Simulation of a Pseudo Planar Dual-Color Photodetector Based on the PIN Photodiodes

        In this paper, design and simulation of a pseudo planar dual-color photodetector is demonstrated in detail using Atlas Silvaco software. The theoretical results are presented for a dual-color detector that simultaneously detects visible radiation in the 320–670 nm and NIR radiation in the 600–950 nm regions. There is no electrical crosstalk and a few percent spectral crosstalk. The architecture of the device is made up of the In 0.51 Ga 49 P and GaAs PIN photodiodes, similar to those made in traditional process, but on the different layers of the junctions. One PIN photodiode is on the surface of the device, the other is located on the neighbor bottom hole. The detector having separate Visible- and NIR-active regions with three contacts allows the separation of the Visible and NIR generated photocurrent components. That makes the detector identify the relative strength of each component from the whole photocurrent. Because of the three contacts (one common contact for both active regions), there is a true simultaneous detection and each PIN photodiode of this device is addressable.

        Experimental study of extracting artificial boundary condition frequencies for dynamic model updating

        In the field of dynamic measurement and structural damage identification, it is generally known that modal frequencies may be measured with higher accuracy than mode shapes. However, the number of natural frequencies within a measurable range is limited. Accessing additional forms of modal frequencies is thus desirable. The present study is concerned about the extraction of artificial boundary condition (ABC) frequencies from modal testing. The ABC frequencies correspond to the natural frequencies of the structure with a perturbed boundary condition, but they can be extracted from processing the frequency response functions (FRF) measured in a specific configuration from the structure in its existing state without the need of actually altering the physical support condition. This paper presents a comprehensive experimental investigation into the measurability of the ABC frequencies from physical experiments. It covers the testing procedure through modal testing, the data processing and data analysis requirements, and the FRF matrix operations leading to the extraction of the ABC frequencies. Specific sources of measurement errors and their effects on the accuracy of the extracted ABC frequencies are scrutinised. The extracted ABC frequencies are subsequently applied in the damage identification in beams by means of finite element model updating. Results demonstrate that it is possible to extract the first few ABC frequencies from the modal testing for a variety of artificial boundary conditions incorporating one or two virtual pin supports, and the inclusion of ABC frequencies enables the identification of structural damages without the need to involve the mode shape information.

        African Maternal Origin and Genetic Diversity of Chinese Domestic Donkeys

        The origin of domestic donkeys in China has been controversial. To clarify the origin of Chinese domestic donkeys, we investigated the partial mitochondrial D-loop sequences of 126 samples from 12 native breeds. The results revealed two mitochondrial origins, lineage Somali and lineage Nubian of African wild ass detected in Chinese domestic donkeys. Lineage Somali was predominant in Chinese domestic donkey breeds. The pattern of genetic variation in ass mtDNA D-loop sequences indicated that the two lineages Somali and Nubian from China had undergone population expansion events. In a combined analysis of lineages Somali and Nubian between previously published sequences from other countries/regions and sequences of Chinese domestic donkeys, the results indicated that the two lineages of Chinese domestic donkeys were from Africa and supported the African maternal origins of Chinese domestic donkeys. There was no obvious geographical structure in Chinese domestic donkey breeds, but the population showed abundant mtDNA diversity. The spread routes of Chinese domestic donkeys were also discussed.

      • Improved DV-Hop Localization Algorithm Based on Distance Correction of Anchor Nodes

        This paper presents a kind of DV-Hop localization algorithm based on distance correction of nodes. This algorithm introduces the concept of distance correction factor and combines with the node communication radius to correct the average distance of each hop between unknown node and anchor node,and makes it be closer to the real value. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the average localization error of node, and when the value of distance correction factor is 0.8,the average localization error of node under DA-DV-Hop localization algorithm is reduced 15.53% than the traditional DV-Hop localization algorithm.
